@lesliegolem - we’re not committed to boy names yet And we know we have at least one boy lol. Good thing we have a few months! @ngolimento - I think Victoria Ren is nice! Say her whole name many times and see if you feel it flows. My MIL was weighing in on the boy names and suggested Harrison. Cute name, but said out loud it almost rhymes with our LN, and would be a lot of letters for a little kid to write.
@julzy Girl names are really hard for me too... I liked so many boy names but feel stuck now that we know it's a girl.
DH and I talked a little about girl names last night and I think we are leaning towards Charleston Jean with a nick name Charley. His Dad's name is Charles and my H's middle name is Charles so he likes the idea of Charley for a girl. I actually think it's kind of cute too so we will see if we come up with anything else!
I am having such a hard time with names. None are clicking for me. I made DS say my list today in hopes of one sounding perfect coming from his little toddler mouth
My husband and I can’t agree. I really like William and Sam but DH likes James and Henry. We both loooved the name Katherine Elizabeth but we’re having a boy!
@hedgepig I am not terribly fond of NNs that end in Y, so I know I will have to deal with people calling her Vicky. I am partial to Vee or Tory. My main hope though is she is a chip off of my block and sticks with her full name .
@sapphires-and-diamonds I like yout list!! I wish my husband would just agree to Sawyer or Lincoln then this whole name decision would be done
@ngolimento I'm sorry I'm lame and an over thinker I love the names Victoria and Ren but not together personally. However everyone else says you're over thinking it so I am probably too lol. If you love it that's all that matters.

@ngolimento I’m Victoria called Tori since birth because my mom did not want me to be called Vicky lol. If you’re not a fan of NNs that end in y there’s always the i ending for Tori I also saw you were worried about Victorian but I think Victoria Ren is beautiful!

My parents tried starting the nn Amy for DD (Amelia) and I nipped that real fast. Nope.
@lesliegolem Thanks for middle name suggestions! I loved a couple of them. I was originally thinking Marie after my sister's and mother's middle names, but I'm already bored with it. Plenty of time to decide.

@StephieMK anytime! I love seeing all the different names out there and trying to brainstorm some. Also so funny I was going to suggest Marie! Then I remembered it's my middle name lol, my name is Rachel Marie, and its not bad by any means. But just always felt "meh" to me. I love my first name though.
@julzy did you have any other boy names on your list besides Jasper? We are struggling with boy names so if you have any suggestions I'd be curious to hear. Jasper is a very unique name and not one I've heard a lot. Girl wise are you looking for something similar to Jasper like a name you don't hear of a lot? Or maybe a unisex name?

I love Vee!
MH and i cannot agree so we are waiting to find out gender before going through the trouble. I've put a few on my list to remeber but he's shot them all down.

My husband is trying to make me feel better by saying "At least it's not Victoria Anne!".

I definitely like less common names. Not necessarily completely out of the box, but a little less common. I loved Jasper. I’m having some issues letting it go!
For boys, I also love Sebastian, Ezra and Luca. But Luca and Sebastian have both become way more popular in recent years.
For a girl, yes I’d like a name where she’s the only girl in her class with her name. My name is very uncommon; I’ve actually never met another person with my name and I love that. I’m not opposed to a unisex name either. Definitely something I’m considering!
If it's a boy-- Austin Richard (middle name after my dad) If it's a girl-- Tessa Marie (middle name after my grandma)
These are really the only names my husband and and and I can agree on. He likes far out there names, and I refuse to name my child after a Game of thrones character lol
@julzy omg I just came across Luca and its #1 on my list!! But I'm having trouble convincing my husband.
Girls I understand. My oldest is named Sabrina. Not that I expected it to be super uncommon but I'm shocked how many we've come across. If I come across any rare girl names will let you know Juniper is the only super uncommon one I've come across for girls yet. At least we have time!

@1fish2fishredfish Thank you! that was the top runner when I was pregnant with our son and we never got to use it! I kinda hope it's a girl for just this fact because I love the name so much!! Lol
@mikkimikey Tessa is one of my faves! If Ella didn't have such personal meaning to me, Tessa would be this baby's first name.

Loving all these ideas; we have some great names on this board!
When we first started talking names, boy names were hardest to agree on but I think we have our final list. I've had my girl name picked out for years (YEARS) and now I'm starting to second guess myself! I'm on the hunt for more girl options.
Boys: Henry (nn Hank), Max, William (nn Will), Milo (our wildcard). Middle name most likely Stanley after DHs beloved and recently passed grandfather (which I don't like with Henry unfortunately)
Girls: Eloise (nn Ellie, middle name Violet). Not sure why I'm second guessing it, maybe it's been too long. We also like Marielle but not sold on it.
@frenchiekinplusone I had my DDs name picked out for over a decade, second guessed myself for a while and still chose it in the end! Her name is Violet! Don't rule it out! It may feel right when they are born!
We're stuck right now. We have a girl's name that we love - Gabriella Louise - but since it's a boy we have no clue other than that the middle name is Louis. We have to figure out who we will name for and go from there.
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me. You made my wedding day complete.
@ekendall09 I honestly would hesitate with Sandy for a boy in order to try to prevent bullying in school. Is Alexander an option? It is the origin name for Sandy/Sandie. You could definitely use it as a nn.
@ngolimento and @dirtyboots that’s sort of what I was thinking too. Appreciate the honesty. I don’t love it as a first name but didn’t want to dismiss it. We wouldn’t do Alexander.
@ekendall09 I love Sandy as a boys name. As others said though I'd probably be slightly concerned about bullying. But if you end up loving it later and it feels right I'd possibly use it. I think there's so many names out there and honesty I rarely hear it.
