Spotting after intercourse - 35 weeks

Hi All-

This is will be my third child. Each time during late pregnancy DH and I have had intercourse (infrequently but still). Today we did the deed and now I’m spotting light pink when I went to the bathroom. I never had this with the first two. Should I be concerned? My doc isn’t in today and I thought I’d ask if anyone had experienced this. TIA!

It's probably just irritating your cervix. Every time I have a cervical check I spot a little bit.

My doctor said to let her know if there was spotting of any kind in the 3rd trimester. If it was me, I wouldn't be too worried, but I would also call my doctor or whomever I am supposed to call after hours.

At the doc now. They want to do an internal exam to make sure All is ok.

Thanks All. Baby is doing well and internal check came back normal. She said if cramping continues they want to see me again this week. They think it may be a UTI and sent my urine out to the lab. I’ll let you know what lab says.
