@ryannenikole I usually just buy it online for kids stuff. Like little kids stuff. I’m sure there are great deals for toys but for like car seats and strollers, I just ordered online and got it cheap.
We’re actually hosting Christmas this year....my parents just sold their house and will be in a shoebox that does not have room for my grandparents and my uncle/aunt/cousin....so I basically need to be ready for baby by the time they all get into town. Its likely one of the last major holidays my grandpa will be here for so I’d rather have everyone here than not come. (Grandparents are in IA, Uncle and fam are in WI so I’m not traveling to them a week before my due date lol). I’m half hoping I go into labor while they’re all here so they can meet him...but then I remember that they’re all staying at my house and I take it back.
I got another one. DH and I each take one morning on the weekend to get up with DS so that one of us gets to sleep in. I usually sleep in till 8, DH usually sleeps till 10. Well Sunday morning was his morning but he had gotten trashed the night before and was up playing video games all night so he didn’t hear DS get up. I did. Anyway. I’m horrible because it was at 7:45 and I got up and made DH feel bad all week for it. I would have been up at 8 even if he had gotten up with him. But he doesn’t need to know that it was the one morning where DS didn’t wake up at 5:30. Haha.
@baindidhedub, my il's we're vegetarian for a while and still laugh about the terrible tofurkey they had one year!
We're still mostly vegetarian but not super strict. But I'm glad I don't have to cook meat, yuck. I'd love to do Thanksgiving with some fall soups in bread bowls and pumpkin bowls, but neither mom would go for that. So that means they get to keep hosting and making the food they want.
Online shopping has saved Christmas shopping for me - I actually enjoy it now.
