I have my first growth u/s tomorrow, it’s the first of many many appointments I have for the remainder of this pregnancy. I’m also meeting with my doula on Thursday
Had my GD test this morning. Then had to go get an ultrasound for my cervix check. This tech measured it different than the previous two techs so I’m really not sure that I trust that my cervix went from 1.8 to 3.7 in two weeks. I have my normal ultrasound and ob apt next week so hopefully she isn’t doing my measurements then because I don’t trust her or believe that she is 2lbs 7 oz right now. Hell. Maybe she is but I don’t believe it. Haha.
I'm having a meeting with my midwives tomorrow and an echocardiogram for the little one. They've done two ultrasounds already but he doesn't want people to see he really has a heart. So now they're sending us to the cardio folks. I'm not too nervous for it.
I'm also doing a second glucose test. I passed the first one weeks ago but they wanted to test me twice because of my weight. I feel fine and believe I'll pass this one as well. But it does make you nervous. I'm actually more nervous about that than anything else. And they want to draw my blood and I hate that and DH can't go with me.
At least the vampires at my hospital are nice ones.
Just got home from my 31 week appointment. Heart rate was 140 and I feel her move frequently so doctor is not concerned. Next appointment is Tdap, didn't do it today because I'm sick.
I just had my follow up US this afternoon. My LO had an EIF (white spot on the heart) during the anatomy scan. Today her heart looked perfect!! It was a bit of a relief. Baby girl is looking really good, in head down position. I will follow up with my midwife on Wednesday to get the official report.

Had my bi weekly appointment today, I’m at the point where my dr has me alternating between seeing her and the other midwives in the practice so no matter when I go into labor I’ll know the person delivering the baby lol. This is the first time my weight has been mentioned at all (31 weeks tomorrow), and it was a “yup this is the point it’s normal to gain several pounds at a time you’re doing fine”. Everything looks good, he’s still measuring about 2 weeks ahead (and has been for about 2 months) so she suggested we do a growth ultrasound at 36 weeks if he’s still measuring ahead.
Ob said that she is confident in the cervical length the tech provided, which I still feel was weirdly measured. And I can start incorporating some activity. Which is good because I did Halloween stuff yesterday, and probably overdid it. Also, I told DH and his first thing he asked was "sex?" and "so you can clean the litter boxes." Ugh. Yes. I can do both. Although the litter boxes was getting hard for me before getting on bedrest so now it's going to still be hard. Better go find my mask and gloves again.
Just had my 30 week appointment. Baby sounds good. She did mention that she wasn't head down yet, which I thought huh, I definitely felt hiccups way down there. OB said she should flip in a few weeks and stay that way. We did discuss my breathing problems and my tachycardia. I'm supposed to keep a journal of what is happening, when, where, what I just did, what my heart rate is. And if it last more than 30 minutes go to the ER. She is thinking maybe my blood pressure keeps bottoming out. It was 98/58 just now at my appointment. Follow up and growth scan in 2 weeks
Had my 30 week midwife appointment today. It was a good (albeit long) appointment, and I got the list of all the stuff I need to prep for the homebirth. Ish is getting real y'all. We also got to talk about my 3 hour GD numbers, I was a little worried about my last number being too low (51), but she basically said it's further proof that I don't have GD and just to make sure I'm eating when I'm hungry, so thats a relief it's nothing to worry about, since it kinda freaked me out seeing it flagged red on the lab report.

I’m up to every two week appointments now and I have one tomorrow. Probably just a Check the pee and weight and heartbeat appt. Last one she mentioned the weight was a little too much. Sigh. I feel like I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t do I kinda pigged out this week so don’t expect it to be that great lol. Oh well. Lots of time after to get back in shape.
I'm also in every two week appointments, I have one tomorrow. My BP has been creeping up a little so I expect to have changes to my meds. I also got a call today that they've started scheduling my third trimester high risk tests. Starting Friday I'll be in for a growth scan once a week and NST twice a week for the rest of the pregnancy. Tomorrow I get the schedule for the rest of my testing, but I've worked my last 40 hour week of the pregnancy. *gulp* That snuck up on me. She's also scheduling a 24 hour urine test. God I hope they let me do that on a weekend or day off, I really don't want to carry around a bucket of pee at work.I want to talk about the actual induction date she has in mind so I can plan my maternity leave etc.
Well. High risk just got real. I've been feeling so good about how things are going, like we're past some kind of turning point. Like against all odds, maybe i am going to have an incident free, safe, unscary pregnancy...
And then today my OB sits me down and tells me with my health history, it's not a matter of whether I develop pre-e it's when. She said we're basically at a point where even though I feel good and my BP has stayed normal/high normal all along, we're taking it week by week now. She wants me to be prepared for hospital bed rest any day because my BP could be 200/115 tomorrow, we just don't know. She also said stop stressing about next year's insurance, he'll be a December baby for sure, and don't plan on working at all after Christmas.
This is my testing schedule for the rest of the year. Fail any of these, and I'm inpatient until delivery.
I think the app ate my photo? There's over 20 appointments just for tests, not counting my office visits...
@auntieraindrop that's a heavy appointment, but it sounds like your OB is giving you excellent care. FX your BP numbers keep steady for a while longer!

Had my first biophysical US today at the MFM. Things look great and I'm on track for a 7lb baby. MFM said that if I have a favorable cervix that is dilating, he'd like to see me induced before new years, about 10 days prior to my due date. He also said that regardless of my cervix, I shouldn't go past my due date. So...I guess operation dilate is officially on for the next 8ish weeks.
I'm planning on lots of pregnancy tea, sex, evening primrose oil once it's safe, and walking and/or squats. I'm seeing my midwife on Tuesday so hopefully she will have some other suggestions and insight.
@auntieraindrop Hugs! I think the good news here is that you are, as @KatieEl noted, getting excellent care. A bit hard to wrap one's head around possible hospital bed rest BUT good to kn ow you are being so closely monitored etc.
@auntieraindrop hugs! I have lots of monitoring coming up as well...no bed rest, but its hard to feel tied to the doctor's office. I'm glad they're keeping a good eye on you though.
I'm with you on the crazy appointment schedule, @auntieraindrop! In two weeks time, I'm going to start having THREE appointments/week. I also work full time and have a toddler. How the heck am I supposed to manage all of these appointments? I'll have two NST's a week (including growth scans), plus a weekly OB appointment. To make things worse, my NST's are scheduled at a hospital 30 minutes away from my house, after work...which means I'll then be sitting in rush hour traffic on the way home. I'm already grouchy! My pregnancy has been totally uneventful, and the tests are just precautionary because the doctors don't really know how my condition can/will affect baby (I have a carnitine deficiency...it's a genetic condition). So, they're just doing these tests to make sure baby is growing as he should. I didn't have any of them with DD, and she was perfect, so I feel like it's overkill. But...I'll do what I need to for the health of my baby. That doesn't mean I'm not grouchy about it though!
Well I just got back from my first round of testing. Growth ultrasound shows he's a little big, he's 3.3 lbs currently and his head and belly measure at 30 weeks 1 day (I am currently 28+4). I have a lot of fluid too, not enough to qualify as polyhydramnios but close enough to keep a close eye on. He passed the biophysical part, except it took him 31 minutes to do practice breathing, because he's a stubborn little puke. The tech said technically because it took longer than 30 minutes, it should mark as failed but she was going to put it as pass.
NST was perfect and my BP was a little high when I first sat down, but went right down to 117/82 when I had laid there for a minute. They were very happy with it and just gave me some things to call if I saw (reduced fetal movement, bleeding, things I already knew to call.) Now I go back on Tuesday for round 2.
@auntieraindrop omg that's adorable! Glad your BP was good and they passed you on the BPP- we failed the only one we had to do with DD and it was not a pleasant experience.

I got lots of pictures. He was sucking his toes.
