Re: Wednesday Ticker Change - 10/11
31 weeks! Ummmm apparently either asparagus according to TB app, or a FIVE KILO TUB OF NUTELLA according to my ticker... WTF?
Girl, remains nameless
3) How are you feeling?
tired. just tired. as per usual. I have been sleeping okay and for a reasonable amount of time thanks to DS... but just growing a human is hard guys! I'm also waking up with lovely SPD pain - it feels like someone punched me in the pubic bone every morning. It goes away through the day, but still irritating. BUT I haven't snissed or cough-peed in a couple weeks so the PFPT is working!
Saw the midwife last week. Baby was head down! measuring exactly 30 weeks then, we discussed a doula and I decided against it. Basically because last time, if my water hadn't broke I probably wouldn't have considered myself 'in labor' until like 6 1/2 hours before DS was born, and chances are this time will go faster, so it might be a waste because they are upwards of $1000.
DH *might* be at the end of his working 24/7 stretch, so it will be nice to have some more consistency in our house again. We need to plan a date night before this babe comes!
6) GTKY: Favorite and least favorite household chores?
Love cooking! Though it's not as fun with a toddler hanging off my leg. HATE cleaning the bathrooms, but DH honestly does not see the dirt so i am the only one who does it... Ugh. I don't think he's cleaned a toilet once since we moved in together 12+ years ago! If I were smart I wouldn't have agreed to buy a new house last year with FOUR bathrooms... but here we are. Luckily the basement bathroom rarely gets used so also rarely has to be cleaned.
Girl! No name
3) How are you feeling?
Rant- insomnia. Why was I up from 1 am-4am? Every night. So annoying- but trying to still appreciate the sleep I do get before LO arrives.
6) GTKY: Favorite and least favorite household chores?
Fav- laundry
least- dishes. We have a huge pile right now I keep putting off... like it’s gonna disappear and not grow lol
3) How are you feeling? All things considered, pretty good.
6) GTKY: Favorite and least favorite household chores? Is there such a thing as a favorite household chore? I guess I'll go with the bathrooms, only because it goes pretty quick. I'm sure this will change when my son starts standing to pee and I have to get into that mess on the regular. Least favorite is anything that stirs up dust, I'm super allergic and so cleaning out closets, general dusting and sometimes even vacuuming can put my body into allergy attack mode. The only way to potentially mitigate it is to wear a super thick dust mask and then my face gets all sweaty underneath and it's just annoying.
@oncape100615 Anthony Bourdain says that if a restaurant has a nasty bathroom, it probably has a nasty kitchen. His logic is that bathrooms are super quick and easy to clean, but kitchens are tough. Just popped into my head since you said bathrooms are usually quick, they are!
3) How are you feeling? Pretty good for the most part. The not good is the frequent peeing during the night, the puffy feet and ankles, and moving a lot slower than normal.
6) GTKY: Favorite and least favorite household chores? I love cooking and doing stuff in the kitchen, and also don't mind doing laundry since it feels so good once you're all done. I hate dusting, but DH doesn't mind it so he usually does this.

@oncape100615 I got nightly calf cramps too until I read somewhere about flexing your toes/feet instead of pointing them. Now if I flex when I start to feel one coming on it disappears. It might help.
32 Weeks, a large jicama. One site said jansport backpack. That's impossible.
Boy, Thatcher, but we're not telling family/friends
3) How are you feeling?
Finally over my two days of non-pregnancy related migraine. And I either only get braxton hicks at night, or I only notice them when I'm trying to go to bed.
Nope, nada.
I think this 80's song verse "every breath you take, every move you make, every step you take" was secretly written about a preggo who has to pee. And it gets stuck in my head every time. I would put it in the rant category, unless the Police are your thing.
6) GTKY: Favorite and least favorite household chores?
Favorite: vacuuming. This is a total cheat, since we have one of those robot vacuums that does all the work.
Least: I don't mind putting the dishes in the dishwasher, but I'm one of those very strange people who doesn't want any dishes in the sink, because then they get wet and it makes me feel icky to touch them. If they're wet, I leave them there until DH puts them in the dishwasher.
@babybison - I also read/saw the flexing tip. It definitely helps stop the cramp, once it happens, but I woudln't be upset if they just stopped happening either! My calves have been sore all week like I did something weird calf-focused workout.

32 weeks. I don't know how big. Huge. Just huge.
Boy, Jack but we've been telling family all sorts of crazy names because we like to amuse ourselves.
3) How are you feeling?
Tired but good. I'm sick of only being able to do 20 minutes of anything and then needing to rest but it's doable. I have Braxton Hicks a lot which I'm not loving but it also lets me know things are going ok.
I went in today. Everything looked good so I was almost out the door before I was in it...
A lot of the cleaning left to do is lifting things. I need my husband to get the nesting bug too so I can get some help. Is there a pill I can slip him? Just kidding! (mostly...)
6) GTKY: Favorite and least favorite household chores?
I like to organize and purge. Both feel very freeing to me. I hate to scrub, especially the toilet. But I also hate a dirty toilet so what can you do???
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 30 weeks!
3) How are you feeling? I feel great! No complaints here.
6) GTKY: Favorite and least favorite household chores? I do not have a favorite chore lol I dread them all. DH does laundry, but I put mine away which, to me, is the worst part of laundry. I am pretty much the sole vacuumer, which I don't really mind so I suppose that's my favorite. I don't really mind picking up dog poop either. Least favorite chore is probably cleaning the kitchen - counters to dishes to the fridge - I hate that you clean it and it immediately needs your attention again.

Felix Robin William (robin after DH dad and William after my grandpa). We're not telling family but I'm pretty sure I've told all my friends. Oops.
3) How are you feeling?
my lt side low back/hip is killing me, likely my worst symptom.
I also have calf cramps, I've been wearing compression stockings at night and I think they're helping.. I try to wiggle my toes but my foot gets so cramped in a plantar extension that I just can't get any movement.
Sometimes I get hamstring cramps.
I also have insomnia.. I find a bowl of cereal puts me back to sleep
i feel like I grew 3" around my waist over the weekend
im tired and slow.. after today I won't be teaching a full day anymore. I just don't have the energy in me anymore.
I'm super emotional and crying this week.
Oh it's been a riot.
i have an OB, massage and PFPT appointment on Monday.
what are ppl's thoughts on maternity photos? I like the thought of them.. but to try to organize a photographer, find an outfit.. I'm over it.
What's a good hostess gift for those hosting my baby showers?
Im really hoping my SIL and her boyfriend can come by and help me finish my murals in the baby room. They're professional artists, but getting a time nailed down has been a chore.
6) GTKY: Favorite and least favorite household chores?
favourite I guess is meal planning and prepping. I don't mind grocery shopping.
I used to love cleaning when I could have the house to myself and get in the zone, but we have housecleaners that come once a month and it's sooo helpful. I dread the dishes, but when I go to load and unload the dish washer it takes like 10 minutes and feels like so much is accomplished.
I hate laundry, moreso the folding and putting away.
All the maternity photo dresses I see (let's be honest is just at pinkblush) have the bump so exposed I don't think I'd be comfortable. Maybe your SIL/boyfriend can take pictures? At least that way you have some but it's not a big to-do.
3) How are you feeling? Pretty good. Not really sleeping that well because I can’t get very comfortable but overall pretty good
6) GTKY: Favorite and least favorite household chores? Favorite is vacuuming, least favorite is cleaning the bathrooms.

3) How are you feeling? not great. I'm having worse hip/pelvic pain more often, DD gave me a cold, and when I don't have hip/pelvic pain I seem to have vulva pain--it feels swollen and ouchy
6) GTKY: Favorite and least favorite household chores? I like to cook, but it's harder with a toddler around. I don't mind loading the dishwasher or doing laundry, but I don't like unloading the dishwasher and putting laundry away is a pain. I never minded vacuuming, but our house is a lot cleaner since we got a robot vacuum! DH also decided to spend his last bonus on having a cleaner come 2 x's a month--she does a great job and we are so much less stressed with the house getting a good scrub every 2 weeks. It's so worth it.

@dilbert890 I did a couple of maternity pics last time, but only because one of my best friends is a photographer and came to visit before LO arrived--she just took a few shots of me and me & DH in our neighborhood by a pretty crepe myrtle. It only took a few minutes. I do love having those photos, but I don't think I would schedule a big session or buy a fancy gown for a shoot. If you've got a friend who can snap a few for you, it is nice to have a good pic of you (and you and your partner) before baby arrives. This time, we're not doing one, but I am going to have DH snap a few pics of me with DD before we go to the hospital. My friend is coming up a few days after baby is born to do a little newborn shoot for us instead--what a great Christmas gift! She was going to come shoot the birth, but our hospital will only let you have one person in the OR (which will be DH). If it was anyone else, I probably wouldn't consider birth photography either, particularly if I was having a vaginal delivery. I'm just too private. She was my neighbor growing up, though, so I have known her basically my entire life and is more like family than a friend. I still think the newborn shoot is better, though. This way, hopefully baby and I will be a little less swollen/puffy and ready for our closeup!

The hospitals in my area are the same, only one person is allowed in the OR. My friend's husband wanted to do video I think, maybe it was photos of the c-section but they wouldn't let him.. Another friend's husband hunts so it's easily grossed out by the blood and stuff and they wouldn't let him watch the c-section.. they seem to be private about these things.
On an unrelated note, has anyone else found their decision making ability to be compromised since becoming pregnant? I've never had such a hard time in my life making decisions.. ugh.. it's driving me mad!!
