  • How far along are you? How big is baby?
32 weeks, squash (can’t believe this baby will be here in 7 weeks or less)

    How are you feeling?
Soooo tired! Pelvic pressure, so full, sooooo tired, did i mention I’m tired? I don’t know if I will make it working until my c section date.

    What's going on this week?
Taking DD to a pumpkim patch tomorrow, working all next week with extended hours for parent/teacher conferences, regular OB appointment, then my shower is on Saturday(10/28)  so I’ll have some family in town.

    Rants/Raves/Questions:
    Thank god it’s Friday

GTKY: When you were little (under age 10), what did you want to be when you grew up?

  • How far along are you?
    How big is baby?
32 weeks, the size of a bucket of popcorn or a squash

    How are you feeling?
exhausted. I want to nap so bad right now.

    What's going on this week?
DS has tball in morning and then I'm going to take him to a nearby farm for our annual mommy/son hayride.  Sunday DH works a 24 hour so I'm hoping DS is down for some relaxation - as in movies and rest all day.  Doubtful lol but I'm gonna give it a good try. Other than that, just work and maybe tackle some more of my to do list.

    Rants/Raves/Questions:

GTKY: When you were little (under age 10), what did you want to be when you grew up?
a teacher - I loved playing school, complete with real worksheets and everything lol. I was/am a nerd at heart.

  • How far along are you? How big is baby? 34 weeks. Squash sized. Also known as gigantahuge.

How are you feeling? Okay. I got all in my head about my GD numbers earlier this week, but my doctors seem super pleased so that's probably just pre-baby anxiety talking.

What's going on this week? NSTs started yesterday and are twice a week from here on out. We're hoping to finally get the painting in the house done the weekend, and a few freezer meals packed up, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a nap.

Rants/Raves/Questions: My sister was wrong on the internet today about science and I feel kind of pissed at her.  I'm having enough trouble getting my family to get their damn flu shots and Tdaps and she posted a poorly written article that references a sort of sketch article from 2015 that cites an equally sketch paper from 2013, which only has a summary statement (no data, stats, or study design -- not even an abstract) available without paying and now we have to pretend like it's legit science to have a "discussion" about it. NO.

GTKY: When you were little (under age 10), what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be an astronaut!

  • How far along are you? How big is baby? 31 weeks tomorrow, size of a coconut

How are you feeling? Feeling pretty good, just really tired all the time.

What's going on this week? Our local Hospice House puts on a Dancing with the Stars each year to raise money for the house and I am attending it tonight. Tomorrow - hopefully painting the nursery!

Rants/Raves/Questions: I am so over the heartburn, restless legs and insomnia!!!

GTKY: When you were little (under age 10), what did you want to be when you grew up? I always wanted to be a nurse. (I now work in the financial industry).
  • How far along are you? How big is baby? 33 weeks, per growth scan baby is 5.5lbs!

How are you feeling? I think I’ve been having Braxton Hicks several times a day, but being a FTM I have no idea if that’s what I’m feeling....it could also just be baby doing his yoga moves again. Haha. Like everyone else on here I’m tired!!

What's going on this week? Our first baby shower is tomorrow, which I was excited for, but as of weds I’ve been on strike and it doesnt look like I will be going back to work next week either. At first I was excited to have a few days off, now I’m just freaking out over all my lost wages....plus we are in the middle of a bathroom reno. I realize we are much better off than a lot of people, but we also didn’t plan for me to be out of work like this....which is going to impact us pretty negatively when I do go on leave and we lose my income again for several months.

Rants/Raves/Questions: right now everything makes me rant, but mostly just because of the above rant and how it was not part of the plan!

GTKY: When you were little (under age 10), what did you want to be when you grew up? I think I was one of those kids who wanted to be something different every week. I don’t remember any one thing standing out....plus I’m still like that as an adult! My co-workers have a standing joke that there’s nothing out there I haven’t done! Haha!

  • @kyrwyn I can’t stand those FB posts!! I have a long time friend who regularly posts “scientific” articles that are completely misleading and super anti-vax. She always plugs them with “in my practice...blah blah” (she’s going to school to be a ND) as if she or any other provider have actual training in research or data analysis. I try really hard to ignore the posts, but I’m a public health nurse and was an ER nurse, so not only do I give vaccines, but I’ve also actually seen babies die from vaccine preventable diseases, so it’s hard to sit on my hands and not reply!!

  • @PoeMasque Preach! I have a background in multiple analytical sciences and engineering, and I've done a focus program in statistics and data science. (I guess this is relevant to both the bad-science comments and the not-sure-what-to-be-when-I-grow-up ones. Hah.)  I'm okay at pretending I didn't see them, but she tagged me in it...

Good luck with the reno. Our is aaaalmost done, and I definitely think it was worth it.  We're also facing some job insecurity/concerns over here. I'll keep my fingers crossed that yours work out well!  It's so stressful to be this far into a pregnancy and suddenly (unexpectedly) worried about money.
