Re: Anyone starting September FET?

  • @Holls214 my OH is very positive and speaks like everything is fine.  He always says ur fine ur fine!! Which yes I want to be fine!! Excited isn't the word I would use, he's nervous and stressed even though he doesn't admit that's what it is.  It's fine I let him feel what he needs too.  I know I keep saying I want to fast forward a few months so I can feel some movement!!

i keep saying one hurdle at a time!!! Ok so 3rd beta today yay!!! THEY should be making your appt for US once you get the results!! Or did you say your switching right to your OB.  I'm so panicked having to find a new OB.

  • @Fuzzy – wow!  My hubby is 6’3” so you’ve got me beat!  I attribute my “tall” babies to him, but who knows.  Both of my kids were 21.5” at birth, so they weren’t monsters; but I’m a relatively normal 5’7”, with all of my height in my legs.  My torso is relatively short and around the 30 week mark, my babies just didn’t have much room to move around anymore.  The doctors thought it was because of their length, but who knows.  They stayed with their heads between my ribs the last part of pregnancy, so it was hard to take a very deep breath.  I still remember my first thought when they delivered my first child (via c-section because he was breech) was, “I can breathe!”  Ha.  The first (boy) was a Frank breech baby so his legs were straight up in the air.  My second (girl) had hers tucked up into her belly and she stayed in her little curled up newborn position for what seemed like forever.  I loved it.  They are still tall kids.  Both of them are in the 95th or above percentiles for height when measured against kids their age (four and almost two, a boy and a girl).

@Holls – my clinic had me do my 2nd Beta (12dpt) within 2 days of my 1st Beta (10dpt) to be sure my numbers were at least doubling, and to check other hormones (Estrogen, Progesterone, Thyroid, etc.).  Since my numbers all looked good, they told me to come back in 4-5 days for another check of just my HCG.  I understand they would have had me back in 2 days if my numbers had been borderline.  I had my 2nd Beta yesterday (Wednesday – 12dpt) and I am scheduled for a 3rd on Monday (17dpt).  Let us know how your next one goes.

@Hott – we are on the exact same schedule.  Cool!  Your second Beta looks terrific!  Congrats!

@Hopeful – thanks!  I have mild cramping as well, and remember having it with my prior pregnancies too.  I remember being told it was my uterus stretching.  I even had bleeding with my second pregnancy, which scared me to-death, but turned out to be nothing.  I think it’s normal.  My husband is happy and I can tell he’s taking an extreme interest in my health as he's done before.  This entire week once it gets to be about 8:30, he starts asking me if I’m going to bed soon and that I need my rest.  It’s actually pretty annoying, but I know it’s coming from a place of concern.  He already does a lot with our kids, but I can tell he’s doing more.  Guess I’d better milk this as long as it lasts!  Ha!

  • @Hopeful_mom US is scheduled for 10/24 which feels like a lifetime away! We did switch just to an OB otherwise everything would be out of pocket. Hopefully it will be a good experience... Hope you can find someone you like.
@ALM30324 I would for sure milk that as long as you can. :) My hubby has been super helpful lately too. Super nice thing is that he now cleans the cat box! Oh the little things. Good luck with your third beta and yes make sure you rest. I have been exhausted...

  • @ALM30324  I have to say I'm so tired I can't even imagine having to take care of 2 Lil kids on top of that!! And I think 5'5 and up for a woman is on the taller side these days.  Being 5'8 my x was 6,5 and whenever out everyone knew he belonged to me as we were the 2 tallest in the crowd.  Now do I think I'm so tall no but when u look around you do notice you see the top of ppls head!  Sooooo I laugh that my baby daddy is barely 6ft  :D. I'm sure ppl will expect u to have tall kids for sure!!
my cramping was more to the right rather the middle so who knows.  Just hoping it was nothing and all is ok!!

@Holls214 yay kitties!! I love fur babies!!! At least US is less then 2wks away yay!!

@Hopeful_mom it was 3 days past the 652 beta. Doctor said now we don’t need anymore. Although you never know I might just do one next week to ease my mind in between US. Haha. Hope you are doing well. My app has been acting strange.

  • Holls214, @Hopeful_mom, I too have some pinching/cramping on my side (mostly left). I just assume that it's part of the inner organs re-arranging a bit to make room for the baby. It comes and goes, and I wouldn't worry about it unless it becomes very painful or constant.

  • @Hopeful & @Holls – My cramping has always been to one side or the other as well.  I’ve already told my husband that this little nugget has attached to my right side based on the right-sided cramping I’ve felt.  And not to scare you, but my boy was almost 10 pounds too.  My girl was a normal 7.5 pounds though, so being tall doesn’t necessarily also mean a big baby otherwise.  Sounds like we’re all tall girls.  We should form a club.  Or a cool motorcycle gang of pregnant women.  I can already imagine leather jackets with pregnant belly outlines on them.  Now for a cool name…tall, hot mamas?  Ha.

OMG @Holls.  Your 3rd Beta is fantastic!  2324?!!  Wow.  You should send out pregnancy announcements already ;)  Looks like you are only 3 days ahead of me and @Hott (we transferred on 9/29).  I can’t believe the difference in our numbers.  My 2nd Beta was only 181!  Did you transfer more than one embryo? (Gulp!)

@Prudence – welcome.  Good luck on your upcoming Beta.

@Fuzzy – Ha!  Forget everything I said then.  “These are not the droids…uh, stats….you are looking for……”

  • @alm30324 haaaaaa the tall hot mamas love it!!!  10bs woah that is a 3month old already  :D nice!!!  I was an average pnut 6'10 so it'll be interesting to see.  They say usually your first is the biggest - so bring it on  :)  I"ll be sorry I said that later!

    @fuzzydust hows the house coming?

@holls214 so I'm still in pjays and didn't go to acupuncture what is wrong with me!  And i'm ready for a nap!  :) sent u a pm.

AFM:  Excited for monday and nervous at the same time.  (TW) You know I was so sick my last BFP at 6w and even though I didn't make it past 10WK, I'm nervous I'm not as nauseas right now...which I'm thrilled too.  It was debilitating last time but that was for 2...so i'm trying to stay optimistic and positive but its hard!!! I just keep thinking I would feel more relaxed feeling the lil one move around...so lets go 2nd trimester :)

@Holls214 Great 3rd Beta! Can't wait to hear how your ultrasound goes next Monday!

@ALM30324 Is your 3rd beta today? Fingers crossed your numbers look good!

AFM - Had my 3rd beta today and it was 2932 which is great but a little lower than I was expecting if it's doubling every 2 days (My beta was 4 days after my 806 beta.) They scheduled my first ultrasound for this Wednesday! I'm surprised it's that soon. When she first said Wednesday I assumed she meant next Wednesday. Haha! I'll be 5 weeks and 3 days by Wednesday so I know I won't see much but exciting to get my first glimpse.

  • @HottLemonade2886 I am beyond jealous ha and so happy for you that you get an US this week. I thought I would get one this week too, but sadly have to wait until next week. Ahhhhh. Your third beta sounds great!

@Magallyta I agree on being nauseous. It is no fun. Especially in the morning and being tired. Glad you are graduating onto an OB. We never went back to my RE after getting the BFP. Just too expensive being out of pocket when I have great health insurance...

@Hopeful_mom hope everything goes great today!

  • @Holls214 oh no! I haven't fully thrown up but my stomach has not been the same. I am definitely not regular & certain foods disgust me. How are feeling now?

@HottLemonade2886 it's so funny you mention about the heartbeat related to gender. We decided not to find out the sex yet but the 1st heartbeat was 127bpm. Kinda feeling it's a boy lol. How are you doing?

  • Why do they even call it "morning" sickness? It's kicking my butt every day all day long :( I woke up a little scared - why don't I feel sick today? Fast forward half an hour later to the drive to work - wow, this is rough. I even entertained the idea of confessing to my boss about what's going on, just to explain my total inability to be productive right now (but him knowing might end up hurting my career more than being unproductive for a while). I lost over 5lb comparing to my pre-pregnancy weight, just not being able to find food that is appealing.
It's funny how I both love and hate this miserable state. I hate how it feels. I love what it means - the little bean is still in there, growing <3

  • Hello Ladies! Sorry you are all so nauseous. That hasn't fully hit me yet but I'm sure it's coming. I had my first ultrasound tonight and they found one sac in the right spot and as a bonus we got to see a heartbeat! I'm only 5 weeks and 3 days so even the doctor was shocked and said it's a great sign. We actually didn't see if at first but I asked if he saw a yolk sac and as he tried to get a better look at it for me we found the heartbeat. Wish we took a video but we were so surprised I didn't think about it to later. Go back in a week for the next ultrasound.

  • Hi girls!  Sorry I’ve been MIA.  Super busy with work last week, but all is well.  My 3rd Beta last week was good at 1141, and my first ultrasound is Tuesday morning.  Could have gone earlier but I’m hoping to see more than just the sack (that sort of freaked me out last time).  You know the baby is in there, but not being able to see the baby sort made me more anxious.  I knew that would be the case, but it still worried me.  Anyway, I decided to wait until 6 wks 2 days (or 6 wks 3 days – depending on who you ask at this point) so I have a better shot at seeing the baby at the first U/S.  Hubby can’t go since our nanny can’t keep the kids that morning, so he’s bummed.  Most doctors have a no photos/videos policy, but I’m hoping they will let me sneak a video for him.

I’ve read all the posts from you guys that I missed last week and am glad to hear good news from everyone – minus the nausea!  The worst part is always throwing up and still not feeling any better.  I’ve tried everything in the past and nothing has ever really helped.  I remember in my last pregnancy I got to the point that I wanted to punch anyone in the face that suggested I “try some ginger.”  Ugh.  Ginger never helped me at all.  Nor did the motion sickness bands, or the preggy pop drops, or any of the other million things people suggested.  It’s a wonder I wasn’t arrested for assault by week 19 when I was still throwing up and people kept asking me if i'd "tried ginger."  Right now I’ve also hit that point where the PIO injections are really, really painful.  Even alternating injection sites, it hurts when I first sit down or lean up against something.  I’m really ready to stop getting those every night.

I’ll be traveling to Vegas for a work conference later this week and I am so so so dreading it.  Late nights.  Pretending to not feel sick.  No drinking and having to hide it.  Ugh.  Ready to get it over with.
