3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)? DH and I worked hard in the nursery last weekend and everything is basically set-up! I just need to organize baby girl's clothes and buy dresser dividers to organize everything (gotta love Ikea). I absolutely love how everything came together in her nursery. By far, it's my favorite room in the house. Finished with childbirth classes (I have one b-feeding class later in the month), and I'll start to pack my hospital bag in the next few weeks.
6) GTKY: What's your favorite dish at Thanksgiving (or, more generally speaking, Fall)? Favorite drink when it's cold outside? Cornbread stuffing and cranberry sauce. Favorite drink would be eggnog (I make my own and it's sooo good), spiked with bourbon. I also love a good mulled wine.
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)? Having a little bit of anxiety over everything. I feel like time is going way too fast and I have too much to do! We recently moved into our home and need to rip the carpet up in the nursery and paint. Hopefully that will all be done in the next month.
6) GTKY: What's your favorite dish at Thanksgiving (or, more generally speaking, fall)? Favorite drink when it's cold outside? Green bean casserole and pumpkin cheesecake! Favorite drink would be warm apple cider.
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 30 weeks! In the home stretch. Baby is the size of a zucchini, summer cantaloupe, platypus!
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)? Nursery stills needs some work. Hoping to complete it after my shower on the 15th. Classes are the beginning of November and hospital bag will be packed around then too.
6) GTKY: What's your favorite dish at Thanksgiving (or, more generally speaking, fall)? Favorite drink when it's cold outside? I love everything about Thanksgiving, but particularly stuffing and pumpkin pie. I also love hot chocolate when it's cold outside. @lindsey30 I also love pumpkin cheesecake - I could probably eat an entire one by myself.
1) How far along are you? How big is baby?
30 weeks! zucchini
Had my first experience with some major lower back pain. But overall feeling good.
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)?
Sleep..... I just want to make it through the night again without walking up to run to the bathroom or needing to find a new position for what feels like the hundredth time. Also for this boy to not feel like 5-530 every morning is the perfect time for a dance party
6) GTKY: What's your favorite dish at Thanksgiving (or, more generally speaking, fall)? Favorite drink when it's cold outside?
green bean casserole, stuffing, my moms apple cake. Hot chocolate.
I'm ok. I've had acid reflex really bad and the doctor had me start taking Zantac. Plus I'm still taking unisom and b6 for the vomiting. I've tried getting off but no such luck yet. other then that my appt went well and I do not have GD
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)?
Aggh I feel so behind. we are still out of our place because of the hurricane and there still is not a timeline to get everything fixed. We meet with the landlord Sunday to go over things and try to get things going with the mold and repairs.... Everything else has taken the back burner for now but I know i'm going to have to start getting on it.
I would love to be able to sleep with out having to pee or waking up with leg cramps.
6) GTKY: What's your favorite dish at Thanksgiving (or, more generally speaking, fall)? Favorite drink when it's cold outside?
I love Holiday food, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas because those are very similar food wise in my family. I love Turkey, mashed potato's and stuffing not to mention the apps before the meal. I'm not sure what I will be doing for Thanksgiving this year though. My family lives 2 hours away and my mom lives almost 4 hour away. My SO will more then likely be working so idk if its a good idea for me to be traveling alone a few weeks before I'm due. What do you guys think?
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)? We finally moved into our new house within this last week, therefore, I have finally been able to start the nursery! It is progressing, but I can't put together the baby's new furniture until after November 2nd when we get new carpet UGHHHH....
6) GTKY: What's your favorite dish at Thanksgiving (or, more generally speaking, fall)? Favorite drink when it's cold outside? PUMPKIN PIE!!! And for a warm drink, hot chocolate of course!
@hellothere47 Whoa I feel like you're a full month ahead of me on preparation! Way to go! Also I'm glad you passed your GD test
@lindsey30 It seems like a lot but once you start checking things off I'm sure it will go quickly - good luck as you get started overhauling the nursery!
@asiegel I'm with you on sleeping getting tough. All of a sudden my hips have been hurting badly if I stay too long on one side (like more than an hour). Thank goodness pregnancy is a ready made excuse for guilt-free napping!
@aheqoefamily Fx the next scan shows the placenta has moved up!
@ridedatide I've heard good things about zantac helping with reflux during pregnancy so I hope you're getting some relief! I'm two weeks ahead of you, but I told H as soon as we found out the edd that I (we) wouldn't be going to Thanksgiving. It's a 3-hour drive through some unpopulated areas and that makes me nervous at 38 weeks. I'd try and have a discussion with my ob if I were you, since 2 hours in the car at 36 weeks seems a little more doable but I don't know? If you're alone that might change things.
@Mandayno Moving really is the worst! And we realized that with every move we're moving more and more stuff!! Hope you can get some more rest now that it's over!
Mostly good. It's good to feel his/her kicks and movements getting stronger
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)?
We painted the nursery/guestroom. I ordered a rug and will be ordering the crib and dresser later this week, as well as some shelves off Etsy. We've also got the room and closet almost totally cleaned out so we can start organizing from scratch. Our hospital tour is 10/21 then we don't have childbirth classes until the first week of Nov, but it's nice to at least have them scheduled because I had a bitch of a time trying to get in for October. I have the hospital bag packing list made but since it's a lot of stuff we use on the regular or stuff I still need to buy (eg nursing tops), it won't be actually packed for a while. I made a pretty comprehensive to-do list for H too (fx he starts making headway soon
Last Tuesday was the 30 week check-up, then I'll have 32w this next Tuesday. No concerns but I really wish I knew baby's position. I think s/he's oblique and the google images make this look soooo uncomfortable! I have all my appointments scheduled out to 41 weeks
6) GTKY: What's your favorite dish at Thanksgiving (or, more generally speaking, fall)? Favorite drink when it's cold outside?
Dish: Stuffing, probably because this is the only day of the year we eat it. Runner-up is Sweet Potatoes with Toasty Marshmallows nom nom nom.
Drink: Starbucks grande no water chai, 2 pumps chai, 1 pump pumpkin spice, add whip. I'd say hot chocolate but I drink that year round.
