3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)? I won't be packing a hospital bag until closer to the end. I'm a minimalist so I'll be utilizing most of what I'd like to pack until then. No classes or hospital tours - it would feel like deja vu since we just did that less than 2 years ago. Annndddd no nursery since baby girl with be bunking with us for a while as we intend to list our house this spring. Second child probz.

The songs for which you would buy a whole CD only to listen to one track over and over again. I am 30, so my prime younger music days would consist of the late 90's and early aughts. AKA the boyband era lol. I am an unapologetic Spice Girl fan. Still. I know every word to every NSync song. No Doubt Magic Kingdom was in my boom box for a solid year straight after my friend's big sister burned me a copy a few years after it came out. I still have it, although I mostly listen to it on Spotify now. I also went through a Punk Rock Princess phase (thank you Something Corporate) and went to concerts all the time. I was way too young to be doing that shit and when I look back on it I question my mother's parenting lol I was a good girl in that I got good grades but other than that, I was basically allowed to do what I want and going to concerts as a 16 year old was a huge part of that.

3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)? DH and I cleaned up the nursery a bit last weekend, but we still need to order the crib, finish the dresser/changing table (DH is stripping a piece we bought on Craigslist and painting it white to match the other furniture), affix the bookshelves to the wall, frame and hang some art, build a storage cube thing from Target, and I need to finish knitting the baby blanket and sewing another one. We're not taking any classes this time, but I do need to pack my bag at some point. Lots to do in 10 weeks!

The songs for which you would buy a whole CD only to listen to one track over and over again. I was very into Matchbox 20 back in the day, and then eventually Maroon 5. Also, Britney's Toxic was my jam.

30 weeks! zuchinni or 1/2 a cheesecake? Some of these comparisons are ridiculous haha
Pretty good! Sleeping officially requires 5 pillows these days haha but it's happening so that's good. Baby's kicks are getting more and more uncomfortable, I don't remember them being this uncomfortable this early with DS! I'm trying not get myself down about weight gain. I am SO good about motivating others to not care about it, but for myself, I can't help but worry. I know I should just get rid of my scale, but I just can't. I've gained 7 lbs since my last midwife appointment 3 weeks ago and I can't help but feel like that's too much. I KNOW I've been eating too many sweets and treats, but they are just SO good. Ugh. I know what I need to do, but I just don't want to do it.
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)?
Crib arrived last week, but it's still half in the box and unassembled in the spare room. I am about 1/2 way through my online birth prep course, which is good. I talked to DH about hiring a doula, and he said 'well that's stupid, you have a midwife'. I just don't think he understands the concept. I am most concerned since he is refusing to make any back up plans for what to do with DS in case of emergency that I want to have someone who can stay with ME if something happens and he needs to stay with him... It's all making me very anxious. And he's been working non-stop so we haven't really had time to sit down and talk it all out.
Midwife appointment this morning!
We talked to my ILs last night and decided on a rough timeline for their visit which is exciting! They are thinking ~Dec 9 until Dec 26 (due date is the 13th). Ideally, they'd be here for the birth so they can watch DS if needed, but it's so hard when you're planning on a natural birth! I am also excited they will be here for Christmas so they can kind of handle the craziness and I can just rest.

Don't Stop Believin will ALWAYS get me singing at the top of my lungs. My heart will go on is another.
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)? We will go on a tour in a few weeks, as this is a different hospital than my previous deliveries, and at some point when December rolls around I'll think about packing a bag.

The songs for which you would buy a whole CD only to listen to one track over and over again. For me it's all the old punk rock bands that I still turn on every now and then for nostalgia (thanks in large part to Apple Music since my college ipod and laptop have long since died). But I think my all-time favorite, or at least the band I liked the most (and still like), for the longest amount of time is Blink 182. All the posters, t-shirts and concerts I could get my hands on.
@cait5413 so sorry about your neighbors, that's heartbreaking
@disneyfan0511 sorry you're in so much pain! Hope you feel better soon
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 31 weeks, a pineapple or asparagus
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)? We're okay. Nursery is coming along... all the furniture is at least in there and set up, but we have no "stuff" yet like a mattress or blankets or clothes or diapers and that sort of thing. Shower is another month away. I have a hospital bag checklist made but won't really start packing until another month or so. Not doing any classes but I would like to try to educate myself a little on breastfeeding. My OB recommended checking out the La Leche League website.

The songs for which you would buy a whole CD only to listen to one track over and over again. God, I had so many. MmmBop, Hit Me Baby One More Time, Tubthumping, My Heart Will Go On, and all the boyband stuff (but especially 98 degrees and Backstreet Boys)

I am losing track of the weeks! I have one app that says 29 and another that says 28.. I guess 28. Eggplant
My back is killing me!! It hurts some days to even stand up and walk. I saw a pelvic floor physio this week and it was absolutely amazing!
Baby's kicks are definitely getting stronger, I'm sure I felt the outline of a foot this week pressing into my stomach!
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)?
I need to finish painting the murals in the baby's room before I move any furniture in, but we have it all. We picked up the dresser and change table last night! I just want a new mattress - I don't want to use the one my SIL gave me as it's torn and I'm a germa-phob haha! And I need a baby monitor.
I took a class a couple weeks ago. It was okay. We learned about how to use a stability ball during labour. That was the coolest part of the class.
My dad mentioned last night that he and my mom kept a few cloth diapers around just in case they ran out of disposable diapers. I didn't think that was a terrible idea.
Microsoft Word Track Changes.. ughhhhh!
6) GTKY: Share your guilty pleasure songs from your younger days! The songs you would wait to hear on the radio so you could tape it. The songs for which you would buy a whole CD only to listen to one track over and over again.
I'm not sure if I had any guilty pleasure songs.. I'd say more recently, in the past Miley Cyrus.
I used to tape grunge music off the radio.
@failuretofly I have a doula! My husband calls her a "rent-a-mom".. I'm really hoping she'll be helpful. So far I haven't had many questions so I don't feel I've gotten a lot of value from her.. She was formerly a naturopathic doctor, so I asked her if I was safe taking a protein powder and she said I was. I feel confident in her ability to read the label! haha! I'm just not sure I could tolerate relying solely on my mom.... it's been a while and some of the stuff, like what a swaddle blanket is and is used for, my mom had no idea (not that I need a doula for a blanket question, but that shows the level of knowledge my mom has).
I'm panicking that I'll forget to call the doula or I'll go into labour super early and she won't be available haha.. so much to worry about.
Great. Some tenderness in my lower abs
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)?
Classes: taking a breastfeeding class tonight
bag: haven’t started
Rave- almost have all my dance class subs figured out for when I go on leave!

hmmm Spice Girls and *NSYNC lol
31 weeks, bunch of asparagus, which is smaller than a pineapple!
I can't wait to blow my nose without blood coming out, but no pain like others here
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)?
I'm filling out our pre-registration packet for the hospital and it seems too real.
Just got back from one. Passed my glucose test and no anemia issues.
Rave - DH put on a Paula Dean style cooking show in our kitchen last night, complete with southern accent. I could not stop laughing.

Too many to pick honestly. I think the first CD I bought was Britney's Baby One More Time.
tired. tummy is tight a lot but mostly just uncomfortable.
3) How are your preparations coming along (nursery, classes, hospital bag, etc.)?
slowly. We aren't doing classes this time. I started my hospital bag list but that's all for that. The nursery is half empty. And then we need to scrub it. I am not excited about the scrubbing.

But Resident doctors drive me nuts.
@peachy13 La Leche League is a great resource, as is Kellymom. The LLL book, The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding (hate the title) is a really helpful resource. I was into 98 degrees--I think Nick Lachey may have been my fave boy band guy--though I liked Nick Carter, too.
