subcronic hemorrhage pregnancy through forst and second trimester

Hello!! Haven’t been on here since my last babe!! And I always liked getting info from other mom’s who have a clue what’s going on. Ha!!

So at 7 weeks I started bleeding, and had an ultra sound the following day and a second one at 8 weeks. The ultra sounds showed a hemorrhage from the implantation site that was the same size as baby’s gestational sac. :( I was put on bed rest and told that I would more than likely miscarry.  A lot of the time the hemorrhage in the second trimester will occur where the placenta attaches, but mine is in my lower left uterus, where the placenta has attached on the upper right.
But here I am, almost in my second trimester and the clot is no where near the placenta.. I went for another ultra sound the day before 13 weeks and baby is growing fine, and has a healthy heartbeat. The hemorrhage is now ‘small to moderate’ which means 20%-50% of the gestational sac.. such a huge variance.. since the tech would not give me any information this time around(had a dr with the ultra sounds at week 7&8) I’m not quite sure how big it is.
So I’m just wondering if any mama’s have been through this, having such a large hemorrhage that hasn’t dissipated within a few weeks and has lasted through to the second trimester?
im usually a very physically active person and was planning on working throughout my pregnancy, however this hemorrhage means NO GYM and NO WORK(I worked in a hotel restaurant and am in school to be an electrician) Also, I have a 3 year old little boy who doesn’t understand that mommy can’t play rough(we love horsing around and play fighting... little boys and their ninjas haha) He does understand that there’s a baby!! And asks to see my belly everyday, which melts my heart!! But 3 year olds can be quite the handful, and it’s been a rough couple months... and I’m looking for a light at the end of a tunnel, preferably before our little peanut is in our arms.

  • I had 2 SCH's at 6 weeks, and was put on bedrest. I would advise you to take it seriously. I felt the same way, it sucked. I was planning on working out, I have a 3 yr old and an 8 yr old, and not being able to do things with them as I usually would was awful, but I took my restrictions very seriously. My sister is a OB nurse and she told me rest is the very best thing to help heal these (opinions vary with these, some dr's don't put their patients on rest but I swear it helped me) A couple weeks ago I was picking up my kids toys (which I should not of done and had a big bleed resulting in a visit in the ER) I got my SCH's checked yesterday at 13 weeks and one is completely gone while the other one shrunk from 2inches to 1/2 an inch, which is great. I am still on pelvic rest and I don't lift hardly anything. I just keep thinking positively, and reminding myself this is temporary.
