Does PGS identify whether embryo abnormalities are due to sperm or eggs? This info would be very useful when deciding whether to continue using donor eggs instead of own.
Hi @maggier79, PGS tests embryos, so they are already a combination of egg and sperm by the time they're biopsied. They can't tell where the abnormality comes from with PGS.
If you do PGD and are looking for specific abnormalities on the male genome, however (e.g. Klinefelter syndrome), you can be assured that it's sperm-based, as eggs are only X chromosomes and sperm can be either X or Y.

Hope that makes sense.
Good luck on your FET!!
