And what would your ideal weekend be like?

Re: Weekend GTKY 11/4-11/5

  • My ILs are in town and plan to take DS for the day so DH and I can clean/organize our house.

Ideally, I'd like to sleep in (these days that means 8 or later lol), probably sew a thing or two, go out and do something fun with DH and DS. Usually when we don't have plans with other people we'll take a lazy day and watch TV or movies most of the day, then the other day is spent cleaning and/or going out somewhere.

  • I'm packing and cleaning before our little mini-vacation with my parents, and DH is at work. We're spending four days at Disney with them, and then next Saturday, we leave to go visit DH's parents for five days!

  • @meggyme Was just coming here to start this asking the exact same question LOL.

We should have a good weekend here. Not much on the agenda today just having a relaxing day. Straightened up the kitchen and did dishes earlier. College Football is on ATM. DS will eat and then go down for nap in about 30minutes. When DS gets up he is going to grammas house and we are going OOT to see DSD sing in district choir, we're going early so I can take DH to one of my favorite Mexican places since the concert is in my home town.
Not much going on tomorrow. Church and I need to go to the party to see what I have to work with for DS part in a couple weeks. I also hope to make some Chex mix and get my Christmas stuff out of the garage.

  • DH and I were really busy this week so this weekend we're taking it easy. We were supposed to have a yard work day but it's been raining, which I'm not disappointed about lol. So far we have been watching TV, reading, eating leftover Halloween candy and getting a few minimal house chores done. :) Tomorrow we will probably have to be at least a little more productive, haha.

My ideal weekend involves sleeping in, not having to cook, having some time to myself just to unwind, and maybe getting out to see a few friends or going somewhere fun with DH. I really like my weekends to be recovery time from the rest of the week!
  • So I thought we were having a quiet weekend, but apparently it’s homecoming weekend at the university near us and this is happening next door:

We’re having a few people over tonight for the UFC fight, which is nice because it means I can be social and I don’t need to find a sitter!

My ideal weekend would be a mix of hanging out at home and with friends. Like getting brunch with people and then a quiet dinner I don’t have to cook. Sleeping in is a thing of the past, but that would be ideal too.

  • We're busy this weekend! Went to Sam's Club, did a makeup swim lesson for DS (skipped his usual time for trick or treating). Went to two different grocery stores to find these specific breakfast bars that help DS poop. #momlife .

Tomorrow is church and then we're going to see Thor!

Honestly a perfect weekend would be doing both except maybe going to the park or something like that.

  • This weekend is a haircut, new curtains, a night out with DH (yay), and need to work some tomorrow.

An ideal weekend is sleeping in till 8, an easy errands list, a good afternoon/evening with DH, a lazy Sunday, and baking some yummy dessert sometime during the weekend. Ooh, maybe we’ll make cheesecake tomorrow.
