  • 1. How many weeks along are you? How big is baby?
14 weeks today!! The baby is the size of a peach!
    2. How are you feeling?
Pretty good. I had two nights of no sleep in a row, but last night broke that trend, so I’m feeling more well-rested
    3. Any appointments coming up?
I just had one on Monday—typical OB appt, but my daughter (11) got to come with and hear the heartbeat so she was thrilled about that! No appt until next month!
    4. Rants, raves, celebrations, questions?
I am 14 weeks so I am officially in my second trimester!!!!!!!!
    5. GTKY: How/when did you meet your SO?
We met at a bar, but through friends. One of my teacher friends made me come out with her when all I wanted to do was sleep. She invited some of her friends from college, and my husband happened to be one of them! I have him this stupidly lame wave (he put it on our wedding vows!!) and I made him text me. We got married just over a year later (when it’s right, it’s right!!)

          15 weeks - navel orange!
    2. How are you feeling?
I've been on and off crappy feeling lately. We drove home from GA overnight and got home earlier today.  I started feeling like poop when we were about 1.5 hrs from home.  I threw up 10 mins after we got back.  That's only been the 2nd time I've thrown up.  But now I have a headache and just meh.   I hope it's mainly all because of the trip and nonstop going going going.
    3. Any appointments coming up?
          10/27, regular appt.
    4. Rants, raves, celebrations, questions?
I'm excited that my bump is getting bigger and I can wear maternity clothes now.  Not excited about the prices.  I had to buy some fall/winter stuff because when I was big with DS, it was summer.
    5. GTKY: How/when did you meet your SO?

We met in an AOL chatroom in 2003. What are the chances? haha. We were 16/17.  This was before online dating - when it was embarrassing to tell anyone you met online.  He lived in GA and I lived (still do) in PA.  After 4 years of long distance, he moved up here with me :)  .  This New Year's Eve we'll have been married 7 years.

  • @psuxray07 wow, that’s SO cool that you met that way! Not many people can say that kind of a hint especially about a long distance relationship! Way to go!!!
  • 1: 15 weeks! Orange - 4 inches!!

2: Definitely feeling pregnant! Sleep is becoming difficult with hip pain and constant peeing and hunger! Round ligament pain is in full swing! Rollercoaster moods and energy levels! This pregnancy has been so much harder than with my first!

3: Today was my 14 week OB after my 1st tri screening two weeks ago! All negative and looking great! My EDD was moved to 4/11 putting me 15 weeks today! Next visit will be 11/9 for OB and 11/16 for fetal survey!!

4: Trying to choose a name is so difficult for boys! And agreeing on one is even harder! We have a girl name but I am worried we will never agree on a boy name! Hopefully when we find out the sex it will be easier!

5: He was a bartender and I went to the bar with a friend! We had a great time having Washington apples!! He told me to come back again and he would make me Washington apples, but I worked so much I could never go! One night he came with a friend over to my place as a surprise! We have been together since!

    15 - Orange
    2. How are you feeling?
Good. Other than being exhausted at night...I feel nothing. Which is worrisome to me at points.
    3. Any appointments coming up?
Next Tuesday, regular OB appointment, will just get to hear heartbeat.
    4. Rants, raves, celebrations, questions?
I'm really crabby and wish I wouldn't be!
    5. GTKY: How/when did you meet your SO?
I was really good friends with his sister. She was telling me how he was going through a divorce and had 3 daughters and I thought what the hell, so I got his number and texted him. We met that next weekend and started dating almost immediately. We broke up for a short time because I freaked out about getting so serious so quick. But didn't take long to realize that I loved him and wanted to be with him. We got married about a year after we started dating. The wedding date was quick because my ex-husband decided he didn't want to be a dad to my boys anymore so my DH now said he wanted to adopt them, but we had to be married first, so we moved the date up and he adopted my sons.

  • @dlammers that’s so great! My husband adopted my daughter, too, when she was three. He’s known her since she was 18 months old, and she’s the only daddy she's ever known!

@sweetpeammm13 I totally get it about boy names. Our girl name was easy leash but boy names are SO much harder!! I am not sure why!

    1. How many weeks along are you? How big is baby? 16 weeks - avocado

    2. How are you feeling?
I've had a cough/shortness of breath for 2 weeks and finally went in for an examination and they listened to my lungs - it's pneumonia :(I had to have a chest X-ray to confirm which strains of pneumonia it is so that they could prescribe the right antibiotics. I was nervous about the X-ray at first but my PCP, his colleagues, and my midwives all assured me that a chest X-ray was completely safe and very reasonable as you don't want to take antibiotics you don't need when pregnant, and you also don't want pneomnia strains to go undetected and untreated and leave my
body weakened for an even longer period of time. But ugh. Really? I have to be dealing with this?

    3. Any appointments coming up?
At 17w 5 days I have my next midwife appointment. I think I'm going to need to be referred to a nutritionist because despite my best efforts, I'm not gaining any weight. This has never been a problem before in my life lol - but I know it has serious consequences so I think that will be helpful to be referred.

    4. Rants, raves, celebrations, questions?
I felt baby move for the first time yesterday :) I was wondering what it was going to feel like and if I would even notice, and then when it happened I knew right away. I was sitting quietly on the couch and it felt like three little popcorn kernels popped in the area of my abdomen where my uterus is. Totally different feeling than gas bubbles and made me cry tears of joy.

    i can get through this!

    5. GTKY: How/when did you meet your SO?
we met in college -sophomore year. Mutual close friends set us up on a blind date and the rest is history! We got married at 24 and celebrated our 3 year anniversary in May this year.

  • @ericanagi that’s what I felt, too, with my first! It was during church, the Christmas service, and all of a sudden I KNEW. It’s such a good moment.

Im sorry you’re feeling so yucky though!!
  • 1. How many weeks along are you? How big is baby?
    14 weeks - a peach!

    2. How are you feeling?
I barely had any nausea weeks 4-9, and then week 10 hit and I was completely knocked over. It's getting better! I'm still exhausted, though not as much as I was weeks 4-6, and the heartburn is killer, but other than that, I'm feeling really good.

    3. Any appointments coming up?
We had a 13w appt, and the next one is at 17 weeks. I also have the anatomy scan at 19w5d... the first 4 weeks crawled by, and now I feel like it's going soooo fast!

    4. Rants, raves, celebrations, questions?
Rant: I am so tired from work that I've been slacking around the house. Fortunately, my husband has been very understanding, but I can't help but think of what it'll be like when baby is here!
Rave: I SWEAR I've felt him move a couple of times, but who knows if it's actually possible. I love hearing about his development and that all of our family is so excited. Also, baby shoes are life. I know, they're useless, but I can't stop buying them!

    5. GTKY: How/when did you meet your SO?
We met at 18 in the dorms in college, dated for 6 months, and he broke my heart. Fast forward, we'd been friends and living together and one night we drank too much tequila... that was 7.5 years ago. Married for 2 years now. Can't believe we've known each other for 11 years and now we're having a baby!!
  • @mikkimikey Thanks!  haha maybe because it was my first everything, it made it easier for me to deal with (not that it was easy)  After a year, we would travel back and forth to each other.  And when apart, one of the things we'd do is go rent the same movie (oh movie rental stores how I miss thee), get on the phone, and play it at the exact same time and watch it "together," lol.

@ericanagi  That sucks!  Being sick is crappy, but even moreso when you're pregnant.  (xray tech here - hopefully they double shielded you).  In your case, the benefit outweighed the "risk" for having an xray, but being shielded pretty much keeps baby safe, as a CXR isn't a lot of radiation anyway.   Also, I'm jealous you are feeling baby!  That is my favorite part and I can't wait.  DS keeps asking if he can feel the baby kick and I can't wait to tell him yes lol.

  • @mikkimikey  What a sweet moment at a Christmas service!!!!

@psuxray07 Thank you for the insider knowledge!! Yes they shielded everything and I'm just trying to remind myself that everything is gonna be ok. I was very pleased to hear back that the chest xray was clear - no pneumonia. Just a nasty bronchitis that won't seem to go away, however that means I don't have to take any antibiotics so that was really good to find out.
