  • Hi all, I thought I would reintro since I haven't posted since month one of ttc. Life got crazy for a bit there.

    Ages 30 & 33

    I'm just beginning month 4/cycle 5 of ttc.

    WAYDTGKU just sex and tracking my cycle with an app.

    Tw -kids

    I have been married for 8 years and live in Texas with my family. I am currently a SAHM.I have 5&3 year old girls and a 1 year old boy.Before kids I graduated from college with a Bachelor's in Psychology and worked in banking.We also have a super lazy cat who meows really loudly, but only when we're trying to sleep.I enjoy reading and if you have any book recommendations, fire away!
  • @dreamscapes_ Welcome! I also had a bad back injury in 2015 that was ultimately diagnosed as two herniated  discs. When I hurt my back in 2015 we were thinking about TTC, but that benched us while I tried to get the chronic pain under control. PTL for PT!
  • @dreamscapes_ Welcome! I am so jealous that you work at Disney World! That's my dream job. :) Which park do you work at?

  • Hi!
    my SO and I are 31
    We've been trying for a month
    we aren't doing anything but hoping for a positive test

    I was part of the bump since 2010 when I was first pregnant with my 6 yr old. And I loved the community then so I am hoping to have the same experience this time around.
  • @dreamscapes_hi! I’m also from Orlando! Welcome!
  • @spylon what BMB were you in? (I was in May 2016). Hope to see you in TFAS (but not for too long ;) )

  • @jaylii I have degenerative disc disease affecting my L5-S1, which is also herniated. We don't know what caused it. My husband is convinced it's a work injury, but there's no way of proving it, and the ortho specialist I saw said that I'm not a surgical case. Pain meds didn't do anything but make me sleepy, and PT didn't help. So that's fun, lol. Isn't back pain just absolutely wonderful?

    @offtoneverland First off, I'm so sorry for your loss! I work at Animal Kingdom in attractions. I used to be at Magic Kingdom as a pastry cook, and before that, Hollywood Studios with a brief sojourn to Epcot for Food and Wine. I've been all over the place, lol. What would you like to do at Disney? They hire pretty much everything under the sun, to be honest.

    @And846 Thank you!

  • @dreamscapes_ Wow, you've been all over the parks! That must be a ton of fun. I would be happy to work anywhere as long as I could be in Disney World all day. :) DH and I are pretty settled here in Maryland but I joke with him that when we retire we'll work at Disney World!

  • @offtoneverland I really have been! When I got the transfer to my current location, I realized that it makes all four parks and a handful of the resorts, lol. I do enjoy what I do, but I miss being in the kitchen. A lot of retirees work at WDW, so you definitely wouldn't be alone!

  • @cm716 We also have a cat who chooses to meow loudly when we are trying to sleep! So annoying, but pretty sure there's no way to make a cat behave. Welcome (back)!

  • @offtoneverland ((Big hugs sweet friend))  <3<3<3
    @cm716 Welcome back!  I was thinking about you recently (since we have a similar family structure) and I was hoping you had moved on to a bmb when I did not see you post.
    @dreamscapes_ Welcome!  So glad you are here...you were on Babies on the Brain board for awhile, right?  Working at Disney sounds awesome!  I believe @purplg8r works there too. :)
    @mrsinterweb I like your thinking!  ;)  Your posts always remind me of one of my IRL friends so I enjoy your humor.
  • @dreamscapes_ The PT I did for my back is not the most common treatment module but it made a huge difference. I don't have chronic pain anymore which is miraculous. The model is called the Mckenzie Method. It looks like there are PT clinics in FL that offer it. https://www.mckenzieinstitute.org/patients/find-a-clinic/ There's also a book that I have read several times called Treat Your Own Back. Just wanted to mention it to you because it was really effective for herniated disc treatment and I do the exercises on my own now.
  • @dreamscapes_ @jaylii +1 for the Mckenzie method! My PT uses it for my neck pain and I have the Treat your Own Neck book. It really is an amazing method, and there is tons of medical research backing up it's efficacy.

    @darkstar42 I'm glad that Mckenzie helped your neck! I also do some of those exercises! I sounds like a nut, but the McKenzie method really changed my life for the better. I'm so grateful to not be living without chronic back pain and sciatica down my leg.

  • @lalala2004 Yes! I remember you! Same BMB :) I will definitely be participating in TFAS.

  • @nmbrcrnchr1 I have discounts and guest passes, but they're limited in number. We tend to save them for visiting family :) Hope you had a good time!

    @dukestar5 I'm still on BOTB! Mostly centered there for now, but we shall see :) I enjoy working at Disney most days. Yesterday was a bad day.

    @jaylii I looked into it, but the closest clinic that offers it (according to their map) is in Tampa, which is two hours each way. So I doubt my insurance would cover it, which pretty much negates it, and their "self assessment" only had one thing that was accurate for me. I'll look into the book, though. Thanks!

    @darkstar42 I'll look into it!
