TTGP Grad Check-In 11/2

Hey friends! There aren't very many of us yet, but I wanted to start a casual check-in so we have a place to chat! Hopefully more will join soon :) I already miss my TTGP ladies!

How far along are you?

How are you feeling?

Any recent/upcoming appointments?

Questions?

  • Can we participate in this if we weren’t in the TTGP group?

We have two sleeping beauties in heaven.
Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016.
Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015.
They will be forever missed. <3

  • I was only on TTGP for a brief time, hope it's okay if I jump in!  Congrats @MrsMiller8588!

    How far along are you?
4 weeks tomorrow according to dates but I got a positive test on 10/29, due date is July 13th I think.

    How are you feeling?
OK, not nauseous yet (1st pregnancy my MS started at 4.5 weeks) but food is already sort of unappealing and I get gaggy easily.  My boobs are sore too.   Most likely will be calling the doc in the next week or so to call in a prescription for Zofran

    Any recent/upcoming appointments?
1st appointment is Dec 8th.   I'll get an ultrasound at that appointment so I should have a better picture of how far along I am at that point.   Waiting for that first appointment is so hard.

    Questions?
Any good snack recommendations for keeping
    nausea away?

  • @MrsMiller8588 - That does seem so far away, but it will be here in no time!
@coco2787 - Mints have been working wonders for me, and Gatorade, I know those aren't snacks but they've been helping me. I've also been eating plan veggies as well. Mainly carrots.

How far along are you? According to FF and TB about 4 weeks.

How are you feeling? Tired, that's about it, and at times nauseous

Any recent/upcoming appointments? None yet, I am taking a urine sample to my provider next week, I think that's what I have decided. Since I have next Friday off, and wouldn't have to take extra time off of work, and by that point AF will be 1 week and a day late.

Questions? I have so many, but kinda holding off just to make sure everything is fine.

  • I’m so excited to see you ladies here and I hope we get more TTGP grads as the month goes on!!

How far along are you? 4 weeks today I think...that’s based more on when I think I O’d vs my last period. My cycles are (were?) 33-35 days. I think my due date will be around July 12.

How are you feeling? Totally fine! Bloated but that’s a frequent occurrence for me. Some crazy acne on my chin.

Any recent/upcoming appointments?  I go to my OB on November 15th for a physical and blood work. They said I won’t get an ultrasound until about 10 weeks, which would be mid-December.

Questions? So many questions. Can I still run? I had just started doing light interval running to get back into it after my broken wrist but now I’m afraid.  I think I’ll stick to walking with the dog until I can ask.
  • @quiltandknit from what I understand it should be safe to run if it was something you were doing before you got pregnant.  Just the other day I saw a visibly pregnant woman out jogging (I was tempted to pull over and give her a high five).

  • How's everyone doing this week? Starting to sink in for everyone? We told my family last night and that really helped it feel more real!

  • @MrsMiller8588 - We haven't told anyone yet, H still thinks it is too early.

On another note made it through weekend 1 with friends! Told them I stopped drinking to help aide with weight loss! Taking a urine sample to the doctor of Friday because I have it off for Veterans day as the want to confirm before scheduling an appointment, or I am hoping I can wait that long...lol

  • @ajsanders-2 We are only telling people that we would want support from if something were to happen. Everyone also knows we've been trying so I wouldn't be able to hide it well anyway :) nice short week for you!!

  • @MrsMiller8588 - that's a good idea. Maybe I can change H's mind and say lets tell family on Thanksgiving! Because we love Thanksgiving!

  • @mrsmiller8588 Aw yay I’m so glad you got to tell them!

Today is the first day I’m really feeling symptoms. Last week I had some mild cramps and bloating but that’s not unusual for me. I was beginning to feel like I wasn’t pregnant after all but today the nausea is hitting me. And my boobs are definitely sore!

I’m really trying to hold off telling anyone until Christmas. I don’t visit the OB for the first time until next week and won’t have an ultrasound where I can hear the heartbeat until mid-December. I’m being cautious, still so afraid something will happen.
  • @quiltandknit I totally feel you on being afraid something will happen! I don't know if I will have an US at my first appointment (Nov 30). My S is KU and said if I tell them Ive been having cramps insurance will cover an early US so I might go that route :)

After that my next appointment probably won't be until after Christmas where we could actually hear the hb. We won't be telling anyone besides family until we either hear or see the hb.

    Thanks for asking!  @MrsMiller8588
Feeling pretty good so far, this time in my last pregnancy was when the puking started so I am appreciating every day that's not happening.  So far we've told my dad, my in-laws and BIL, my sister, and a couple of really close friends.   It feels like a lot of people, but I suck at secrets  :#
