First Son - born 2013
Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV).  First open heart surgery at 5 days old.  He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing.

    Food you're craving/avoiding?
    Craving carbs and red meat, but needing to watch portion size or I start feeling sick.  Vegetables/salad don't sound good, but I'm making myself eat them.

    What's up in your world this week (appointments/symptoms/life)?
    Dealing with a feverish DS2.  Looks like we'll have to skip the fall/Halloween party at his preschool this evening.  :(  Eagerly awaiting my first appointment next Monday (Oct 30).

    Favorite - Reese's (but they're not tasting good right now!!)
    Least favorite - Necco Wafers.  Blech.

    STM! My little boy is 2.5

    Food you're craving/avoiding?
    I hate everything and everything hates me. As soon as I eat something I crave, I'm repulsed by it. I guess I've been leaning toward saltier foods than sweet lately.

    What's up in your world this week (appointments/symptoms/life)?
    Had a nurse history phone call this morning, which was my very first appt for this pregnancy. Threw up for the first time in either pregnancy last night. Generally tired, angry, and everything smells so bad.

    @basemodel, I gave most of my maternity clothes away after DS2 - including all my dress pants for work and my maternity winter coat.  I feel your pain.  :(

    What's your EDD? FTM/STM? June 9, FTM

    Food you're craving/avoiding?  Salty foods are most appealing, but I don't really have an appetite for anything.  I eat really tiny portions all day long to try to ease the nausea, so I never actually get hungry.  I had some grapes last night though that were soooo good!

    What's up in your world this week (appointments/symptoms/life)?      I had my ultrasound yesterday and got to see the heartbeat!  It was such a relief.  But then a couple hours later my test results came in and I have protein in my urine, so now I'm worried about that.  Overall though I'm just very happy to be able to confirm I'm pregnant right now with a healthy little shrimp.

    Questions? Anyone talk to their doctor about getting their hair dyed?  I totally forgot and I have an appointment on Monday.  I really don't want to have grey hairs for the next however many months.

    GTKY: What's your favorite & least favorite Halloween candy?  In my opinion nothing beats a reeses.  But I'm vegan now so chocolate is pretty much out of my diet.  So I guess my second choice would be airheads.

    @RatParade - I think someone was asking about hair dye in one of the questions threads recently.  I'm not sure how well the search button is working on The Bump these days, but if you can't find it, post it in the question thread and I'm sure you'll get some feedback.  I don't dye (although my grey hairs tell me I should), but I know there are several moms who do and I think there's conflicting information on whether or not you should during first tri.

         I totally agree with you about the food thing. Every time I crave something it repulses me halfway through eating. I swear everything taste different and more disgusting. Which is such a bummer because I’m a huge foodie and live for food.  Also I feel like my digestion slowing down makes me feel so sluggish in my intestinal area and mixed with the nausea, food aversion it’s so uncomfortable!

    Just feel like crap and am barely functioning but otherwise nothing.

    What's your EDD?     FTM/STM?   6/10, Third time mom. I have a 5 yo and 2 yo. Both boys.

    Food you're craving/avoiding? Kinda just not hungry at all. 

    What's up in your world this week (appointments/symptoms/life)?     I have my phone appointment tomorrow. (new thing they are doing to help first office appointments go smoother) and then I have my office appointment/ultrasound on Monday 10/30

    Questions? No questions. But I agree, I think we are the smallest week. Not many ladies are due in the second week. 

    GTKY: What's your favorite & least favorite Halloween candy? KITKATTTTTTS are the best. Candy corn is probably the worst.

    I have been wanting potatoes and BBQ like all the time. I am completely avoiding eggs. Just the thought of them makes me want to throw up :(

    What's up in your world this week (appointments/symptoms/life)?
    Morning sickness has been kicking my butt for the past few weeks and that mixed with fatigue is wearing me out. My DH has a birthday Friday and my mom has a birthday Tuesday plus I am taking my DS trick or treating for the first time. Its going to be a busy weekend!

    My favorite is Reeses and my least favorite is sour patch kids.

    Food you're craving/avoiding? Changes minute by minute. Meat hasn’t been my best friend lately. Mostly into carbs and lemonade and pickles. 

    What's up in your world this week (appointments/symptoms/life)?     Not much. Just waiting for my Ultrasound on Thursday. 

    Questions? Any STM+ doing anything different this time around as far as doing or not doing certain things during your pregnancy? 

    GTKY: What's your favorite & least favorite Halloween candy? Starburts or Reese’s as favorite and those nasty circus peanuts as the least favorite

    What's up in your world this week (appointments/symptoms/life)?
    Work has been so busy. Prepping for DD’s preschool Halloween fun fair for Saturday. I’ve been more nauseous than I was he first time around and have had a lot of gas pains.

    i was on KETO before getting pregnant and have tried to stick with it but everything repulses me.

    Anyone where’s this is their 3+ baby, when did you start to show second time around?

    GTKY: What's your favorite & least favorite Halloween candy?
    Reese’s, hands down! But really any chocolate - Caramilk, Mars, Tootsie rolls, mini caramels. Also like candy corn.

    @goldenlola ~ good question! I know for ST+M you show sooner. But I don’t know how much sooner. I’m starting to wonder if I will be able to hide it until almost 12 weeks when we announce (I didn’t show the first time until 16 weeks)

    nothing consistent, but hungry all the time, and nauseous everytime I start eating 
    What's up in your world this week (appointments/symptoms/life)?
    Had an ultrasound on Tuesday and it seemed that baby’s heart just started beating since it was slow. I’m very nervous with slow growth at this time. I have another ultrasound next Tuesday when I should be 8 weeks. I’m hoping so hard that this baby catches up.

    None really, no nausea but do have food aversions. Nothing sounds good.

    Food you're craving/avoiding? Craving - Kraft Mac 'n Cheese (no other brand will do). Avoiding most things! I have the same problem as some of the other ladies - as soon as I start eating something I've been craving, I don't want it. I can't look at a menu or watch a commercial with food in it without getting nauseous :(

    What's up in your world this week (appointments/symptoms/life)?     No appointments, just exhaustion and work

    Questions? Any other STMs have similar symptoms each pregnancy but have babies of a different sex? I feel like a lot of my symptoms are similar to my previous pregnancy and I had a boy...but we are hoping for a girl! 

    GTKY: What's your favorite & least favorite Halloween candy? Favorite? Pretty much anything EXCEPT candy corn. Candy corn is the WORST!

    @kellybean607 - my symptoms were similar with my first two, and they're both boys.  So far things feel the same again.  I was talkimg to my mom last night and she doesn't recall having different symptoms with my brother and me (no morning sickness with either of us).  A lot of my friends say their pregnancies were different with different sexes.  We should probably poll all the STMs to see what all the women here have experienced.

    Food you're craving/avoiding? Right now I'm avoiding everything. I'm making myself eat. So my nausea really ramped up over the weekend, especially yesterday. Not actually puking but feeling like crap (wanting to puke). Definitely going to try some of the vitamins & supplements suggested.

    What's up in your world this week (appointments/symptoms/life)?     For the first time since my BFP I will NOT be going to the doctor this week. I'm so grateful, next appointment is Nov 10. I'm "feeling pregnant" and haven't been spotting since Thursday. All my close family knows and I only 2 friends left to tell the news. I just want to enjoy this time finally.

    Questions? Is it bad that I'm hoping this outset of nausea and not wanting food results in weight loss? I gained 10 lbs over the last 15 months (since our wedding) and I'm dreading another 15 on top of that from pregnancy. I kept saying I'm going to lose weight but I've been so inconsistent.

    GTKY: What's your favorite & least favorite Halloween candy? I love all candy.

    Found out today I am measuring a full week behind my lmp date. Nothing bad so far as it is just my first ultrasound and they saw heartbeats but still making me worry
