Testing: Not sure. Our timing was good, but for some reason I don't have high hopes so I may just relax and wait it out.

Rant/Rave: Went to an apple tasting event yesterday and it was way too crowded. The line to taste was insane so we skipped it. They had tons of different varieties of apples to purchase without having to wait in line, so I picked some new varieties that sounded good and one I knew I already liked. So now, I'm trying to figure out what to do with all the apples! LOL. At least several of the varieties are supposed to store really well so there's no big rush.

I wore a lot of Doc Martens. Some were not that bad and pretty cute, but the sandals were pretty terrible. Pic in spoiler.

Rant/Rave: Good weekend. Went to a local farm and pet lots of cute animals and did a corn maze. Made chocolate chip hazelnut eggless cookie dough for raw consumption. Not too shabby. Piglets pictured below.

@mrsinterweb apple butter! A regular crock pot will take 6.5 lbs of apples and if you double that it all fits in an 8qt crock pot. A delicious way to use 13 lbs of apples (if you like it). Also, if you only want to do the regular size batch, you'll only get two pints out of it so if you aren't into canning it'll go pretty quick. And its set and forget-10-12 hours.

@lunapup I forgot about his and also wore that trend! Oh man I thought I looked just like that pic but I know I did not haha

Rant/Rave: Took a break from my prep for school this week to clean up my house/watch 'It' again (I had to after SNL's 'Kellywise' sketch). DH comes back from drill tonight, so I want to make a tarte tatin for dessert.

CS/Q: Still having occasional streaks of blood in my CM, and a fair amount of CM. No idea why, so my biggest questions is to my body, and that is 'What, what, what are you doing?

This thread is bringing back such funny memories of the weird fashion!
@jaylii I had totally forgotten about this platform sneakers. I wore those and skater shoes all the time! How do you hold out from testing? I try so hard every cycle but I can't resist. I need to stop testing early though because it put me in a bad mood!

@offtoneverland I tell myself that it’s too early and will be a waste of a test. I also tell myself that first morning urine is the only stuff that will tell me anything. It’s easier to resist the rest of the day once that first pee is flushed. Please no need for someone to give me facts otherwise. I don’t want to hear it. lol These mentalities get tougher once I reach 10 DPO.

I’m conflicted for next week. 10 DPO is Tuesday and I think that’s too early to test. 12 DPO MH will be out of town for work. Do I test without him around?! I think I will be strong and not test because he’s going to be in meetings all day and I don’t want to throw him off.

@mrsinterweb - that's interesting about the apple tasting event. I went to an orchard yesterday and it was awesome because they had a container of apple slices in each bin so you could try what you wanted to buy. They had sooo many different kinds. I'm sorry you experienced so many lines. I that would have bummed me out.

@galactickates sorry for the BFN. Hopefully it's just too early. I've been to orchards where it's setup like that and more laid back. At this event they had about 60 different varieties from all over the region brought in so it probably would have been more chaotic for them to do it that way. Next year we'll know to go early or on a weekday if we can swing it!

Rant/Rave: TTC is getting to me. I'm 35 (36 this Dec). I called my doc just to see if there's anything else we should be doing to increase our odds, and though I couldn't reach her, I was told by the receptionist that I can self refer myself to "reproductive heath". I called the nurse there and was basically told I have great insurance and at my age, if I'm not knocked up by 6 months, they will start the fertility testing if we want. I just can't believe we're already almost to "fertility testing". I don't even know if our first cycle TTC "counts" because I had my IUD (copper/non hormone) pulled out right before "o" and now we're talking infertility. The nurse wants me to fill out a survey and have DH fill out one. They will order tests and by the time it's done with results, we would be at 6 mo and ready for our 1st appt with them. I'm grateful I have that option but also I'm like damn.

Trigger warning* DH has a 9 year old son and I have 4 and 6 year old from a previous realtionship. We just want an "us" baby. We obviously can both make babies. DH is younger. I can't help but think I'm just too old an fat now? What the heck happened to my body in the past 5 years? I don't remember it being this hard or heart breaking with my other two. It's really bumming me out. I'm trying so hard to just grateful for what we have.
