28 week appt on Thursday. 1 hr glucose on Friday. Blehhhhh I failed 1 hr glucose the last time so hoping I pass.

Have an appointment tomorrow, just regular checkup and listening to heartbeat. Might schedule a 3d ultrasound scan as I want to have some pics of baby, that might give me some idea if baby has nose similar to DH, as he is always pointing out in each scan how similar his nose is to the baby... Like really... How can you make that out in some black and white pics...

Just finished up with my 26 week appointment. All is well, blood pressure is still good. They gave me a TDAP and now I'm in the middle of my glucose test. I was going to wait til next week but decided to just get it over with today.

@burnsmommy27 last time I got the TDAP my arm hurt sooo freaking bad days after. But I tend to have pain after getting my tetanus shot so I think my arms are anti shots. haha. I'm not looking forward to getting mine next apt.

@supercoolstephy Nope, not just you. The TDAP is painful and it lingers for days. I couldn't lift my arm for 2-3 days after. Not looking forward to it this time.

Went for my appointment yesterday, everything looks just fine and also had 3d ultrasound scheduled but they said 28 weeks would be good for better pics. In week 26 now so have to wait for 2 weeks more.

@supercoolstephy you must be having your appt tomorrow( Friday), plz do update us whenever possible.

@sonalisharma yes, it is better to wait I’ll 28 -32 weeks because then they have some fat on them, otherwise you end up with creepy alien photos. haha. Since I have to have growth US every 4 weeks due to my weight, I ask to see her in 3D since they have the capability... and because I'm paying an arm and a leg (what a weird phrase when you write it out), I figure why not see my little alien. haha Also, thank you. I'll update whenever I know something. The nurse I talked to yesterday said that if there was a problem that the radiologist will call them but if there isn't a problem then they'll just send a report over. So who knows when I'll know if something is ok.

I’m waiting now. I don’t know how they got my measurements of my cervix last time, but my number last time was 2.9. This time she was measuring and none of the numbers were over 2.02. I don’t know if they add numbers together or not but she did say that my number was lower than my previous measurement. So she went to talk to my ob nurse and she said she wanted me to wait till she can speak to my ob, who is currently delivering a baby. We’re still waiting on the results from the radiologist about the funneling. I really don’t feel positive about this stuff though. Not that I’ll have her early but I don’t feel positive that I’m not going to need bedrest. We will see. Also, I have a freezer bag in my car filled with frozen food, and ice cream, from Trader Joe’s. Ugh.

On the positive side. The US tech worked to get some 3D images of her. I forget how much I like this tech. Can she do all my US’s please?

Still waiting. Haha. Can I go eat my ice cream in my car? It’s cookie butter ice cream. Haha

Sorry I have been busy since talking to a dr. My ob was busy so I saw a different dr who spoke to a high risk dr and my cervix is at 1.9 now so it went down a lot. They don’t think getting a cerclage should happen now that I’m further along and have given me progesterone suppositories and have put me on bedrest until my next apt 11/6. This dr I saw didn’t understand why they were even measuring my cervix because they don’t normally do that after 17 weeks or so. I’m like chick I don’t know. I go in. I get the ultrasound. I don’t ask why they’re measuring certain things especially since they’re doing growth us all the time. So hopefully I’ll hear something from my ob next week but for now I’m at home. Doing minimal things, ya know, making dinner, bathing the toddler and putting him to bed. Haha. Oh and they said no grocery shopping or walking around target.

Oh and they said that there wasn’t any indication of funneling in the report but last time they didn’t say anything about it until the next day so I’m not getting too excited about that until next week.

Well that sounds like good and bad news @supercoolstephy. Sorry about the bedrest. That will be challenging with a toddler. Hell it's challenging even without another child

@supercoolstephy Ugh, that does not sound fun! Hugs!
So, I'm a little uneducated on this whole thing... why would they not do a cerclage now? Is it only safe earlier in pregnancy? Also, do they know why it is shortening? It seems so have shortened quite a bit in a week!

@GraceUponGrace09 the ob I spoke to was saying that it’s because the baby will be big enough to put pressure and close up the space. I’m not educated in this either. I think it’s normal for it to shorten but I don’t think it’s normal for it to shorten at the rate that it is. I think I’ll feel a whole lot better about everything on Monday when I talk to my ob about it all, especially since she knows my history. I haven’t had any issues before with my cervix or length of cervix. I had a csection last time and didn’t have any surgery near my cervix that would have put me at risk. So I really don’t know. I left there feeling ok about what that dr was saying for the weekend but I need to talk to my actual OB on Monday I think.
