Re: Friday Ticker Change 11.03
1. How far along are you? How big is baby?
26 weeks- a zucchini baby
2. How are you feeling/ current symptoms?
I feel good except for - constipation! Ugh this is a symptom I could really do without. But otherwise I honestly can't complain, this week has been pretty painless and I'm glad to have only minor annoyances
3. Any appointments upcoming?
Had an appt today- all looks good! Doing my glucose test next week
4. Rants/ Raves/ Questions?
Rave - we had our first (of 2) baby shower last week and got so many sweet gifts for baby. Holding his little onesies was the most wonderful feeling - can't wait to meet this little boy in just a few months
5. What are you procrastinating the most on your to-do list (before baby or otherwise)?
Ugh we are starting a full blown renovation of our bathroom, and adding a new bath, starting next week. The Reno will be happening until January (ughhh please mr contractor, please don't delay!). As a result, we put a lot of time into planning the bathrooms but zero thought about a nursery. That's next on the list. Pretty sure the nursery will be done by July 2018!
6. Are you ready for the holiday season now that it's in full swing?
I'm so ready- very motivated to do a ton of online shopping around Black Friday/ cyber Monday and just be done! I want to avoid any unnecessary holiday shopping stress this year and just enjoy the season
How far along are you? How big is baby?
25 weeks cauliflower
2. How are you feeling/ current symptoms?
No pregnancy symptoms whatsoever
3. Any appointments upcoming?
Glucose on Saturday
4. Rants/ Raves/ Questions?
No.
5. What are you procrastinating the most on your to-do list (before baby or otherwise)?
Cleaning the house.
6. Are you ready for the holiday season now that it's in full swing?
No because once holidays are over baby's here...and I'm not ready- physically/ mentally.
25 weeks! Wow!!! And the size of a cauliflower!
2. How are you feeling/ current symptoms?
Ive been much more tired lately! More sharp pains in my belly and they have even woken me up from a dead sleep! It's super weird! Hoping they aren't like this until baby arrives
3. Any appointments upcoming?
Finally meeting my OB on the 16th (MFM doctor). Hopefully having an ultrasound and deciding whether we are doing a repeat csection or a VBAC
4. Rants/ Raves/ Questions?
None like usual!
5. What are you procrastinating the most on your to-do list (before baby or otherwise)?
Pretty much everything baby related! The biggest is transitioning our toddler to a big boy bed! We have an almost 2 year old and he will be sharing the room with the baby and he is still sleeping in the crib. We tried to switch him to a toddler bed since we will use the crib for the new baby but he refuses to sleep in it! He cries and yells "crib" so we let him sleep in it! How can we not when he sleeps 12 straight hours in it!
Any tips on getting your toddler to sleep in a big boy bed would be great!
6. Are you ready for the holiday season now that it's in full swing?
I am so ready for the holiday season (Christmas!!). We have booked our flights to visit our family for 2 weeks over the holidays! We haven't seen them since the middle of August so they will be shocked at the change in my belly! I'm so excited for a break from work and to get some much needed family time!
Feeling better this week.
No appointments this week.
Modified bedrest sucks but is better than full-on bedrest.
I'm procrastinating on a car seat currently.
I love the holidays.
.1How far along are you? How big is baby?
25 weeks. Baby is the size of a prairie dog which makes me very happy
2. How are you feeling/ current symptoms?
lots of movement! My hips are starting to hurt from sleeping on my side.
3. Any appointments upcoming?
had one last week and DR says everything looks good. Next month is my glucose test
4. Rants/ Raves/ Questions?
going to a friends baby shower tomorrow
5. What are you procrastinating the most on your to-do list (before baby or otherwise)?
i have a few handyman jobs around the house that I need to find someone to do since DH is too busy
6. Are you ready for the holiday season now that it's in full swing?
holidays are always stressful for us with scheduling between our two families. DH is first born so every time we can't do everything his family used to do we are breaking tradition and it turns into a huge emotional mess.
so happy you get to go home for the holidays @kbrinks2 !! There is nothing better in the world
@TattoosandLace is your bedrest permanent? Any hope they could change your restrictions. Having to go on bed rest is one of my biggest stresses, mainly for what it would mean financially.
1. How far along are you? How big is baby? 25 weeks, cauliflower
2. How are you feeling/ current symptoms? Feeling pretty good! The worst symptoms are the random Charlie horses (cramping) in my calves and groin in the middle of the night. It seems to happen once or twice a week and wakes me up from a dead sleep.
3. Any appointments upcoming? OB appt on Fri
4. Rants/ Raves/ Questions? I love feeling this little guy move. He’s really active in the mornings, so I lay in bed as long as possible, enjoying the kicks.
5. What are you procrastinating the most on your to-do list (before baby or otherwise)? EVERYTHING. I’m finally getting a start on contacting post-partum doulas and I plan to start my registry next weekend?!?!
6. Are you ready for the holiday season now that it's in full swing? Thanksgiving is the biggest holiday for us. Totally ready for that, then we’re in full baby prep mode!
1. How far along are you? How big is baby?26 weeks, bowling pin
2. How are you feeling/ current symptoms? I have a cold so feeling super congested.
3. Any appointments upcoming? No dr appt til 11/22, but have to do the 3 hour glucose. I did the one hour on Monday and got a 137 but my dr office cutoff is 135 so on to the 3 hour test
4. Rants/ Raves/ Questions?
5. What are you procrastinating the most on your to-do list (before baby or otherwise)? We need to do the nursery, I need to figure out what bottles to go with and other random baby stuff we don’t have left from when DS was a baby
6. Are you ready for the holiday season now that it's in full swing? Not even remotely. I got DS a lego advent calendar and that’s about it. I’ve seen people on insta already decorating for Christmas and I feel so behind. I think I might decorate early cuz I don’t think I’m going to feel like doing it later.

....
starting to get things marked off the to do list last week. Registry done, ordered breast pump, nursery coming together.
I absolutely love the holidays! Already bought a ton of gift decorating items from target (who had all the christmas things out on Halloween!!)
1. How far along are you? How big is baby?
25 weeks Cauliflower
2. How are you feeling/ current symptoms?
I have energy in the morning but am exhausted by 7pm. Achiness/heaviness in lower abdomen when I'm on my feet too long or walk too long.
3. Any appointments upcoming?
November 29th is my next appointment. I'll have my glucose screening.
4. Rants/ Raves/ Questions?
I've been a bit "backed up" and am trying to get more fiber in. What is your best advice for staying 'regular"?
5. What are you procrastinating the most on your to-do list (before baby or otherwise)?
Just general clutter management. It is time to get rid of a bunch of items (papers, unused toys, outgrown clothes etc) I like to go through that a few times a year and declutter... but I've spent my time keeping up with laundry, dishes, cooking, working, and caring for the 2 crazy kids in my house. Doesn't leave much time for the rest right now.
6. Are you ready for the holiday season now that it's in full swing?
Yes, I love the holidays. I love spending time with family and having time off work with my kids/DH. It is also a relaxing time for us. Looking forward to it.
