So at my last appointment (34 Weeks)
the midwife checked baby's position. Which presented breech and was confirmed via ultrasound. With the head tucked right up between my bottom ribs at my diaphragm (no wonder I can't breath well when I sit) bum is hanging out around my bellybutton to the left in a big lump and limbs seem to be all bundled on my right side . I get kicked a lot in my right hip those are definitely feet.
At this point she advised it isn't something to worry about as we aren't at term and there's time but it's something to keep an eye on . I'm booked for a formal Ultrasound with an OB at my next appointment (which have now switched to fortnightly) where if baby is still breech they will discuss 'options'
Any other mums to be tasked with flipping a breech baby or with previous experience on this?
I thought we could discuss here things that can assist and encourage optimal birth position and things to avoid if you have successfully flipped a baby that earlier presented breech . Also habits and postures we can all do to best prep. As most of us would be getting very close to term now
Even if it is to feel proactive about it .
Re: Flipping baby
I am also seeing a chiropractor who performs the Webster technique. I want to also try moxibustion & acupuncture. Anything is worth a try if it means no csection again! (My first was a csection because she was breech. My second was a VBAC because we flipped him head down at 34 weeks and he came at 36.)

I an seeing a prenatal chiropractor who specializes in the Webster method to help him flip. I would recommend checking out spinningbabies.com she has quite a bit of useful information on helping breech babies. I'm doing the forward inversion from there, handstands in my pool and lots of time on my birthing ball in addition to the stretches from my chiro
hopefully moves for you

Good to know you have got her to flip before
I'll definitely check out that site.
I'm very concise of the fact that I'm a contortionist and pole dancer/instructor. I teach stretch and contortions as well as participate and also handstands and have been doing inversions all along including in yoga . So I'm suddenly concious of the space I'm creating or restricting wondering if they may of been turned and flipped back because of the activities I do
I'll also look into chiropractor. I have never been before
Baby has been moving a lot the last two days and looks to now be sideways . So I am hoping they have decided to turn and will commit to a head down position .i am also cautious of any inverting till Thursdays ultrasound and if they have flipped I'll be finished with contortion till after the birth .
How is everything going for you @DungeonTrollMel any progress in turning the little one ? How much longer do you have ?
@Karrotelle is baby A behaving?

Twins seems like a whole other adventure
I can't even comprehend
Growth and wellbeing scan today
And bub is still breech.
Also stubborn and lazy and not moving a lot . They made me go have lunch to get them to perk up and move as a leg was obstructing some measurements . They did move. A little so the measurements could get taken .
Generally measuring in 22nd centile and an estimated 2.7kg
Everything seemed fine baby is just being lazy and not turning ....
Wish it was the the case.
I am imagining it will be . Will find out today.
The scan showed normal fluid. And bub isn't big actually a little small and they are still out of the pelvis so baby turning itself is still possible I imagine that means it's also possible for them to try and turn externally.
So not quite on the chopping block yet
OB informed us the only clinically backed alternative method proven to have results in turning breech babied is moxibustion . And was all she could suggest we try
So I'm also going to try getting my toes smoked. This amuses me as I wasn't expecting of all the things that to be medically backed
She also said bub can still turn so now it's just a wait and see what we get delt
Ha ha don't know what we are having . No worries it's sometimes easier to just pick a pronoun

the OB gave us a place that does just that do we are going to give it a try just need to get in to see someone tried calling yesterday but couldn't get onto them . Will try again today
And may look at a chiro
Tho I feel like it's all a little too late now as we are already 37 weeks. And bub is less likely to spin on their own.
Am seeing doc today to talk about ECV
Bub responds to gentle nudges of my abdomen when you feel for a foot or bum we get a lot of squirming. I feel like they are trying but just stuck so hope a version will help with that and baby can free up and help the doc out .
But we will see .

Not only did but not turn the Lil monkey pushed back and fault the doc on the subject.
*sigh*
We have been referred to another hospital with a specialist team of Obstetricians and midwives who deliver breech. There's only 2 hospitals in our state with people trained for breech delivery
We are at 38W today still doing all the home things to incourage bub to turn but are now prepping for a vaginal breech birth .
Which I didn't think was avaliable to us
Feeling much better about it all and even with still a high chance of c sec I feel more in control of our birth and knowing the team are all on our side for a successful vaginal delivery especially being our first baby
Been a long week for us and I had the app play up not letting me post ...

Oh naughty Bubba hopefully he gets back into position .
@Karrotelle
I saw you had them . Congratulations
Cheeky Friday 13th pair
How's bubs positioning going?
I'm so pleased it worked out well for you . Happy Lil family
Our little one arrived last friday also
In the end there was more going on and they didn't recommend labor even if she was head down as she is small and there was a very low AFL tho the growth issues and low fluid are probably why she didn't turn
