1. Guy who has no idea how to check into a hotel and it's my problem. And he's a jerk about it. I'm going to casually ask him if he does much business travel.
2. Guy who stands next to me and HUMS!
3. Same guy as #2 who has twice interrupted me when I was talking to a customer to step in and say exactly what I was saying.
4. Smarmy guys who say smarmy things to women at trade shows.

Me for not going to my daughter’s kindergarten fairytale parade today. I am leaving work early for Halloween stuff and didn’t want to take a lunch...well she cried when H told her I couldn’t come and I feel like a piece of shit mom who doesn’t put her kids first.

Also Spectrum for not fixing out internet yet with no ETA of it actually being done.

So my MIL specifically asked us to mail her back a “gift” she gave DS because she “needs it” for my nephew. So I’m extra annoyed because this is the same “gift” that I tried to return to her THREE times when I saw her and she said “no, no, I want your son to have it. I gave it to him.” And a gift that we never used because DS absolutely hates it. So it’s at my mom’s house and we got it mailed to her and my mom calls everyday to check the tracking to see if it’s delivered. It was delivered yesterday.
Me: Hey did you get the box?
MIL: oh. Am I supposed to open it?

it’s just the thing you asked us to mail back to you. And we told you we mailed. And is addressed to you. Do you frequently not open your own mail??

((Also, this is literally every single time I mail a package to her.))

@Mass-girl-at-heart I'm going to say your H is the TW in this case for telling you she cried! He should've just kept that piece of information to himself so you wouldn't feel guilty. You're not a bad mom!

@mdfarmchick sounds like something my MIL in law would do too! Major eyeroll.

@mdfarmchick I’m so frustrated for you.

TW to everyone at the grocery store today who just 1.) stands in the way DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THINGS and 2.) cuts you off but apparently has never heard of “excuse me”.

and also, if my one year old is waving and saying hi to you repeatedly, and you look at her but do NOTHING to acknowledge her, you’re a twatwaffle.

@ShawnnaO, yesssss!!!!!! Yesterday 2 employees were standing in front of the lettuce just chatting away. And they would not move. It's crowded enough in there. Please go take your conversation to a less populated area!!!

And I agree. I love when DS is being super cute in the store. And then people don't acknowledge his little hello's. It makes me so sad. Although he gets super embarrassed when strangers comment on his loud singing. He hasn't quite figured out yet that singing at the top of your lungs in the cart, people WILL hear you!

@justkeeptrying I always make an extra effort to talk to her when people ignore her. She’s not old enough to get embarrassed yet, but it does make me sad to think that somewhere in her little mind she’s upset when people don’t acknowledge her. I’m glad I’m not the only one! My overprotective mama bear was really coming out today

@mdfarmchick if my MIL didn’t live in the same city us I’m positive she would do the same thing . As it is my H has to drive her car through the car wash for her because she’s “afraid of not driving in right “
I’m rhe TW to myself today . I am getting some kind of upper respiratory thing so I didn’t go to work today , which means I didn’t wear my costume . I’m bummed but I am not feeling well . Hoping I have the energy to hand out candy tonight so I’m not a TW to all the children .

If I'm just lazily wandering around Target (favorite hobby) I love to smile/wave back at little kids if they are friendly like that. My H is a huge sucker for little kids and it's adorable. But if I'm on a mission to get in and out as soon as possible I will be that twatwaffle and ignore your kid. Because I am in a hurry. Like I will purposefully avoid eye contact with people (adults and children alike) and just not engage like that. And I don't feel bad about it. Unless your kid is related to me or we're friends I assume your kid will get over it and I don't think adults are required to drop what they're doing to entertain kids. (FFFC/UO)

TW today goes to the teacher who keeps coming to my room just because she's bored. Listen lady. I have 20 minutes of my lunch left and I want to spend it staring at junk online in peace and quiet before my room is again filled with chaos. I don't want to spend it listening to you talk about how you think the principal is out to get you. I'm too polite to tell this to your face so please interpret my single word responses and lack of eye contact and GTFO.

@antoto idk maybe it’s my UO but I’ve never been in such a hurry that I can’t at least smile back at someone, let alone a child. I’m all for avoiding eye contact when I’m in a bad mood but if I do see them smiling/waving, I’m at least going to smile back. Can you close your door during breaks so that teacher doesn’t come in? One of my teachers in HS had to do that to keep other teachers and students from constantly being in her room.

I am definitely a TW today. Our outdoor lights are on a timer. Both of us are out of town and it didn't occur to me until today that I didn't do anything to figure out some way of having them off tonight.

Sorry, kids! Luckily we don't get that much traffic but I still feel bad that they're going to walk all the way up our longer and steeper than average driveway for nothing. We're probably going to get egged.
