PSA-Listeria Risk in Packaged Veggies

I saw this on the May 2018 BMB and posted it in the randoms thread but want to make sure everyone see's it. There is a recall of packaged veggies in several stores.

  • Thanks for the heads up!
  • I've been following this. I haven't had raw veggies (or deli meat) since my BFP. Its weird for me, because typically for lunch I bring a prepackaged salad.

  • Thank you for the heads up!!  See this is why I have a hard time rationalizing why I should be avoiding deli meat.  Listeria seems to pop up in random places and it rarely seems to be deli meat.
  • @buffalove1211 I literally said this to the OB nurse yesterday because I've wanted not heated lunch meat since I found out I've been pregnant. I told her I've heard of more cases of Listeria in cantaloupe, spinach, frozen veggies than lunch meat in the last few years! Such a shame!
