Display Shower Invite Wording

Re: Display Shower Invite Wording

  • A simple request to all of our guest,
to make mommy's day a joyous soiree.
The gifts that you bring will be on display,
there's no need to wrap them in any way.
Ribbons and bows will be just fine,
giving us time to visit and dine!

I found this old discussion while looking for cute wording for my sister's baby shower. She wanted the gifts on display as well so she could actually visit with her guests. She lives out of town and rarely gets to see our family and friends.
Shame on all of you that criticized the original author's post. She wasn't asking your opinion on the shower, she was asking for wording. The internet is such a hateful place these days. We shouldn't be so rude to fellow moms, or anyone for that matter.
The wording we went with was: "please leave your gift unwrapped for all to see so we have more time with the Mommy-to-be"

You do realize you brought up a post from 3 years ago (original post from 6 years ago) to finger wag at people who probably aren't even on the bump anymore?
  • Feh. Necromancer's have no room to talk about shame.
