Anyone starting September FET?

Re: Anyone starting September FET?

  • Hopefully your trip to Vegas is going well. :) The nausea over here is unreal. It is more like all day sickness, screw the morning sickness.
We had our first U/S today. I teared up a bit. The little peanut boy is measuring great and the heartbeat was 137. So crazy and exciting!
    Hope everyone is doing well.
TTC 4 years. 7 failed IUI's with either Clomid, Femara and/or Trigger Shots. Started IVF journey in February 2017. Polyps removed in May. 1st IVF Transfer September 26th. BFP. Expected due date 6/14/18. Baby boy born 5/25/18 at 6 lb 9 oz. My bundle of joy.
  • @Holls - that is great news.  what a very special moment for you!

Had my first U/S today too.  I believe we have the same due date @Holls.  But my doc could only see the gestational sac and yolk sac.  Could not see the beginnings of a baby.  Could not see a heartbeat.  Doc said not to worry...  I know I'm not supposed to worry...

    I'm worried....and bummed....

@ALM30324 did you do a vaginal or stomach U/S? Please don’t worry... I can tell you that my embryo like instantly implanted so maybe that’s the difference? Thinking about you.

  • @ALM30324 @Holls214 yay for good US!! How far long are u guys today?? When is the next US??  Usually the heartbeat is on US #2 unless ur a Lil farther along which I think I was at mine too.

and yes I don't know why on earth they call is morning sickness when it's ALL DAY sickness! I try to catch up on here and after I read a post i feel
Sicker! Oddly chewing mint gum has helped me at times.  It's 3am and I'll be so sick not knowing what else to do and the gum actually helped me.

i do get nervous  with any zing or pains I get but since I still feel so sick I guess my pnut is ok.  Excited to make sure on Friday!!

Its interesting the last leg of us in sept are all suffering, must me part of the tall girl club  :D

  • @Hopeful_mom about 7 weeks. We got to see the heartbeat not hear it yet. Our next US is on 11/22. That one is like an hour long I guess. Long ways way.
Glad you are doing well minus all the sickness. Did you doctor prescribe you anything or are you trucking through? I have debated on asking him. Not that o want to take meds but this is just torture all the time. Yes must be the tall crew. :) haha

  • Yay for all the ultrasounds! Mine is today, and I'm super excited, and super nervous at the same time. We should see the baby and the heartbeat. I keep thinking - what if they look and nobody is there? I'd be so heart-broken. Then I try to calm myself and do the self-talk about how freaking out about something imaginary isn't healthy.
I still feel nauseous every day, and that's a little peace of mind. I also get so super exhausted by evening - not the usual long day tired, but just totally exhausted and discombobulated.
Food is weird lately. I'd feel sick, and then suddenly very hungry, and I stuff myself as fast as I can before the nausea comes back. I lost 5 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight, although it started to slowly creep back up again in the last few days.

  • Hello Ladies!

@Holls214 Yay for a good first ultrasound. Sucks you have to wait till 11/22 for the next one but by then I'm sure your little guy will look like a real baby by then.

@ALM30324 I believe we have the same due date. You are still early and like Holls214 said depending on when implantation occurred it might be hard to see your little bean.

    @FuzzyDust Good luck today!

AFM-I have my 2nd ultrasound tonight. Today I think morning sickness is actually kicking in. It started when I was stuck in a 2 hour meeting and was hungry and thirsty and my hunger went right to nausea and has stayed the rest of the day. Also feel pretty tired and just want to nap today. I can tell I am becoming more easily irritated these days which I'm sure my husband is enjoying...not. Haha!

@HottLemonade2886 yeah the next ultrasound is like an hour long and they do everything in that one I guess. Exciting to have another ultrasound tonight. Morning sickness has been horrible. Hopefully yours won't be too bad. I just went out for lunch with one of my employees and came home only to throw it all up... Hopefully you are able to nap today.

  • Hi ladies! So good to hear from all of you. Glad everything is moving along for everyone. It looks like we are all tag in the same boat: nausea, exhaustion, irritable, etc lol

@FuzzyDust I feel exactly the same I get so hungry, then I eat & bomb nausea kicks in shortly after. I get pretty full easily & certain foods make me sick!!

  • Back from my u/s!!! All looks grate, except that I suspect that my clinic's u/s machine is ancient - it looks way fuzzier than what I see from most people. But we did see a heartbeat (counted about 150 - yay!), and the size seems to be consistent with me being 7w5d today. I'm so happy and relieved, and instantly picking up the next thing to worry about (getting to the end of the first trimester?).
My clinic is now releasing me to the wild world, so I need to find an OB. I assume I'll have to find a hospital I want to use for giving birth, and then find an OB that's affiliated with them? My reproductive clinic gave me a referral inside their network, but it's rather far from my new home, so I'm considering going outside my original network just to be a bit closer. This is exciting!

  • @FuzzyDust Yay for a good ultrasound. My clinic wanted to know my OB at my first ultrasound and I didn't know yet. Haha! I wanted to go to a Birthing Center but found out the closest one is over an hour away so really not practical for visits. Plus if I have any complications I would need to switch to an OB anyway. I pretty much did what you said. I found out which hospital in my area had the best maternity and then found a doctor that is associated with it. My OB has 4 midwives so that gives me hope I might still get to deliver with a midwife. Turns out the OB I picked is affiliated with my RE office so they will have assess to all my records which is great.

AFM - Had my 2nd ultrasound last night. Heartbeat was at 123bpm and we got to listen to it. My little girl is breaking all the gender myths. I'm craving salty foods, her early heartbeat is below 150 and she is positioned on the bottom left of the sac (Ramzi Theory). We go back next Wednesday for our last ultrasound and if all looks good we will move onto our OB.

  • Hopeful_mom, I don't have a discharge, but my RE told me yesterday that if I do get it at any point - that's normal. As long as it's not gashing red blood, it's ok. Vagina walls are all sensitive right now, and it's way more blood-reach too. I think that if your vag is still uncomfortable, it's probably the discharge from that. Hope you get to be seen soon to figure this out!

@HottLemonade2886, Congrats on the strong heartbeat at the u/s!

I pulled the plug, picked a birthing hospital, and called to sign up for an OB/GYN. They immediately signed me up for a class (to go over what to expect during the pregnancy and then birth), a 10weeks check up with a nurse, and 13 weeks appointment with a doctor! "Shit just got real!"  Somehow being released by my fertility clinic makes me quite anxious and lost - they knew me, my husband, my health history, I've been there for years, and was comfortable with the doctors and the nurses - we had a pretty personal relationship with most of the stuff. Now I'm joining a totally new group of provides that know nothing about me and me about them

@Hopeful_mom yes I have heard that is normal, but I am sure scary. I always look when I wipe now. Most of everything is from the progesterone suppositories. I literally still don't get why they make those suckers pink, like wtf?!

  • @Fuzzy – congrats on the awesome U/S and heartbeat!  Glad to hear you found a new hospital/doctor.  Hope that you love them, but completely understand how you’d feel anxious about it.

@Hopeful – I hope they’ve told you the brown spotting is nothing to worry about.  I actually had bright red bleeding in a prior pregnancy, for about 30 minutes, and I was convinced I was losing the baby.  By the time I got to the doctor’s office, it had stopped and everything turned out fine.  Baby is perfectly health.  There was never any explanation for what happened and I was told it was pretty normal, regardless of color (which is different than what I feel like everyone tells you, but oh well).  Love your mint gum trick.  Whatever works!  I used to get up and eat at 3AM because that was the one time of day that I wasn’t throwing up.  So I’d get up and eat a bowl of cereal at 3AM and go back to bed.  Sure enough, I’d wake up nauseous a few hours later and hardly be able to eat the rest of the day.  I think I lived off Cheerios for months.  Hasn’t gotten that bad for me yet this time.

@Hott – great U/S.  So glad you got to see your little one and hear her heartbeat!

AFM – Made it back from my work conference in Vegas.  Long flight.  Late nights.  I’m just glad it’s over.  Appreciate all the kind words from my last post.  I have the same due date as @Hott, and am seven weeks today.  I remember I freaked out last time when I couldn’t see a baby or heartbeat at the first ultrasound, and everything still turned out fine.  BUT, last time I got my first U/S early (around 5wks) and I thought that by waiting this time (6w2d) I’d get a glimpse of the baby even if we didn’t see the heartbeat.  I have my next U/S at 7w4d (Thursday) so hopefully we’ll see something then.  My nausea also went away for a while last week and that didn’t help alleviate my anxiety.  I’m nauseous again today though, so who knows.  I’m trying to think positive thoughts.

  • @ALM30324, I also freak out each time I think that I feel better. It’s so frustrating when both nausea and its absence feel so bad. Good luck with the next u/s!

@Hopeful_mom, so,did your re schedule one more u/s before releasing you, or the last one was it?

I scheduled my next u/s exactly at 10 weeks. It’s the time I’m supposed to stop taking estrogen and PIO. I’ll run out of estrogen pills 2 days before then, but I want them to confirm the placenta is the size it needs to be before stopping PIO. I’m 8w3d today, and I’m counting days to be done with the shots. Two days ago there was a lot of blood coming out from the needle hole afterwards, and it made me all nervous about the injection again. But I’m also scared of stopping.

I live in a constant state of fear and nausea. So looking forward to the second trimester...

  • @FuzzyDust I live in a state of fear as well and today didn't help.

i know spotting is normal but it helps if u know where and why it's happening.  Nausea is still awful was up all night from it but never actually  vomiting. I know for some of you this is the second time around and my hats off to you getting through this and taking care of your child God bless.

    Quick update:

    Pregnancy and scare mentioned
    Spoiler
I had way more spotting then I cared  to see today and emailed my doctor right away!  he was kind enough to squeeze me in today which I was so thankful for! Baby thank g-d is doing great and measuring a day ahead! He did see some blood outside and called it a placenta clot if u will.  I'm glad to at least know where the blood is coming from and it's still in there so I shall still have some spotting.  Scary nonetheless but still relieved at least to know where it's coming from. He explained that the placenta is doing its job correctly and sometimes there's extra blood that comes out when the placenta is doing its thing and blood can develop but usually gets absorbed into the body but this time it's just making a clot I guess outside and that's where it's coming from.

I did have a bit of a meltdown and he was very sweet!  He knows it's getting closer to the time I MC last time and that we need to take precautions which I appreciate!!

  • I am a mess. Ultrasound today (7wks4days) did not go well. Gestational sac has grown but still no sight of baby, much less a heartbeat. Doc said We could give it one more week but prepared me for miscarriage. He didn't sound hopeful. My head is spinning. I don't want to give up, but I feel such a sense of doom and loss. And then I'm mad because Im not a quitter and don't give up on anything. This is hard.
  • @Hopeful_mom, I'm glad you got some piece of mind about the spotting. Your doctor sounds awesome for being able to accommodate you!

@ALM30324, I'm so sorry to see your news. I'm still keeping the hope alive for you <3 I saw this in one article online "it isn’t uncommon to be unable to detect a heartbeat via ultrasound until closer to 7 or 8 weeks.", so fingers crossed you baby is just a slow starter.

  • @ALM30324 Oh no! Your little guy is such a fighter. Hopefully he just needs a little time. We are all rooting for him!

AFM - I got released from my IVF clinic this week. Last ultrasound went great. Baby girl is measuring a day ahead and heartbeat is up to 161bpm. The doctor said they saw a little movement but of course it was when I couldn't see the screen so I missed it. Next appointment is with the OB on Nov. 16th. We will be telling our parents this weekend. Since everyone has been involved in our IVF process until we got to transfer they are all expecting news sometime soon so its hard to surprise them really. My boss keeps asking me too and I'm trying to keep it under wraps at least a little longer if I can.

  • @HottLemonade2886, Congrats on graduating from the RE clinic! Telling the family sounds very exciting!

I'm 1 week away from the date I should be stopping Estrogen and PIO (I'm 9 weeks today, RE said I should stop at 10 weeks), and I'm freaking out a little bit. What is everyone else doing with the hormones stop date? I have an U/S at 10 weeks with a nurse at my new OB clinic, and I'll try to convince her to do a blood test to ensure my levels are high enough to indicate that the placenta did indeed take over.

  • I had a second opinion today with the Perinatologist I used in prior pregnancies. The ultrasounds really left no room for hope. Our little boy is gone. The question now is whether I wait to see if my body miscarries on its own or if I need to take meds to induce before I need a D&C. Either way, it will probably take weeks (up to a month) before I'm officially not "pregnant" anymore, which scares me to-death. We are grieving heavily. I'll go back to the doc on Wednesday for a final ultrasound and to make the decision on what to do. This will be my last post though. It was a true pleasure getting to chat with you ladies up to this point and I wish you all the absolute best throughout your pregnancies. I am not okay, but I will get through this. Thanks for all the good "talks". I will miss y'all.
  • @ALM30324 I am so incredibly sad for you... Take some time for you and time to grieve. This process is so hard. Thinking of you.
