1. How many weeks along are you? How big is baby? 16 weeks, size of an avocado! Yum!

2. How are you feeling? Honestly, pretty great (physically), although my skin is super dry and itchy. Mentally? So sad about the fires and all the homes/businesses and lives lost. I lived in Santa Rosa (where the worst damage happened) when I was a kid, and have family in several of the affected areas. And the fires are still burning out of control.

3. Any appointments coming up? I had one to get the results from my NIPT on Wed, but when I got there they told me that the provider I was supposed to see couldn't come in because of the fires, and they couldn't call because the phones were all down. So, I'll go in next Tuesday instead.

4. Rants, raves, celebrations, questions? Hmm, in happier news: I painted our "new" living room and will be painting the new den this weekend! And, I have a legit little bump now that really isn't just residual beer gut, although it does still vary from day to day and during the day. I can definitely feel my uterus moving up though!

5. GTKY: Favorite movies of all time? You know, the ones that you can watch over and over and over? In no particular order: The Fifth Element, Love Actually, The Princess Bride, Demolition Man, Romeo and Juliet (Leo and Claire version).

15 weeks, orange sized

Just tired, which I will take over the tired plus nausea plus headache.
3. Any appointments coming up?
I had one this week, so not until next month for the anatomy scan

Anyone else have eye twitching? I checked online and it seems like a fairly common thing, but I haven't seen anyone else here saying anything about it.

@hedgepig AHHH! I'm so sorry about your appointment and the fires. My sister in law lives in Napa and has evacuated. They don't know if there house is still there. The devastation in the valley has just been so heartbreaking. The scale of it is so hard to comprehend. And we're still a ways from containment. All my thoughts with you, your family and friends.
@sarahkate2233 OMG what about bob. I had forgotten about that movie but it is SO SO good! Bill Murray is incredible in it. I don't have the eye twitch but last night I had a solid right boob twitch which kind of freaked me out!

I had an ultrasound this week (all good) so not till next month.

I facetimed with my parents this week so I could tell my dad about the baby. My mom pretended she didn't know (she was the first person I told), so that my dad wouldn't feel left out. I had no idea she was planning to do that. It was such a kindness for my dad (he's sensitive about that sort of thing), it made me realize that's what long-lasting marriages are made of.

Pride and Prejudice (all versions), Love in the Afternoon (best Audrey Hepburn movie ever), completely agree on Princess Bride, Office Space, The Philadelphia Story, Rebecca

@sarahkate2233 Yes girl! I have a twitch in my left eye. Usually in the evenings and lately about every 2-3 days. I find it to be more noticeable if I'm slack on my water intake, but that could totally be a coincidence. You're not alone though!

@hedgepig I am completely feeling the dry skin with you. It's so itchy and just bad looking. I've had so much trouble finding a face moisturizer that is "baby friendly" do you have any suggestions??

@stalkinghorse congrats on the good U/S, nothing better than seeing baby and knowing all is well! So sweet of your mom to pretend for your dad! My mom did the same, but my dad seemed disinterested in having his first grandbaby (not the reaction I expected at all), so what a blessing that your dad was so excited!

1. I'm 15 weeks and baby is the size of an orange!

2.I'm feeling mediocre at best. The first week of 2nd tri was awesome, but my migraines have made a sudden and nasty resurgence and it's a struggle to get through most days right now...but I've been in worse places with these, so I just try to remind myself of that.

3. No appt until the 23 which still feels so far away even though it's 10 days lol

4. Rants: We bought new windows for our home in JUNE and my DH and FIL said "oh no don't pay someone for install, we will do them"...And they are STILL in my garage. It's getting colder here every day now and my electric bill had been outrageous (most of the old windows are original single pane from 1948)! I knew this would happen, but it doesn't make it less frustrating. I can't even work on my nursery until they do the windows!

5. I agree about Pride and Prejudice but I prefer the Keira Knightly version.

@sarahkate2233 I don't think I've had a twitching eye since being pregnant, but I do get them from time to time and they are generally stress related.

14 weeks! Peach!

2. How are you feeling?
Physically okay at the moment. I'm sure MS will creep up later. Emotionally I am so stressed and at a loss as to my next move. I was laid off last week and am seriously contemplating not looking for a job until next fall. H and I have to go over our budget and pray he gets his bonus for this quarter.
3. Any appointments coming up?
Today at 2:30. I should probably get in the shower soon...

Anyone know of any legit work from home options?? (Wishful thinking, right?)

@sapphires-and-diamonds so sorry you are going through that! Some companies will set you up to do medical billing/transcribing or customer service at home. I was planning on searching for a recruiting job like that after June or July next year.

@hedgepig I hope they get your appointment sorted! What color is the new paint?

Still exhausted, but the nausea has subsided the last few days. Here's hoping I didn't jinx myself.

NT scan tomorrow morning!

I think we have a sense of what to do in the nursery. And we contacted our contractor regarding the estimate discrepancies and are waiting to hear what they say.

14--size of a peach! @sapphires-and-diamonds are you also a bit wigged out that our due date is exactly 6 months from today?

2. How are you feeling?
Energy is slowly coming back. Still can only eat about half of the portion size I was eating pre-preg. Will this get better?! I don't want to feel this way on Thanksgiving lol!

3. Any appointments coming up?
Not until 11-2.

4. Rants, raves, celebrations, questions?
Rant: I wake up pretty much every night with one or both nostrils blocked. At this point, I miss Afrin more than wine. Any tips for unblocking my sinuses besides saline solution (tried that and it didn't help)?

@mcg920 the nasal thing is basically related to the drastic blood volume increase that comes with pregnancy. I have the same issue, but mine goes away in the morning after I've been up for awhile and moving. Other than doing that I really don't have suggestions, sorry!

Also I am having the same issue with only eating a little at a time! STMs, any thoughts?

@ftm_ohio - normal. My appetite generally decreases decreases but I get sick if I eat a lot at once.

I have an appt on Oct. 30th. Which is just a normal check up

Still haven't told anyone but my mother and in-laws oh and my boss. We will be announcing next week. My mother keeps bothering about when she can share MY news. She sent me a text saying, "so when can I tell the family?" Ugh really you're not the one prego here it's not your news. My mom has a really big problem with boundaries.

Sorry about the delayed responses ladies - things got really busy for a second there...
@sarahkate2233 glad to hear you're feeling better! We painted out new living room a bright sky blue, and the den a beautiful lavender/periwinkle. In the living room we still have ugly, painted plywood floors, so I used some extra paint to liven them up by splattering/speckling it all over the floor.
@stalkinghorse I'm sorry to hear shout your SIL... has she found out if her house is still there yet? So scary and sad....
On a lighter not - yes, Office Space!
@ftm_ohio I'm not much of a product user, but I have been using Weleda Wild Rose Body Oil on my face and figure it must be baby safe because it's so simple. I'm sorry to hear about your migraines - I get them occasionally, and can't fathom having to deal with them constantly and with only Tylenol to battle them.... Oh, and I totally feel your pain on those windows.
@sapphires-and-diamonds That sucks so bad about your job - what awful timing! How was your appt on Friday?
@saisongbird How did the NT scan go? What are you thinking for your nursery? Pics?
@mcg920 glad to hear your energy is coming back! My appetite is about back to normal, although sometimes I do find myself getting full quickly. I haven't been any more hungry though, which seems weird though me.... not that I'm complaining, I eat enough as it is!
@jacklynnmike I have an appt on the 30th too! I'm having the opposite problem with telling people - now that I've told all the people I really care about, I feel super awkward telling everyone else (co-workers, community members, extended family). I was totally counting on the gossip mill to take care of it for me, but it seems that people are being surprisingly respectful!

@jacklynnmike I had the same issue with my MIL. It's hard to say but I sat her down and told her "this is OUR news. When you are allowed to share I will tell you, until then STOP asking me". I totally understand the frustration!

@saisongbird that's great new, little guy looks wonderful!!

@hedgepig I went through 9 meds (and multiple specialists) in 6 months pre-baby trying to find ANYTHING that works and nothing does, so not being able to take meds for it is not a new experience for me. At this point I'm almost grateful for that because I think it'd be even worse if there was a medication that worked that I wasn't able to take because of Oliver. Thanks for the solidarity!

Also, your floor sounds REALLY interesting, pictures??
