Ok, so I guess I'll bite the bullet and get these started. I'm not motivated enough to figure out if the week numbers are correct, so someone tell me if I'm on the wrong ones. Also, I'm totally just flying by the seat of my pants on questions, so tell me if you like them/don't like them, want different ones, etc.
This is a weekly check in for people who are 8 weeks along this week.

The bump says baby is the size of a raspberry! Do you have other "sizes" for baby other than the bump fruits? Share here.
I've seen a gummy bear and a jelly bean.
What symptoms are you having?
Still really, REALLY tired. Last week I had a couple episodes of throwing up, but continue to mostly be nauseous.
Rants/Raves:
Rants: DH sent me a text from work yesterday that said, "The house is a mess!" Now, I understand that 1)Yes the house is a mess, and 2)I need to get off my butt and clean; however, it irritated me because he is constantly spilling stuff on the counter (coffee grinds and/or coffee) and not cleaning it. Also, he rarely takes the trash out but will complain about how bad it is. Ordinarily, I don't care about taking care of things, but I'm tired, not feeling well, and TRYING TO MAKE A FREAKING BABY!
Raves: We took DS to a local family farm this weekend. It was super cute. They had pumpkins, hayrides, and farm animals. DS had a lot of fun and hung out with some of his little 2 yo friends. It's been so fun seeing him grow and make friends. He was playing tag with some of his friends and they were just laughing and having so much fun!
Any questions this week?
Nah, I'm good this week.
GTKY: If your TV would only play TV shows, movies, etc. associated with one actor/producer/director/etc. 24/7 for the rest of forever, who would you pick?
This is a tough one! I'm not sure... I might have to come back to this!
Rants/Raves: My due date changed based on my ultrasound so now I am May 30th. I am seriously considering switching to the June board because come May 1st (or really late April) when people start posting their baby arrival announcements I will become an emotional wreck.
Any questions this week? No questions
GTKY: If your TV would only play TV shows, movies, etc. associated with one actor/producer/director/etc. 24/7 for the rest of forever, who would you pick?
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler- I know that is technically two but they are a dynamic duo
- nausea, exhaustion, hormonal rage blackouts...
Rants/Raves:
- Rant: basically everything (see above re: rage)
- Rave: first appt is almost here! One more day!
Any questions this week?
- nope
GTKY: If your TV would only play TV shows, movies, etc. associated with one actor/producer/director/etc. 24/7 for the rest of forever, who would you pick?
- Dick Wolf
I'm going with an EDD of May 30th which would put me at 8 weeks on Wednesday. So my Ovia app still shows me 7 week sizes which are a raspberry, berlingot candy (dunno what that is), playing die, and a Brookesia micra chameleon. I love Ovia especially for all the fun size themes you can pick.
My EDD may change after my first appointment next week but either way I know I'll be at the end of the month with you ladies!
What symptoms are you having?
Pretty much nauseous all day especially if I haven't eaten in a while. I didn't vomit yesterday or today yet!!
Rants/Raves:
I decided over the weekend that I need to start supplementing my almost 10month old's diet with formula. We've had great success breastfeeding so far but my milk supply has noticeably dropped the last two weeks and I just don't want to worry about whether she's getting enough. Plus the freezer supply is going to run out soon. I'm feeling so sad about this! I know that someday it's not going to seem like a big deal at all, but right now I feel like I'm not ready to give up this part of our relationship.
Any questions this week?
Can't think of any
GTKY: If your TV would only play TV shows, movies, etc. associated with one actor/producer/director/etc. 24/7 for the rest of forever, who would you pick?
I really like Noah Baumbach movies. I think he does a good job capturing the minor but interesting aspects of people and relationships.
Symptoms: still a lot of nausea, but it's easing up a little. I actually felt like eating yesterday so that's a plus! And exhausted...
Rants/raves: So my MIL told me a lot of times when DS was little (not that he's old at 2...) that she would never love another baby we have as much as she loves Gideon (DS.) I know what she probably meant was "I love him a lot" but it was still hurtful to hear especially multiple times. But she has literally not talked to me in weeks or asked how pregnancy is going since we told her a month ago. With DS she would ask all the time how things are going. It's already making me feel sad that this baby is coming in second place to her. (Sorry it was long) Raves: DH is more than excited and in love with babe already. He is so anxious for the next 32 weeks to be done so he can hold this little one!
Questions: I'm good for now!
GTKY: So tough, but maybe Jennifer Anniston? I like most of her movies plus you get some variety in genre... and of course Friends!
This is a weekly check in for people who are 8 weeks along this week.
The bump says baby is the size of a raspberry! Do you have other "sizes" for baby other than the bump fruits? Share here. Don't know any, but liked the interesting options @fraufarbissina shared lol. @JNCPro3130 I love the idea of my baby as a gummy bear or jelly bean ❤️
What symptoms are you having? Just like everyone else, fatigue and nausea!! But also constipation, gas and terrible heartburn. Anyone else with this fun trio? @MLD912 those horns rage blackouts sound awful!!
Rants/Raves: I'm struggling to get ANY work done. I really don't care about anything right now!! It's like I'm in a bubble of fatigue and don't GAF about anything or anyone. My rave is that my hubby has been a darling washing the dishes. Just wish he'd wipe the counters and sweep the floor too! He uses the counter as a plate and walks around eating
Any questions this week? Anyone else have any experience with spotting? I have had spotting since Friday after a strained BM, but fortunately my scan showed baby is right on track, thank God! After a previous loss I'm so scared whenever I see blood. No reason seen for blood on the scan so who knows why? Maybe it just is the constipation? I've got some stuff for that to try and prevent it from happening again.
Next scan is next week Thursday! Anyone else with scans coming up?
GTKY: If your TV would only play TV shows, movies, etc. associated with one actor/producer/director/etc. 24/7 for the rest of forever, who would you pick? I work evenings and Saturdays so hardly ever watch TV (don't know many actors or directors names), but I could watch Big Bang Theory, Mrs Browns Boys or Call the Midwife ALL DAY LONG
The bump says baby is the size of a raspberry! Do you have other "sizes" for baby other than the bump fruits? I'm 8 weeks tomorrow, so I haven't gotten my weekly fruit, bread, toy email!
What symptoms are you having?
nauseous unless I eat like every two hours, in fact I almost threw up 3 times in front of my fifth graders today...and to think 2 weeks ago I was upset that I had no symptoms. Tired. All. The. Time. Heartburn at nights. It's absolutely terrible. Huge boobs. Like huge and they hurt! Headaches. Also, I'm starving, then sick, starving, then sick.
Rants/Raves:
My hubby is amazing. He took my for blood work this weekend, which is a feat in itself because I'm terrible with needles, like panic, cry, pass out. He was soooo understanding and even bought me donuts after. I also haven't cooked in a week. I have no energy and I can't stomach the thought of making food, so it's been takeout almost every night. He hasn't said one word to me about it.
Any questions this week?
Is this Nausea going to let up soon?
GTKY: If your TV would only play TV shows, movies, etc. associated with one actor/producer/director/etc. 24/7 for the rest of forever, who would you pick?
Ohh. Hard one either Leonardo DiCaprio because he's easy on the eyes or Emma Stone because she's hilarious and an amazing actress.
This is a weekly check in for people who are 8 weeks along this week.
The bump says baby is the size of a raspberry! Do you have other "sizes" for baby other than the bump fruits? Share here. Wil be 8 weeks tomorrow but in week 7 according to another app I use it is the size of a micro chameleon
What symptoms are you having? very little, sounds great but has led to me being certifiable. Next week getting an ultrasound done as I have half convinced myself that there is nothing in there. Last night my boobs hurt slightly and during the day I had a little nausea, I was overjoyed.
Rants/Raves: my partner has been amazing, doing everything for me.
Any questions this week? Anyone else getting very little symptoms.or had them in the past?
GTKY: If your TV would only play TV shows, movies, etc. associated with one actor/producer/director/etc. 24/7 for the rest of forever, who would you pick? tom hardy or taika waititi. Can't wait to see the new Thor film!

@hotmessmamax3 due date buddies! Unless mine changes after my first US. I'm sticking it out in the May bmb because June looks like too much drama for me.
@MLD912 omg I've been more ragey than I've ever been in my life lately! I'm normally so patient and calm and it takes a lot to get a rise out of me. These days if the littlest thing goes wrong, I just wanna scream and destroy everything in my way lol I'm glad it's not just me
@theletlers was your son the first grandkid for your MIL? That was the case for my Step MIL last time and she texted me every day. I haven't heard anything from her this time. But I'm willing to bet that these grandmas will totally fall in love again once #2 comes.
@babydreams88 try the Ovia app! You can choose your weekly update to be a fruit/veggie, parisian bakery, fun & games, and weird-but-cute animals. Its a great app overall too.
@mmb4532 I don't know how you do it as a teacher! Between the nausea and the frequent peeing, I would be in the bathroom all the time.
Need to stop googling and stressing myself out! I definitely getting the peeing and the tired at any rate.
I was stressing myself out about it too! We are the very end of the month and I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow and sickness just started about a week ago for me. Up until then, I was convinced I wasn't pregnant and I'm still not so sure, but I have a US this Thursday, so hopefully everything is ok!
@fraufarbissina
Today was the worst at school that I've felt. I'm going to have to tell my students soon, they are older and I'm getting side eyes from all the crackers I've been eating lately! I'm thinking I'll probably tell them around Thanksgiving, after my first tri is done.
I’ve been nauseous pretty much 24/7. Having food in my stomach usually helps but when nothing sounds good and I eat something just to eat...that doesn’t help
Rants/Raves:
We just got to the beach for our first family of 3 vacation and will be here for a week, so no rants from me! Raves: Papa John’s Pizza is just so damn good
Any questions this week?
nope
GTKY: If your TV would only play TV shows, movies, etc. associated with one actor/producer/director/etc. 24/7 for the rest of forever, who would you pick?
Ever since DH and I saw the movie Dunkirk and I discovered Jack Lowden I’ve developed the biggest celeb crush on him. Hot damn he is a hot Scot
@babydreams88 No heartburn for me but the other two! Ugh.
.....end rant.... again.... sigh
@MrT723, We are definitely not a crazy, spotless kind of household. It doesn't bother me if things aren't perfectly in place. My only current issue is the little stuff (like if you spill something... clean it up so I don't have to clean up after you). Honestly, I'm not usually so irritated by these things. I think I'm turning into a crazy person!
@mmb4532, I had the picture perfect pregnancy with DS. I was really tired, but other than that, I felt amazing! I remember feeling the same as you and thinking something MUST be wrong because I didn't have any symptoms. I was just super lucky! This time around, I am amazingly tired and nauseous/throw up if I haven't eaten. I still count myself lucky because a lot of people are on meds for their sickness. It can be worse.
So much nausea and dry heaving and gagging....changing my 1 year olds stinky diapers have really started to be a struggle!
Finding something to eat has been a challenge as well. No bing sounds good or tastes good. I haven’t had any real consistent cravings yet. What sounds good one time is nauseating the next.
Rants/Raves: raves- yay I’m not very sick feeling! Rant-I have a lot of work today but I just want to take a nap.
Any questions this week? I don’t think so!
GTKY: If your TV would only play TV shows, movies, etc. associated with one actor/producer/director/etc. 24/7 for the rest of forever, who would you pick?
hmm... I just watched both Guardians of the Galaxy, and loved them! So maybe Chris Pratt? Also loved his “What’s my Snack?” Vids on Instagram. I love the Marvel series on Netflix, so whoever does them. I like action/adventure. That’s all I can think of for now.
@codik86 I had such a busy day at work today too. I can't wait until people know I'm pregnant so they stop asking me to do things lol
@lokibear89 that's cute! Love Ovia
The bump says baby is the size of a raspberry! Do you have other "sizes" for baby other than the bump fruits?
No, I kinda like the fruit!
What symptoms are you having?
Honestly, I haven't had too many symptoms which really worried me at first. I had my first ultrasound last week and that helped ease my worries a little. I've had some crazy bloating, some food cravings, and I am so tired!
Rants/Raves:
I am really excited to tell people but would like to wait until my first trimester is over-which has been the hardest part for me. We told close family like parents, but we're waiting to tell everyone else next month after my 12 week checkup.
I've had no ambition to do ANYTHING at home and at work..that's been terrible as well.
Any questions this week?
My biggest question to all you ladies is about the genetic testing they talk about at the 12 week appointment. Should I be getting the testing to see about any special needs? Thoughts??
Also, should I be looking into daycare already? I live in a very small town, so I'm not sure of where I will be having my child go or anything..when should I start planning that out?!
GTKY: If your TV would only play TV shows, movies, etc. associated with one actor/producer/director/etc. 24/7 for the rest of forever, who would you pick?
I'm pretty picky with TV, but can't choose one certain person right now..
I can't really help with daycare questions, sorry.
If you plan to stick around here and participate, would you mind reading the "stickied" posts at the top of the list, especially the one that says *Read this first*, and introduce yourself in the Introductions thread? It's a lot easier to discuss stuff with people whose story we know and are familiar with. Thanks and welcome again!

We were traveling this week and luckily the nausea let up! But still super tired and sensitive to smells.
Rants/Raves:
im not someone who loves pregnancy, and it just seems soooo far from the end goal, so every time a get an update I'm like, damn. Only 8 weeks?!? Ahhh.
Any questions this week?
nope
GTKY: If your TV would only play TV shows, movies, etc. associated with one actor/producer/director/etc. 24/7 for the rest of forever, who would you pick?
hmmm... I'm not sure. DH and I watch a lot of comedies together... maybe Kristin Wig. She's in a lot of funny movies! And I could rewatch SNL episodes forever.
also @hollieileen we are on vacation this week and I’ve been feeling better too. Praying it’s a coincidence and I’ll still be feeling better when we get home!
I know some of you had scans this week, any updates?
Hows everyone's weekends been?
edit because of autocorrect
I had an appt with an OB a few weeks ago for progesterone therapy because the midwives I see don’t prescribe it. We had an ultrasound then and saw a HB but it was only around 100. The dr said that was a normal rate because it was so early on but I’m still anxious for my first appt with my midwives on Thursday to hear the HB and make sure it’s faster now!
I have an appointment next Friday (Nov 2nd). It's to talk about mine and my husband's medical history and what genetic testing we'll do.
