My MIL sent a box of baby clothes that i actually like? Especially these hideously 80s looking pants. Like, i think my mom has a photo if baby me wearing pants like it (bright, clashing horizontal stripes). I love it.
The hospital finally called me to schedule our anatomy scan!!! Next Wednesday! Not only excited to find out the sex, but also just to SEE baby again! It took longer than normal to find the heartbeat at my last appointment so I need to see baby to have peace of mind again
The weather has been beautiful the last couple of days and we’ve been able to spend so much time outside! Cold is coming, but we will cross that bridge of misery when it arrives.
It's 77 and sunny in Chicago today (where October can mean that, or, you know, snowfall), it's Friday, my college football team has its big rivalry game this weekend in perfect weather, and I'm going to Disney World for two days next week. If it weren't for heartburn and constant tiredness (thank you, baby), I might just bounce from place to place!!
Agreed that this was a very nice thread idea, @syssa-o. (I will admit I felt like a bit*ch when the only two threads I posted in this morning was WTF and UO. )
wake up feed DD and myself get ready and play for a bit drop DD off at the $1 YMCA tot spot swim for an hour, then poke at phone drink free Y coffee for an hour feed DD lunch nap time! Snack time go for hike/playground with DD play until DH gets off work by 5 start work and finish around 8pm eat dinner/laundry/dishes/vacuum bed.
I know for many this sounds horrible (all my child free friends tell me constantly) but right now I am the happiest I have ever been. I LOVE staying home with DD and still getting me time, and I LOVE continuing to run my massage/doula business even if it is only part time now. I get weekends off with my family, and for me it is the best of both worlds. My happy place is my life, and I've had times I couldn't say that so I truely appreciate it.
So what made me smile last night actually was, while my husband and I were sharing a nice sweet moment (it was our anniversary) I felt the baby move multiple times! Normally I only feel small flutters and they're very sporadic but there was definite movement so even though it sounds cheesy it was like the baby was celebrating with us.
Today what's making me smile is the bag of Pepperidge Farm Chessmen I'm working my way through...
My happy place: I had banana bread for dessert at lunch. I've been craving it so badly this pregnancy and am almost done the second loaf I made. Time to make a third?
Not sure if this is happy because it's a confliction of feelings.. I got a spot booked at a very nice daycare for my daughter now after searching for months. Part of me is sad because I wish I could be a stay at home mom but we just can't afford to. The other half of me is relieved because I prayed hard for this day to come and it's here. The anxiety is gone.. for now. So I'm trying to smile about it. I know she will be in great hands where she's going, too!
Yesterday, I finally broke down and bought a heartbeat monitor - and it actually worked! My husband and I found baby girl's heartbeat pretty quickly and my worry went way, way down!
@justkeeptrying - I had banana bread with chocolate chips in it.. oh my gosh HEAVEN! I never liked banana bread until this pregnancy either, so score! lol
Today I just actually feel decent. I’ve had a little heart burn but the tums actually took care of it this time, I’m on my third load of laundry, I completely picked up and cleaned the family room, actually cleaned the spots off the couch and the cream carpet, vacuumed and started moving furniture around in the next area of my house. After being sick all day yesterday, it’s nice to feel productive.
