TMI Warning: Well we started our morning trying to get DH off so he would be ready for the SA on Monday morning. I ended up cramping real bad so he went off to the spare room to do his thing (after making sure I was ok). It's been a weird morning. But high fives to H for doing what needed to be done, haha.

I'm hoping the rest of our day will be a bit more normal. Pumpkin bread muffins, binge watching tv, cleaning, and going for a long walk with the pup.

AFM, MH has a lot of work to do this weekend, but I don't really. I think I'm going to try to get a lot of cooking done today and tomorrow. There's a soup recipe my mom shared that I want to try, and I might make a hash with sweet potatoes and tempeh (it's a fermented soybean patty thing, for those who aren't familiar).

@SkilledSailor It's a mung bean soup, and it's basically just the beans and a ton of spices. It's chilly here this weekend, so spicy sounds good.

@darkstar42 Mm I love bean soups. We just started Stranger Things. I was hoping we’d still be productive but 10 minutes in and I can see us glued to the couch all day.

@SkilledSailor We watched the first episode of Stranger Things 2 last night. I was hoping to watch it late into the night but we got too tired and had to go to bed.

@dukestar5 I am in the same boat. I’ve walked the dog so may go and get my errands run shortly.

So my sister that lives in Florida is trying to come up with a plan to get everyone together for Christmas. Which is great because we haven’t done that for a few years now. But now Florida isn’t exciting enough and now they are wanting to go to Turks and Caicos instead. Umm....hello zika! I don’t even know what to do. She knows that we are trying but the concern doesn’t really seem to register with her at all.

@nitnat007 That's so tough! We had planned last year to go on a cruise to the Caribbean with my parents, sister, and her family, this October, but then when we decided to TTC we had to cancel it. And because of that, I had to tell my whole family that we wanted to TTC, which I really didn't want to do! Maybe you can look around to find some other fun trips outside of the Caribbean and suggest some alternatives. Or perhaps you can direct her to the CDC zika website so she can better understand the concern with you going there while TTC. Hopefully you guys don't have to skip out on a fun vacation because of zika!

@offtoneverland We just did the same thing, changing a cruise due to Zika. The cruise was supposed to be our baby moon before we start TFAS. We were able to convince the friends we are going with that we should stretch and go to the Med instead.

What about going somewhere more city/cultural like New Orleans? Or, it’s a stretch, California.

@offtoneverland @SkilledSailor @meggyme My sister and her family will be sailing. So they are trying to make it convenient for them. My parents will be flying up from Costa Rica. My sister is the only one that knows we are TTC. Ugh, wish MH were around so I could talk it through with him, but he is on very limited communication right now. My sisters response was, “Well we will just have to take our insurance on the tickets in case we have to cancel”. Well yes, if we are that lucky. But we still have to put everything on hold for six months after that too! Ugh...let’s just say my sister is difficult to deal with and generally gets her way with everything.

@nitnat007 Is it possible she doesn't understand that you need to wait 6 months to safely TTC after exposure? It sounds like maybe she only recognizes the danger of exposure during pregnancy.

@MrsMiller8588 I did tell her that, but she still doesn’t get it. I realize MH is being deployed in January and he will be away most of those six months. But there are still a couple cycles that we would like to try if we can. Not sure if that’s her thinking, he’s going away anyway so what’s the issue...?

@darkstar42 I am also hoping to get SO MUCH baking done this weekend but I don't have any eggs and I need them! I need to go out and get them but I am being too lazy. I'd have to put on real pants, lol.

AFM...we'll watch some TV tonight. I'm making tacos for MH because he loves them but the rest of the house does not...he is super boring with tacos...just gr. beef and cheese. To him, nothing else is a taco. Also, chicken processing went so well today! We got 18 birds done in 2.5 hours. The plucker we rented was worth every penny. Then I ate pizza. Nom.

@nitnat007 Good for you for putting your foot down! I really hope they’re considerate, though, and meet somewhere else. There are still other places they could sail to.

@smashjam Haha it was a bit ridiculous. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted H to watch porn so badly. I’m making tacos tonight too! Only mine are a bit different.

DH and I took a day trip up to Sleepy Hollow and visited Washington Irving's estate. We just had dinner at a lovely French restaurant, and are gonna swing by his parents' house on our way back to the city. All in all, a much needed date day.
