Over here, I guess we're potty training. I didn't plan on it, but randomly initiated it yesterday and it's going well so far.
We're also planning on hitting up the pumpkin patch with DD and a few yardsales since the season is coming to an end. I don't want to be out too long because of the potty training, though.
We're going to a wedding! Our realtor is getting married and thinks of us as family. She sold us both our first and recent home and has been such a blessing to us. Can't wait to see her walk down the aisle. She will be a vision Happy Thanksgiving @kalawa and all the other CA March '18 mamas!!
I felt the baby kick this morning!!! I thought I had maybe felt it a couple times this past week but still wasn’t sure. This morning laying in bed, it was definitely the baby!
I was supposed to have my bday party today at my house, but we are right in the path of Hurricane Nate. I was so looking forward to having lots of food and hanging out.

@chasingroygbiv I've been drinking kombucha tea by Holy Kombucha this pregnancy and it seems like it's keeping things moving. It could be coincidence, but I am so much better this round that I am afraid to stop. I am not sure if you live near a Costco, but they are on sale compared to buying the jug at Whole Foods.
@jeanbean15 I forget sometimes how hard it is in the first days and weeks of potty training to really go anywhere. May the odds be ever in your favor!!! I hope it goes well!
@jeanbean15 GL with potty training. Pumpkin patch sounds fun though - I keep meaning to take DD one of these weekends, but today is rainy and tomorrow we have my grandma's 90th bday party.
@dani103 Hope you have a nice bday and that you stay safe!
@LiveNLove44@becausescience Thanks ladies! I don't know wtf I am doing. I am too lazy to follow any sort of strict method so it will probably take weeks and I'm sure there will be regressions. Just playing it by ear and going diaper less when we can. I'm no that's in a rush!
@kalawa happy thanksgiving! I'm also heading to a couple thanksgiving dinners this weekend, so also just baked pumpkin cheesecake! Took a couple days off work so also had time to make a broccoli cheese casserole, artichoke dip, carrot soup, and toddler muffins with the leftover pumpkin ... I've honestly never felt so domestic, I should take time off more often!!
@becausescience that was us last weekend! The rainy weather ruined our pumpkin patch plans, but we finally got some sunshine this afternoon/evening after my tournament! I hope the weather cooperates so you can do a pumpkin patch, too!! DD and DS loved it, and DD is getting strong enough to help a little
@becausescience Pony toys lmao. I'm sure people are looking for actual children's toys, but my mind went somewhere really weird. People are into some weird shit. You ever see that episode of My Strange Addiction?
I did some wedding makeup this morning, some homecoming hair and makeup this afternoon, took my kiddos to see The My Little Pony Movie, made a low country boil, and now I am relaxing with my 9 year old and rooting against each other watching the Michigan vs Michigan State football game.
I've always rested my warm (not hot) coffee cup on my abdomen as I catch up on emails in the morning (or TB!), and now that baby is higher, he/she reacts immediately to the temperature change! I have to remember that baby probably doesn't need to warm up at all since he/she is tucked away pretty snug in there, so I have to find a new spot to rest the cup
Pregnancy brain is real and dangerous. I had $60 worth of Christmas presents delivered to our old address. I just spent ten minutes knocking on their door and now I'm hoping they actually get the note I left them and call me so I don't have to re-buy those presents. I'm so frustrated with myself.
@cford08 we just got ours back. Ugh I feel so stupid, but I'm glad I caught the mistake and didnt go calling the company. I've officially updated my shipping address on Etsy.
MH is flying home today from PHX. Airport security pulled him aside because they weren't sure about something that looked suspicious on the x-ray in his carry on.
@DDRRT1982 I usually love Kombucha and drink it all the time but for some reason I’ve been nervous to drink it! Might get some this week because it helps with my IBS.
We just committed to the playset we're buying for DS's birthday in a couple weeks. His grandparents are all contributing a bit to help us purchase it, and it's probably one of the cheapest ones we could find. We're planning on moving soon and won't use it for long, but I'm thrilled to have something to keep my two busy in our yard (in addition to their other activity options) while I balance a newborn's schedule with feeding, naps, and everything.
I don't know if this is confessions or not but...I am playing a game called "Vikings Gone Wild" with my SO and fam. Well, it has spells and what not because it's a deck building card game. I'm reading all the Harry Potter books and I openly admitted, in front of everyone, that I feel like I am in Harry Potter because I am casting spells. It went silent...and then my SO said "Kat thinks she is a wizard". Cue everyone's laughter at me. I had no defense...
