I'll be 19 weeks for Halloween so not sure big of a bump I'll have yet, but I really want to do something.
My idea so far is to dress DS up as a farmer. His trick or treating bucket is a pumpkin, so he'd be a pumpkin farmer. Then I'll make a black and white striped shirt with a number on it (ie. a jail shirt) for me, with a pumpkin on the belly. I might even write "pumpkin smuggler" on it.
DH can choose to be a farmer or a pumpkin if he wants to play too.
we are finding out genders just before Halloween, so I have someone who will make me one of these shirts with corresponding skeletons (bow(s) or bow ties) cheesy but it is just for work/ trick or treating
My DD is going as a fox, and I have hoodie with fox ears and tail attached. I plan on putting my DDs fox lovey on my pouch to keep it near just in case she gets scared. So maybe I'll be the first marsupial fox?
@becausescience I don't really "do" gender reveals lol.... so this is a way to tell people without being dramatic and it doesn't involve sketchy boxes, mass amounts of balloons or anything like that. I'm a simple person hahaha
Ughhhhh I love this thread!!! DH and I do Halloween huge, so I feel like I need an amazing costume. Just haven't found the right idea yet. We find out the sex like 2 weeks before, so I was hoping to figure something out to incorporate that. I kinda like the mummy idea with a baby girl or boy peeking out.
Otherwise, I like the 50s housewife and milkman idea, or Mr Smee and Captain Hook.
Sorry if those are huge, are we able to do spoiler boxes on mobile? I can't figure it out.
so far we've decided we want to showcase my belly as more of a "beer belly" and slap a trucker hat, tank top, flannel shirt and mustache on myself. While my SO will wear a mumu and makeup. I know it sounds kinda weird but it's our since of humor. Lol
We're having a Halloween gender reveal party (we do one every year so I'm just combining to make it easier on everyone). I've been looking online and all I see is the same costumes over and over again. The toddler is being Minnie Mouse. Part of me wants to come up with some awesome and unique costume, while the rest of me is like "what can I make from leggings and a tunic that's super easy and doesn't require energy time or money?"
I'm going to do a fairly low-key Lumpy Space Princess costume (from Adventure Time). Just going to wear a lot of purple and slap a gold star sticker on my face, haha (unless I can find a cheap gold tiara with a star, which would be even better).
I'm assuming I'll be bigger than I was my first pregnancy at 19 weeks, but unless we're dressing up at work I'm not really planning on it. If we do, I want to do something relatively simple but have no ideas. I might just get one of those skeleton shirts.
@syssa-o we were actually thinking of something similar(without the twin part though ). And found this shirt on Amazon. We are both in the medical field so it perfect for us!
DH and I are big fans of park and rec, and I thought it was unique (and comfy), so this is what we're going for! ETA: Words are hard.

I didn't read all of these to see if it was already mentioned but I'm going to be a "bump in the road" and have my 1 year old dress up as a construction worker. I hope it turns out as adorable as I'm picturing it!
I’ve been thinking about being Ursula from The Little Mermaid this year. Not specifically bump-themed but I love her and she has a bit of a belly in the movie so I figured it works!
Guess I am morbid, I was thinking of getting an alien and turning the bump into a "belly burster" like from alien (I know it is a chest in the movie) or a jack in the box.
@isntthatspeshul My friend did the golden snitch one last year and it turned out really cute.
I don't know if I'll have a proper bump for Halloween this year so I don't want to bank on it. I think DS and I will be spooky ghosts with lots of layers of material to cover the fat-not-pregnant look I've been rocking for over a month now.
A few halloweens ago I was Rosie the riveter and I got tons of compliments this year I'm going to dressed as 'baby' from dirty dancing and paint the belly of my shirt as a watermelon for the perfect "I carried a watermelon" and hoping to convince my hubby to go as Johnny. Dirty dancing is my favorite movie and my hubby will actually be home for Halloween this year, so I'm really hoping he plays along with me.
@isntthatspeshul I love the Golden snitch idea!!! @riansmommie I love your "watermelon carrier" idea too! I love Dirty Dancing so much!
I usually don't dress up too much during Halloween, but I really want to get a t-shirt this year that has the Death Star on the bump so I can say "That's no Moon!" to random people.

DS is going to be Mickey Mouse and carry his Pluto Puppy and I’ll be Goofy because of my belly and MH will be Donald. We are all Disneybounding though and using regular clothes instead of buying fancy costumes
We're doing the skeleton shirts too, but mine has a baby, DH has pizza and beer and DD has candy in her belly! It'll be our pregnancy and "it's a..." announcement since we find out the sex on 10/25!
Don't most of these costumes work best for a really round belly? Will any of us be big enough to pull this off? October isn't that far into our pregnancies.
@HappyMonkey817, I think it totally depends on the individual. Some of us are already showing a lot more than others. We have some ladies here who could be like 20+ weeks by Halloween. And especially for MoMs or STM+ mom's, I definitely think it's possible.

I don't even care. I'm doing that snitch costume - this might be my only Halloween pregnancy and damn it I'M DOING IT!
I'm gonna be huge by then! I don't really dress for Halloween, but if I did I'd steal the twin skeleton thing or be a jar of "Prego" brand tomato sauce (saw on Pinterest).

I'm thinking we will carve a jack o lantern and light it up with either pink or blue glow sticks? .... or something like that

My son loves Daniel Tiger and I think he would just be so excited to do this!
If I pull this off, I'll post pics afterwards. I hope we all do bc all of your ideas are so super cute!!
