33 weeks, guessing from my last growth scan and predicted weight, my dr thinks she’s already about 5 lbs. we’ll see in a few weeks.
How are you feeling?
Not as tired this week. Lots of pulling and stretching. Girl is growing
What's going on this week?
Baby shower tomorrow. Next appointment is a growth scan on 11/10.
Rants/Raves/Questions:
GTKY: What are you doing for Halloween taking dd around our neighborhood Tuesday night. We are going to Halloween in the park tomorrow night to trick or treat and have some fun! She’s at a fun age where she’s liking all the different activities, even though she doesn’t know why we’re doing them.
How far along are you? How big is baby? 34 weeks, butternut squash!
How are you feeling? I got a whole bunch of new symptoms in the last week! yay! the best one is the feeling that I've been horseback riding.....very sore in the groin area! also super achy at night, which has meant horrible sleep again. The nice thing is the finish line is within reach! woot!
What's going on this week? We have our family baby shower on Sunday and the start of weekly OB appointments on Tuesday
Rants/Raves/Questions: i was supposed to be "ramping down" at work (I do home visits) meaning I would stop seeing clients once I hit 34-35 weeks, however, my union went on strike and I had to reschedule a bunch of visits and am now going to be driving out to people's houses at 37-38 weeks. I could easily get a note saying I need to be on modified work, but these are clients I have been seeing for a year (the clients are babies/kiddos) and I'm torn because I want to see them one last time, but just don't see how it will be possible with how i'm feeling already
GTKY: What are you doing for Halloween this year? No plans! Normally we have a huge party and I decorate our house to the nines, but I have zero energy for any of that this year.

TTC #2 since July 2018 May 2019 IVF #2: BFP! (beta#1 346, beta#2 646) - vanishing twin at 8 weeks. Baby B still going strong - due 2/8/20!
How far along are you? How big is baby? 35 weeks. Pineapple.
How are you feeling? Okayish. My hips started to ache in the middle of this week, but he hasn't dropped yet. Sitting for any period of time is getting uncomfortable, which is interesting at work, but we're still getting >10K steps / day in via after-meal walks. My OB & CDE think I'm through the worst of the GD now, so I feel massively relieved about this. Definitely getting nervous about delivery and recovery, but I am so ready to meet our little guy.
What's going on this week? All the appointments all the time. 2x NST + diabetes clinic next week. The shower reno is done! The light-blocking blinds for the nursery go in on Wed. The new carpet goes in next Friday. Then I am done with outside contractors in the house -- unless I get my wish for a housekeeping service to come deep clean before the baby arrives. I'm in a calm phase of my calm/panic oscillations, so I'm trying to get a bunch of stuff done this weekend without triggering another "so much to do so little time" panic session.
Rants/Raves/Questions: DH is really starting to step up with helping with stuff. He's been pretty awesome lately. Even if he dozed off during my NST -- because, he says, listening to LO's heartbeat made him so happy and relaxed. We usually celebrate our anniversary by going out to a really nice dinner, but that doesn't work for us this year because of the GD so I'm trying to think of a compromise that will work well at 36-37 wks pregnant. I want to do something nice for him (us) but I also feel like we have so much going on right now. =\ I think we'll probably go to our favorite Greek place -- which we haven't done since I got diagnosed -- instead of a fancy pants restaurant. I can assemble an appropriate meal there, and he can indulge in some carb-filled favorites.
GTKY: What are you doing for Halloween this year? Hanging out at home, watching silly movies and handing out candy. I have 2 Dr. appointments in the morning, and then I'm planning on scooting out of work early so I can get back to the neighborhood before chaos descends (and there's no street parking left). So I may not really do anything useful at work that day. Oh well. If I'm feeling up to it, we're going to a public ritual on Sunday night to celebrate with some pagan friends. If not, I'll do some minor ritual at home.
How are you feeling? Pretty good, except for when I walk long periods I get pretty winded and my belly starts to ache. Might have to pull the belly band out soon.
What's going on this week? Had an OB appt on Tuesday. Everything is good. Baby is head down and c-section is scheduled for Dec 8 if we make it that far.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I need to stop and buy another bottle of Zantac 150. Seriously if this baby isn't hairy, I would be real surprised. I have the worse heartburn every afternoon.
GTKY: What are you doing for Halloween this year? My boys are only 16 months and don't quite grasp halloween yet, but I'm dressing them up as two little skunks and we'll just stop by the grandparents houses.
Nausea and vomiting have started back up the past few days. I remember it returning with DS1 too but closer to the end and I had a much longer break in between. I'm praying it's just a fluke. 41 more days - whenever I'm feeling super sick I just remind myself, not too much longer and then I get to hold my little monster making this all worth it.
What's going on this week?
We are taking DS1 to a trick or treating event tomorrow and Sunday a Halloween party if rain holds out. And then next week, I have a 4 day work week and it's my last week commuting into work! I'll be working from home until delivery so I'm excited about that. I was worried for awhile about leaving my staff but now I could do a little dance like a kid in a candy store lol Pregnancy related - I have a regular OB check up on Wednesday.
Rants/Raves/Questions:
I can't believe November is less than a week away ladies!!
GTKY: What are you doing for Halloween this year? DS1 has a parade at school in the morning so we will go watch him in that and then take him trick or treating around our new neighborhood Tuesday evening.
@kyrwyn yay for being done with contractors!! We still have three weeks before our bathroom is done and I can’t put the nursery back together until they’re finished (access to our crawl space is in the nursery), so I definitely feel you on the “no time left!” Panic. I’m slowly convincing myself that the baby will come before the bathroom is done, just so I don’t freak out if that happens.

@PoeMasque Haha. I did the same thing, re: which comes first reno finish or baby? But I will tell you that first shower/bath in the newly finished bathroom is magical. I hope you get yours done before your baby comes so you can indulge a little in the last weeks.
I wish we were done with contractors. The walls on our house are set to go up the week the baby arrives. Ahhh. At least I’ll be out on maternity leave through the majority of the building process!
Haha I love it, there’s nothing like a new baby to give everyone reno-fever! Two of our friends did complete kitchen renovations before their kiddos arrived too. Maybe it’s a sub conscious way of testing relationships before baby arrives
