This week was a recovery week for sure. I ran my half faster than the last time I was pregnant but was incredibly sore from under training for it overall. I was finally able to get back into movement or exercise today! I'm not following a specific program right now but hoping to do 2 days of lifting a week and 2-3 of "cardio" type movement a week.
@ekendall09 Congrats on finishing the half, and with a PR of sorts too!
How are you feeling this week? Still so very tired. I know I'll have more energy during second tri, I'm trying to remember how much more energetic I felt in second tri last time.
How was your activity level this week? ( following a program?) Nothing, again. I was tired, had some minor cold symptoms, and it was DH's birthday. But I did just sign up for Sunday morning Orangetheory. I might attempt a short run on Saturday.
Questions/concerns? Does anyone here have at home strength training program/exercises they love?
@irenejean we have a home gym with tons of weights so i've done a ton of bodybuilding type movements. Prior to that I did some of the beachbody strength type programs which were a nice switch up sometimes too.
This was my first really good week this pregnancy. I was able to start 21df again only modified. I switched out pilates for prenatal yoga as well. Am i lifting the weights i was before i got pregnant? No, but i sure am sore as hell from leg day yesterday. It feels good. i am going to stick to 2 days off though to rest my body properly. I have 2 kids already...i cannot lay myself up.
How was your activity level this week? ( following a program?) It was pretty good, not my normal 5 days (I work out at lunch) but I had a doctors appointment and went to lunch for NATIONAL TACO DAY, so I'm not super concerned about it. But! It does feel like my energy is finally starting to pick up, which is really been lacking in first tri. It is so nice to have more energy to put more effort into workouts now.
Questions/concerns? I realized this week I told myself that I would NOT quit running this pregnancy and well...I did
How are you feeling this week? Tired, but overall doing well. How was your activity level this week? ( following a program?) Good! I'm still not running but I did workout three days and was almost back to normal strength Questions/concerns? I tried a prenatal yoga class last Saturday and I really hated it, I think that particular class is meant more for third trimester or women unfamiliar with yoga/fitness. What prenatal classes are you taking and what did you look for in choosing it?
My week started off good...3 days of Crossfit. Unfortunately overdid it the last day and have had some spotting. So I did a walk (3.3) miles yesterday and no workout today. I'm just going to take it easy.... I'm still looking for a Pre-natal Yoga class to try.
I'm exhausted and barely hanging on. I missed a run and two yoga sessions this week, partly due to exhaustion, but also a crazy work schedule with two late nights helping parents/kids do FAFSA and a bus trip to KS for a counselor workshop at WSU. I was hoping I'd start feeling better by now, but I'm losing hope for second tri!
I got my long run in Sunday, 11 miles, and ran four yesterday. Going to try and get yoga in tonight and tomorrow before another 11.5 miles Sunday.
@beach_mama still there a little bit but only when going to the bathroom(not on undies)...going to make a doctor trip if it doesn't go away. Cautiously optimistic that it was just from the sit up machine and that by resting it will go away. Thanks for asking.
