Starting because I have to get this off my chest...

We picked a name for this little girl. I don’t really love it. It’s a very pretty name and it honors my Grandma, but there are other names I loved so much more. DH is in LOVE with the name so I’m trying to love it. I chose our first daughters name so I figured it was fair that he picked this name. It will grow on me, right?

My FFFC I decided to come to work today and I brought my Nintendo DS with me and have been playing Mario most of the day.

Mario is the best game. My MIL stole our Wii when we moved and the only reason I’m really mad is because I had a Super Mario game for it that I loooooved.

@Mattel that is a tough one. If you're saying that it feels like the right choice for this baby, then i'm guessing (hoping) it will grow on you. Do you get to use one of the names you love as the middle name?

I told a lady at the grocery store recently that I wasn't pregnant when she asked when I was due. She was mortified and I felt bad, but I'm not 40 weeks pregnant and don't feel like I'm at the stage where it's fair to make that assumption.

In related news, we announced to the kids yesterday and after the screaming died down, my 5 year old said "I thought you just had a gut! I didn't know it had a baby in it." Exactly, nosy lady at the grocery store.

@lindsye Sometimes mortification is the only way for people to learn. I applaud you. My non-confrontational ass would have just told her my due date and then said mean things to her in my head.

This might be more of an UO, but my confession is I think using pumpkins to announce your pregnancy is so.overdone. Maybe this is because I was an April mom for my first, and everyone on that board had the same freaking pumpkin patch announcements. No beef if that's what you chose, but I feel like it's the PSL of baby announcements.

@sparklingdiamond I have no idea what a kolache is!

@lindsye The name we picked is Elena Jade. I actually suggested Elena to my hubby as I was rattling off options and I like the connection to my grandma. I picked the middle name. I think part of the issue is that I’m obsessed with DD1’s name and I just don’t feel the same about Elena.

@Mattel They are a pastry that has different types of filling in them. My favorite is the poppyseed ones. My family is actually Czech on my mom's side and my grandma used to make them.

That's a really pretty choice @Mattel ! I haven't had the experience of really loving a name. We changed our name choice a day or two before I went into labor and I can't imagine DS as anything else

TMI Poop Confession* Ok so I have been constipated on and off the entire pregnancy and as of yesterday I probably hadn't gone in 3-4 days. I knew I had to go on Wed night but I tired and I just couldn't get it to budge. Well I had my morning Tea on the way into work yesterday and that must have been enough to do the trick because I went straight to the bathroom and I had the biggest poop of my life.

I was shocked by what I saw people. Then, I tried flushing the toilet

I think I was in the bathroom for 20 minuets because I completely clogged everything up. I was so embarrassed walking out because I definitely left my mark if you know what I mean and to make it worse we have individual bathrooms at work no stalls. So anyone who saw me come out of there and went in immediately after me had to encounter my destruction.

@sparklingdiamond my H is 100% Chez and his grandma is teaching me how to make kolaches. They are so good!!

My FFFC - Sometimes I work a little late if I don't want to eat what my H has made and I have an excuse to get the Chinese food I'm craving All. The. Damn. Time. So far I've done this three times.

@JJMNO1616 That is hysterical! I have zero poop shame and will go wherever I am if it hits. I’ve been super constipated also lately so if I have to go I cannot waste the opportunity.

If it makes you feel any better, two weeks ago I was out of town for a training seminar. I’ve been ridiculously gassy and that’s the only thing that gives me a little relief since I can’t poop. Well I went to the bathroom and as I came out into the little hallway that leads to the bathroom, I really had to fart. I looked behind me and no one was around. I stopped in the hall, did this odd little partial squat to ‘help things along’ and what came out was nothing short of alarming in volume. As soon as it was over, I looked behind me again and a guy from my class was just feet behind me. He must have popped out of the mens room somewhere between my pre fart check and the reassessment. We made eye contact and I just very seriously said “whoops” and kept walking. Couldn’t make eye contact the rest of the class. I didn’t even say excuse me or anything. I was so mortified that all I could get out was a very flat whoops.

@Mattel - very pretty name, I hope it grows on you. Someone in a name post said when they heard their older child say the name they loved it.

@kmalls - oh yeah. I do the same looking at online house listings. I was judging myself on my HDBD picture lol.
