  • Current stats if you'd like to share!  (Usually starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight.)
SW: 199 CW: 160 TTC goal weight: as low as I can get before getting KU. Was hoping for at least 160, any more would be great!

Fitness game plan for this week: Get to the gym at least 3x this week (been off my schedule b/c of the move, 5x would be idea)

Did you meet last week's goals?
Nope. Only made it to the gym twice.

Fitness goal for this month: Get back in my routine, 3x week weight lifting, 2x week straight cardio

Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations?
Eating right when you're working like a mad woman is HARD!

GTKY: What's your favorite tasty AND healthy dish?
I found a great recipe from Skinnytaste.com for a turkey taco spaghetti squash boat. https://www.skinnytaste.com/turkey-taco-spaghetti-squash-boats/ I like them because you still get salsa and cheese, and you do get a good taste from the spaghetti squash, so you don't miss the tortilla overly much. Plus, so much of the squash fills you up!

  • Current stats if you'd like to share:
    Currently 165lbs.

Fitness game plan for this week:
At least 20 minutes of yoga every work day

Did you meet last week's goals?
    No. I think I did 3 or 4 of 5

    Fitness goal for this month:
More stretching and doing more active things. I’ve been waking up with a stiff neck (although I think I need a new pillow), so i’d like to practice more self care relating to that.

Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations?
Doing yoga with a toddler around is not relaxing at all, but I like to think it practices more patience and focus.

GTKY: What's your favorite tasty AND healthy dish? (hope this hasn't been done in the not-too-recent-past!)
Tasty and healthy? Hmmm... there’s a good turkey chili recipe I like to make, but once you doctor it up with sour cream and cheese it’s not so healthy anymore...

  • @meggyme - yay for yoga! and double yay for doing yoga with a toddler around! I agree it would help practice more patience. :) Mmm, turkey chili - it's getting to be that time of year! I think next weekend will be soup-palooza!

  • @meggyme I feel you on the yoga. All of a sudden my body is a jungle gym!

Current stats if you'd like to share!  (Usually starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight.)

SW for the year was 170 CW 140 and change, GW 135 or so

Fitness game plan for this week:

I want to work out at least 5 days a week with 21 Day Fix workouts.

Did you meet last week's goals?

    Nope

    Fitness goal for this month:

    I
want to do at least one round of the 21DF

Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations?

I'm really proud of my success this year, but it definitely is more of a struggle being so close to my goal weight. I get to relaxed. I'm less motivated.

GTKY: What's your favorite tasty AND healthy dish? (hope this hasn't been done in the not-too-recent-past!)

I love spinach ricotta lasagna rolls ups

  • Current stats if you'd like to share!  (Usually starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight.)
SW: when I delivered my daughter I was somewhere around 215
    CW: 195
    GW: 185 by Jan 1
    Long term GW: 150-160

Fitness game plan for this week:
Stick to my meals and snacks I bring to work and nothing else.  (Easier than calorie counting for me.)
Exercise 3x a week (30 min cardio, arm weights)

Did you meet last week's goals?
I didn't have any, so yes!  Haha.

    Fitness goal for this month:
I am dying to get into the 180s!  I was so close around 191 or 192, but then ***TW I had my miscarriage, fell totally off the wagon health and fitness wise end TW*** so I'm back up to the mid 190's.  We have family holiday photos in 2 weeks, so I'm hoping to lose as much as is healthily possible by then!

Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations?
I'm an emotional/stress eater, so any time I am feeling really down it's tough for me to stick to a diet plan, but I'm trying really hard to focus on health even though I'm not feeling 100% emotionally because it's important for me for when we start TTC again once I'm not benched.

GTKY: What's your favorite tasty AND healthy dish? (hope this hasn't been done in the not-too-recent-past!)
This completely grosses my husband out, but I love cottage cheese and salsa!  It's maybe not the healthiest thing in the world (bc of salt?) but I've been known to have a baked potato with cottage cheese and salsa on top for dinner. I also love spaghetti squash!
  • @maureenmce that actually sounds pretty good! (The sour cream and salsa on a potato) I'm trying to go lower carb, though. It's hard, I love carbs, but I know they don't usually fill me up, but baked potatoes are an exception!

  • Thanks for starting this @catlady2015

Current stats if you'd like to share:
I'm trying to focus on non-scale victories.  I don't feel like the scale properly represents how I look or feel.

Fitness game plan for this week:
Get back into the gym after a serious stomach virus that took me out for the last week.  Start off with no weight and work back up.

Did you meet last week's goals?
I was so sick I must have lost weight but not in a healthy way!

    Fitness goal for this month:
Consistent gym routines!  I need to set a schedule and follow through!

Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations?
My friend and I work out together and want to both take our CPT and start our own business.  We're just at the beginning of what I know will be a long road and I just want it to be here now!

GTKY: What's your favorite tasty AND healthy dish? (hope this hasn't been done in the not-too-recent-past!)
I love homemade hummus!  I could finish off a whole bunch of celery that way!

  • Glad to see the fitness thread is back! I definitely need the movitation.

Current stats if you'd like to share!  (Usually starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight.) Not sure what my weight is right now - I don't think it has changed at all lately.

Fitness game plan for this week: I wish I had an actual game plan this week lol. I have really fallen off the wagon with exercise and am struggling to figure out how to get back on. My schedule is very weird this week but I'm hoping to get at least one yoga session in before the weekend.

Did you meet last week's goals?
    I did not have any!

Fitness goal for this month: To get back on track.

Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations?

GTKY: What's your favorite tasty AND healthy dish? (hope this hasn't been done in the not-too-recent-past!)
I don't know about my overall favorite dish, but for breakfast recently I've been making quiches with sweet potato "crusts" instead of a pie crust. It is quite tasty, so it's my current favorite!
  • @diaphena I was this way too, but I was feeling so tired and achy I just started by doing one quick 20 minute yoga session (I do free ones from yoga download.com) and the next day was even easier to convince myself to do.

  • @diaphena I just made one of those yesterday! Love sweet potato crust quiche!

  • So I think I decided I’m going to start trying to pack lunches for work instead of eating at the cafeteria. It’s so easy to say yes to French fries and unhealthy food, not to mention I pay an average of $40/week there. I’m planning to try some mason jar meals and cook up some rice and chicken in my instant pot and assemble some different flavors. I have a surprisingly long list so far:

    greek/tzaziki
    taco
    thai peanut
    teriyaki
    italian
    pasta salad
    bbq
    pesto
    Ramen

  • @meggyme I will have to check out yoga download. Do You Yoga's youtube channel is also good if you ever need something new to mix it up. And thanks for the encouragement - I need to focus on how good it'll make me feel!

@lalala2004 I was surprised by how good the sweet potato crust was! And easier to make than I thought it would be, too. Win-win!
  • Literally just reading through this thread inspired me to lift weights really quick before heading to work! Woo! Thanks for the healthy inspiration guys!
  • @diaphena if you like the format of their classes look on Groupon. They’ll often have discounts around 50% off their subscriptions.
