I POAS again this AM:: BFN. Beta is Friday. I plan to test again Friday morning but I’m getting a little anxious. Has anyone heard of a negative Home test 7dp5dt and then had a positive beta?

@MamaK225 for me it is easier to continue going without not knowing than having to continue and do all the injections (and I have 2 a day! Neupogen and PIO) after getting BFN in a HPT.

@mamak225 May I ask if/how your protocol changed after two failed FETs? I'm not feeling super confident about this month's transfer, especially considering the horrid news about my estrogen level being in the gutter, so I'm curious what, if any, conversation you had with your RE and changes you made. No pressure to answer, just wondering
@mjbarretto just feeling sharp pain when I get up fast. Which is something I felt last two times when I got pregnant. Haven’t felt this since Sat. But I’m trying real hard to get up slowly every time so it won’t happen. So I think it implanted. But did it stay there??? That’s the big question. Other than that, no symptoms...

@prudence9-2 I’ve been feeling cramps here and there. But today seems a little more. I don’t know if that’s implantation cramp. Are you suppose to have some bleeding or spotting when implantation happens? I really need to stop googling all these things. It’s drivine me nuts.
@mjbarretto you can have it or not (implantation bleeding). I had it after my first FET but not after the second. (I think chances are higher for not having implantation bleeding)

@sarcasticowl - We had a few sit-downs with our RE after the second failure to go over our options. Essentially, he said the biggest reason for failure is embryo issues and then either uterine or lining issues ... OR the dreaded "unknown." We could either (1) do PGS, (2) do additional tests on me, or (3) continue as usual. Since our embies have already been frozen, we felt there was more harm than benefit in doing PGS at this point (that additional thaw, freeze cycle) and I've always responded well to the medicated cycles - and have actually conceived - we would just get a little more assertive with FET#4: we transferred two embryos. Our RE doesn't require PGS (apparently, many do) and since we had so many high (visually rated) quality embryos, there was no initial concern or anything pointing us to consider PGS. And all of my labs have come within the middle of the normal range (no outliers), so it doesn't make sense to do any more tests on me. So, worst case scenario: we have another failure and do PGS on our remaining embryos (since the risk is higher than we thought). May I ask - why are you not feeling confident about your transfer? Have you POAS or are you just not having any symptoms ... ?

@mamak225 No symptoms, sadly. None that couldn't be attributed to the hormones, at least. I also feel nothing out of the ordinary. I know that doesn't mean anything, but knowing that I have uterine issues leaves kind of a black cloud over everything. We had 6 PGS tested embryos and the first one, a 3AA, didn't stick. My lining was more than 9 and my levels were all perfect so it should have been a slam dunk. Which is why I have about zero confidence in my body this go around
@cdavies05 - Went smoothly - though another RE at the practice did it since mine was at the hospital, dealing with an emergency surgery. I, too, am laying low and getting in some Hulu time!

*TW* @sarcasticowl - The term PUPO is for a reason ... don't let you second-guess yourself!! TBH, when I got pregnant with my daughter with FET#1, I didn't feel a thing until about week 7-8 ... and all I got was extreme exhaustion. Sometimes no news is good news! I do understand your frustrations, my two failed FETs were both AAAs, so hearing the reason for failure being "something that can't be explained" is SO awful/annoying/anger-inducing. You'd think going through a process like this would be seamless and - at least - give answers. When are your betas scheduled?

These REs really should have an after hours person who can call people at home if they choose, you know? Who wants to hear bad news at work? My beta is in the AM. I’m going to POAS one more time in the morning before I leave for the blood work. We shall see. I’ve not had any of th implantation cramping or bleeding. I feel perfectly normal which worries me.
I have a question for you ladies that have had failed FET—I’m just trying to prepare for the rest of the year (if we are BFN tmr anyway). Like what happens next? You just stop all patches pills and PIO? About how long does the period to start before doing another medicated cycle

@tnh0413 Yes, they have you stop all meds and you usually get your period within a week. I think mine came 5 days later. So, not a ton of time to mentally prepare for a second FET if you decide to jump in again. My belly bruises still hadn’t healed from the first time
Hi ladies. New to this discussion, but not new to infertility. (2 failed IUI’s, 2 failed IVF’s, 1 successful IVF, 1 FET on 10/11...waiting on BETA, which is Monday). My doctor has be on PIO and my knots are horrible. After my husband gives me the shot he massages the area and then I immediately heat. I’ve been trying to heat the next day too, but it’s a lot easier said then done with an 8 month old crawling around. Does anyone have anything I can do to help with these knots? Thanks for the support everyone!!!

is your butt also bruised? What I do is the night before I inject I put ice pack on my butt to reduce the bruises and swelling. And then inject on that side the next morning. And then like you, I use a heat pad.

I do crinone in the morning and PIO at night. I ice before injection and then heat after. I don’t bruise, just get the knots. One knot is about the size of a golf ball, but I keep thinking it will be worth it in the end!
@sarcasticowl I'm sorry to hear that you are having some anxiety over these things. This is my first try at IVF so I don't have experience to tell but as I was preparing for my FET this month and AF didn't come, I was so overwhelmed with awful feelings. I don't know what I'd do if ever I'd be in your position. But I'm so glad to see support pouring in from other ladies in this thread. Hearing their experience made me feel at ease. Please hang in there ((hugs))

Afm, AF came yesterday and I started with my estrogen patches. I'll meet my dr 10/27.
@kristylang wow. That sounds awful! The nurses in my clinic told me it’s not good to ice right before because it stiffens the muscle and more difficult to inject.
Also, if you alternate sides you can ice the left side on the night you inject the right side.
Are you going to test before Monday?

Thanks ladies! The home test was negative again this morning. Just had the blood draw so I’ll wait for the phone call, but at least I know kind of what to expect. I’ll be shocked if it’s positive for sure.

@sarcasticowl - The term PUPO is for a reason ... don't let you second-guess yourself!! TBH, when I got pregnant with my daughter with FET#1, I didn't feel a thing until about week 7-8 ... and all I got was extreme exhaustion. Sometimes no news is good news! I do understand your frustrations, my two failed FETs were both AAAs, so hearing the reason for failure being "something that can't be explained" is SO awful/annoying/anger-inducing. You'd think going through a process like this would be seamless and - at least - give answers. When are your betas scheduled?

I have a question for you ladies that have had failed FET—I’m just trying to prepare for the rest of the year (if we are BFN tmr anyway). Like what happens next? You just stop all patches pills and PIO? About how long does the period to start before doing another medicated cycle

is your butt also bruised? What I do is the night before I inject I put ice pack on my butt to reduce the bruises and swelling. And then inject on that side the next morning. And then like you, I use a heat pad.

I do crinone in the morning and PIO at night. I ice before injection and then heat after. I don’t bruise, just get the knots. One knot is about the size of a golf ball, but I keep thinking it will be worth it in the end!
@sarcasticowl I'm sorry to hear that you are having some anxiety over these things. This is my first try at IVF so I don't have experience to tell but as I was preparing for my FET this month and AF didn't come, I was so overwhelmed with awful feelings. I don't know what I'd do if ever I'd be in your position. But I'm so glad to see support pouring in from other ladies in this thread. Hearing their experience made me feel at ease. Please hang in there ((hugs))

Afm, AF came yesterday and I started with my estrogen patches. I'll meet my dr 10/27.
Also, if you alternate sides you can ice the left side on the night you inject the right side.
Are you going to test before Monday?
