Trophy: DH installed the carseat yesterday, on his own initiative, AND looked into the AAA inspection services, AND made an appointment for himself to have it checked. He's driving to work with the infant seat in the car today "as practice." Zero nagging was involved in this checklist-item's progress. I just came home from work and found out that it was handled.
Trophy: Several of my friends are announcing pregnancies and it makes me so happy that our kiddos are all going to be so close in age. I have four close friends who are pregnant and due in March/April.
TW: I don't have one yet, today. Will update if/when that changes.
Trophy: DS is three days without an accident and has been waking up dry in the am and after naps (when he still wears a diaper), so essentially all Ps and BMs have made it to the toilet/potty since Friday.
TW: I guess is me... because of the holiday, and my husband being home yesterday, I thought today was Monday, which is a day off for me (regardless of any Monday holidays). So I woke up thinking it was Monday and that I had the day off.
TW: myself for wearing not-yet-broken-in sandals to work today and having blisters and cuts on my swollen feet way too early in the day. I still have so much walking left to do during work and commuting home. TT: myself for making very sophisticated toilet paper and scotch tape band-aids for my feet

TW: DD who decided to get up super early today and will not eat anything I put in front of her. I finally got her down for a nap, so lets hope she actually eats dinner at some point.
Trophy: I'm still in my pajamas (due to dealing with above mentioned wild child). I have no plans on changing until right before DH gets home. I feel like that's a win...
Trophy: DH ran me a bath the other night because I said I was sore and it was the PERFECT temperature.
TW: One of my employees at work is driving me nuts. Today she made a major mistake and, as usual, tried to make all kinds of excuses for why it wasn't really her fault and she didn't know how to do it correctly. I tried not to be too much of a jerk, but called her out on it because I was really tired of things like that happening.
TW: Horrible racist trolls on Facebook. **TW (as in trigger warning, not twatwaffle this time) below - fatal car accident** ETA to clarify between twatwaffle and trigger warning--didn't realize how confusing that was.
A woman, her three kids, and her niece were all killed. It's heartbreaking and senseless and the guy who's at fault was under the influence and also has a history of DUI convictions, so I obviously think he deserves the maximum punishment for this. BUT he has a Hispanic last name (as did the deceased) and people commented things like, "Wow if only Oregon wasn't a sanctuary state" [seriously, we're going to assume every person with a Hispanic last name is not an American citizen?] and "This would be considered a hate crime but the driver's name is _____. Too bad libtards" [aside from the blatant racism, that isn't even accurate whatsoever]. I'm so over all the racism lately.
@MJDsquared Happy anniversary! I'm tired of the racist comments too and I can't believe people even said that. But then again, some of those same people didn't know that Puerto Rico is a US territory.
TW-Had a doctors appt today and my doctor is out of town so I saw a different provider. Needless to say I wasn't impressed. She spent less than 4 minutes with me and basically brushed off all questions. Most importantly the results of me wearing a holter monitor for 72 hours last week. Talk about frustrating.
@Marley629 O. M. G. 5 hours? Wtf. I thought I had it bad this evening when it took me 1 hour to go about 30 miles (80% of my total commute). I take all that back and send you any patience vibes I can muster.
Trophy: Painter working in my house for doing a rockstar job and being a great manager of lights and locks while leaving during DH travel; also my parents for offering free doggy daycare at their farm during said painters tenure.
TW: Pretty much everyone at work, but mostly the 4 people who think they are my boss and collectively give zero Fs about properly staffing and preparing for my maternity leave. I will undoubtedly be return to a dumpster fire.

TW- the new provider i saw today that is new to the office. I had really high bp (161/82) at beginning of appointment but she ruled out preeclampsia because there was no protein in my urine but i am on a suppression antibotic for my kidneys since i have hydroneprosis. So, now im worried im heading towards preeclampsia Or was preeclamsic and she totally bypasses it just because of no protein in my urine which very well could be masked by the antibotic and i told her i was on antibotic and she brushed it off. When I left it was 140/88.
I plan on calling the nurse line tomorrow to ask about it but im just mad and upset about it. My bp was one of the reasons i had my loss two years ago.
TW: Me. I left my glucose meter at work today and didn't realize it until post-dinner testing time. DH was a good sport about driving me back to get it, and thankfully I still have the old meter and some test strips so I could test within my 1hr pp window but ... ugh. Not how I wanted to spend our "relaxing" time this evening.
@elvenchick92686 Holy shit, that's high BP. I would definitely let another doc in the office know that that was brushed off due to a lack of protein that could easily be due to the antibiotics. Docs should tend to be overly cautious with pregnant women, not under. Hope you get a good answer from the nurse's line, good luck & keep us posted.
@djd0404@Marley629 yeah i know. I didnt even think of it till way after they closed. I think they were happy it was slowly dropping but still wont be seeing any of the newbies. I will stick to the three that i do trust which i am seeing one on the 24th. I have my nst on Tuesday so i plan on asking about it then if its still high when they test it. I dont have any headaches or swelling which is why i was just going to bring it up Tuesday. If i have any issues till then i will call and ask.
TW: My boss. I had an employee quit a couple of weeks ago and we are looking for his replacement. We had a promising candidate who disclosed that she is about 3 months pregnant. My boss doesn’t want to hire her because she doesn’t want to deal with another maternity leave and is already annoyed that she has to manage mine. I wish I could go to HR, but I’m the only person in my office who has had baby in the 6 years since I’ve been there so it would be really obvious I’m the one that complained.
@Tigercakes if she is qualified then thats discrimination and boss can get in major trouble for that. I would still go to HR about it. That is very wrong of your boss to say/do. My boss has yet to even begin to find my replacement :-/ Course mine is super lazy and refuses to deal with anything.
I hate you are dealing with that. Hopefully your boss comes around but doesn't sound likely.
@elvenchick92686 I talked to HR about it the other day and they said I should definitely file an official complaint and they would open an investigation. The problem is the only other person if the room when she said that was my boss’s boyfriend so he’s obviously going to take her side and I feel like it will just open me up to more discrimination.
@TigerCakes I'm pretty surprised she disclosed it; I feel like not disclosing pregnancy is job interview etiquette 101! Then again maybe it was a win-win, she either gets the job or she doesn't get the job and gets to sue for discrimination?
Re: Twatwaffle/Trophy Tuesday 10/10
TW: Nothing yet, but the day is young...
TW: Idk if it's me or the toaster oven, but I burned myself on the toaster oven this morning so that's annoying.
