With family. We kinda take turns, we either have it at our house, or spend earlier in the day at my sister's house and then spend the rest of the day with my in-laws.

I honestly don't think I could pick. It's just the combination of everything together. Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce (the jelly kind that keeps the shape of the can when you put it on the plate LOL), corn, green bean casserole, salad, pumpkin pie. Yummmmmmm
What's your least favorite Thanksgiving food?
I don't think I have one. I'm not a big fan of the other pies sometimes served, pecan or whatever. And I would never want some of the "new take on old favorites" stuff like acorn cranberry stuffing or broasted mint glazed potatoes instead of just plain old mashed. I totally made those dishes up, but I've seen similar things in magazines and it makes me a little sad. It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without the traditional food.

Not really. Just watch the parade and then eat a lot.
Do you plan to go Black Friday shopping?
Hell no. You won't catch me anywhere near a store on Thanksgiving or the day after. Online shopping all the way for me.

Typically with family. Last year it was with my in laws, the year before it was just me and SO. This year we are going to Disney. (Shhhh! I actually hate thanksgiving)

Pretty much everything else... Except stuffing. Stuffing is just kinda there.

My mom really killed holidays for me as a kid by trying to make traditions stick that sucked for everyone involved. We would spend days trapped in the kitchen with my mom yelling at us, and then hours after the dinner doing all the dishes because that was women work. -.- The only fun tradition we had was decorating for Christmas the day after thanksgiving.
As an adult we've made a tradition of me and my dad doing the turkey trot 5k every year. My mom, SO, and now J go and wait for us at the finish line.
Do you plan to go Black Friday shopping?
Lol no. That doesn't look like a good time to me.

Do you have any Thanksgiving family traditions? Besides eating? No, not really. Although the guys sometimes go hunting that morning and occasionally again that evening. And a football game is usually on. I always beg for the parade to be on so I can catch the Rockettes, but usually lose that battle lol.

last year was our first year away from home, and some of my family came to us, which was great! Weather is much better in AZ in Nov.
but honestly when we lived near family we worked on thanksgiving (chheeaaa time+1/2) but celebrated a different day

when I was little, my parents would challenge each other to make the better turkey. My dad deep fried it, and my mom spent hours doing everything traditionally from scratch. Yet my dad would win bc, come on, it's fried ... --we don't do this anymore bc they divorced... not over the turkey though

no way in hell. I hate everything about it. Sign me up for cyber Monday and small business Saturday.
How do you typically celebrate Thanksgiving (with family, friends, etc.)?
I host my family. Sometimes my in laws come too, but I much prefer to have a separate gathering with them. Too many cooks in the kitchen and too much chaos.
What's your favorite Thanksgiving food?
I love stuffing but it's not the same being gluten free. I also love spinach casserole and my mom's cranberries. She makes it into ice cubes and we poor the liquid over the cubes in little goblets.
What's your least favorite Thanksgiving food?
Turkey. I cook it, but it takes up the least real estate in my plate.

My family always makes sherbet floats for lunch with cheese and crackers to hold us over until dinner.

No. I like my sleep and hate crowds. I'll do Cyber Monday deals from the comfort of my couch.

The past few years we’ve alternated years between my family and DH’s. This year we are going to spend the night at my parent’s the night before (they live an hour away) so we can be there in the morning for sausage balls (my family’s holiday breakfast tradition) and watch the parade, then we’ll head to DH’s parent’s.

You gotta eat it all together...a bite of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. Ah, heaven.

We live in Canada so we just celebrated Thanksgiving in October. We don’t have a lot family out here so we had dinner with friends, there were 25 of us. It was really nice!
I am American and grew up in the Northeast. I love American Thanksgiving I try to go home for it if I can. It’s not possible this year, so I’ll be taking off half a day of work to make a small dinner for myself, DH and DD.

Do you have any Thanksgiving family traditions? My family in the States does dinner with just immediate family around 2pm and then we rally to meet up with our huge extended family around 6pm for a second dinner, backyard football game, drinking, playing music and cards. It’s a blast there are usually 70-80 of us that show up.
Do you plan to go Black Friday shopping? No, it’s morning my thing. I’m more of a Cyber Monday kind of girl. No lines.

Not really, just watching the parade. DH has weird food traditions as his family makes random food thats not usually traditional like potato salad and pasta and such. I'm glad we get to experience his family and my family since we do the traditional food.

Do you have any Thanksgiving family traditions? We watch the parade in the morning and eat cheese sausage biscuits for breakfast. We always decorate for Christmas the day after.

We would go to Utah and celebrate with my parents families. My dad is one of 11 and my mom is one of five. I'm a younger cousin on both sides. This year we won't have any family nearby, so it will just be the 3.5 of us unless we're invited somewhere. It's a depressing thought, but we'll see what happens.

Not particularly, except maybe having cold leftovers the next day. Just the feeling of being together is my favorite "tradition." We don't all get along perfectly, but we all love each other

I couldn't by myself. It was fun to go with my same age cousins, but I wouldn't go by myself.
With our military family! This year we have friends who were stationed with at our last base coming to visit us from Norway and Germany. We will be spending some time in London while they are here.

Not really until we moved away from family and it’s now always a “Friendsgiving.” We also do a lunch at my husbands shop with his squadron.

I don’t want to, but I know our guests probably will.
We celebrate with family, but switch years with mine and DH's we bth are from Indiana but from different ends of the state. It makes it way more enjoyable to just spend the whole holiday with one family then splitting it and spending five hours driving between them and barely seeing anyone.

I'm not really sure. We became vegan a few years ago but I haven't been to my parents for thanksgiving since the switch. We did a tofurkey roast last year that had stuffing in it which was pretty good. And I like most vegetables.

I don't hate it, but maybe cranberries? I could say no to them.

At my parents we usually watch the parade. And my parents church has a Thanksgiving Day Mass that we usually go to as a huge group. (I'm one of seven kids and we're all married with our own kids so a big crowd!)

Every year since I was a kid. I even remember going when the stores didn't open until 5/6 on Friday and we would stand in line for like two hours just to get inside!

Do you have any Thanksgiving family traditions? we never run/wall it but we go to the run to feed he hungry and meet up with friends/get coffee. I teach spin at a studio at he finish and we always have a big party so it’s fun to go to!
Do you plan to go Black Friday shopping? no, I won’t do it. I hate that stores ask people to come in while it’s still a holiday. It’s so sad. We’re not huge Christmas shoppers anyway and this year I think I’m going to surprise DH/DS and go to Disneyland!

It varies year to year. This year we are hosting my parents, my grandma and two aunts, DH's parents and grandpa. It'll be an interesting mix, and I'm a little nervous I can't drink

Whenever my mom and I are together on Thanksgiving we end up choosing some obscure recipe to make that has some ingredient we can't find anywhere. It gets comical.

I've been out on Thanksgiving night a couple times, but never Friday morning. DH scours the ads and will go out by himself for a particular thing some years, but not regularly. I like sleep and online shopping too much to mess with it.
It's all over the place now because we've got my family and hubbies family to visit. Usually he's family early in the day and mine more evening time. Lots of good food though so no complaints.

Well we do it in October for one thing
Most often we do dinner with my parents, brother and my father's sister's family. For a while my parents were away most Octobers so we also started a tradition with some friends of playing Eldritch Horror and making pizza, which we have kept up the last couple years despite my parents being back.

My mom makes this mushroom casserole that the whole family is obsessed with but I think smells absolutely revolting.

It's not as big a thing here obviously, but there have been more and more sales popping up that they call Black Friday. I'll usually go a couple days in to get some gifts or order things online but I hate huge crowds so avoid them when possible.
I have a thanksgiving with my moms side of the family and then later in the day my dads side. (Divorced parents) then we do a thanksgiving dinner with DH family on another day. Neither of my parents are fancy just good family time with DH family they usually have nice table cloths and actual dishes and we go around and say what we’re thanksful for.
