Hope everyone's been doing well on this board. The stars have finally aligned for me. I got AF this past weekend on time (Ovia app predictions rocked this month) and am scheduled to have my septate removal surgery tomorrow!!! After the surgery I will need to wait 1 cycle and I will be back to a normal risk for miscarriage and can start trying again. Happy to get off the bench, since we're now coming up on a year TTC.

Edited to add (was so excited for my movement towards off the bench): Favorite dessert - does Halloween candy count?  :)

@msstephanielynn good luck with your septate removal and yay for almost being off the bench. And if Halloween candy is your fave then it totally counts.

AFM: I'm CD24 so probably 2-4ish DPO. Decided against OPKs but did try to HIO EoD during my predicted FW. So who knows, there's always a chance. I have been working out and drinking more water lately and have noticed a lot more CM, hopefully that's good!

QOTW: Apple crisp with Vanilla ice cream OR pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Mmmm

@msstephanielynn Good luck with your surgery tomorrow!

@SoontoBeMommaHowe Thanks for starting the thread this week. Always good to get some FW sex in. :)

AFM We are also putting in some vague effort during my FW (CD15 right now, probably will O in the next few days). I'm not even bothering to use OPKs this month. SHG was clear last week, so just have to get through the rest of this cycle and it's on to FET!

QOTW: Pumpkin pie, hands down. But I can't get behind the pumpkin pie-flavored everything. Give me the real pie. Nom nom nom nom.

@soontobemommahowe thanks for getting this started!
Sounds like some awesome changes this month and I think if it helped increase the CM then extra great!

@msstephanielynn good luck in your surgery tomorrow!

AFM well I am 5dp2dt... which of course equates to only 7dpo so too early to know anything. But boy is the progesterone screwing with my SS. My boobs are so huge I had to buy a new bra and I'm feeling nauseous and wobbly. I've been POAS every day since trigger and it's been negative since Saturday so I know I don't have any HCG left from the trigger. But all the SS are classic with progesterone supplementation. And now I have to wait until 6th Oct for my beta! This feels like an eternity!
One one hand, I know my emby was only a 2 day, and I only retrieved one egg, and it's our first IVF (even thought we are 2.5 years into our journey) - plus I'm 39 and have never had a BFP in my life despite not so perfect birth control, on top of an autoimmune issue... so the odds are not stacked in our favour, but on the other hand there is that small glimmer of hope...

(sorry - progesterone also seems to make me more emotional!!!)

    Hello everyone,

I was sitting at my desk and realized I hadn't checked in for a while.  I wanted to poke my head in and see how everyone is doing.

Still nothing going on for me.  6 weeks and counting until our IVF consult (it feels like forever).  I read a couple of books on IVF while waiting that were and weren't helpful at the same time. A lot of repeat info, but it did give me some good ideas about things I should ask during the consult.  The biggest excitement was about 2 weeks ago when my libido magically reappeared.

Hope everyone is doing well.  Hugs for anyone who needs one.  I will probably be radio silent for a while again but may pop in periodically until the appointment.

QOTW:  Not really sure, probably either caramel apples or apple crisp.

@Bababatty do you like pumpkin chocolate chip cookies?! If you aren't sold I should make you some and Mail them, they're sooooo delicious!

@emmasemm you already had to buy a new bra!? Holy progesterone inflating the girls  :D I'm sure beta day seems like it will never get here but hopefully you find something to keep you a little preoccupied....a good book? Netflix?

    **TW**
I forgot to mention (this is more meant for the adoption board but that's not active at all) that we are 2/3 done with our home study process for fostering to adopt and our social worker already submitted our profile for a match meeting for a baby. I'm sure there will be tons of families hoping to get matched so the odds are probably not great but hey there's a chance. This is kinda like a different kind of TWW.

@msstephanielynn yay for AF and good luck on your surgery! Hopefully this is the start of a new beginning :)

@emmasemm FX for your beta next week!

@SoonToBeMommaHowe good that you were active during your FW; you never know! and good luck with the possibility of fostering- what a wonderful thing!

@amac2313 welcome to the board! :)

@hoffmanr7 hope the weeks go by fast for your IVF appt

AFM, RE monitored ovulation with bloodwork and ultrasounds last week. DH and I DTD almost every day during the FW. Went for bloodwork again on Tuesday and my progesterone came up low at 9, not 10+ so RE prescribed 200mg daily oral progesterone, which I started taking last night. Guess we'll see if this does anything if an egg was actually fertilized, but who knows. Not looking forward to symptoms and side effects that may mess with my head even more, but Beta is scheduled for Fri, Oct 6 or AF.

Hey all - I have been following, but realize I missed posting on the last thread! I meant to, but it just didn't happen. Also, I think I'm maybe not quite as active as I was a while back... I was really active on this board up through my first 2 IUI cycles, and since then I've been more active on the IF board...

But I do like to keep in touch, if only because I'm hoping everyone gets KU-ed soon, and I will be around to see it! That, and @GoldenKeys - I want on that Hall of Fame! LOL!  :p

@msstephanielynn - Good luck with tomorrow's surgery! xo

@Bababatty - I too prefer the real pie. And I'm super, super excited for your FET - really praying for you. I mean, obviously I don't want you to graduate before me because I will really miss you, but at the same time, I'm also like: "It's your time. This is the one." xoxoxo

@emmasemm - I am so thrilled for you and have been following! Really excited for your beta! Oct 6 does seem like an eternity - I hear the TWW after a transfer is the WORST - but am keeping FX for you! So exciting!

@hoffmanr7 - welcome back albeit briefly! I hope all is going well!

@SoonToBeMommaHowe - amazing news about your adoption! Hoping all goes well for you! I don't know when you are going to meet your first baby, but I know when you do, you are going to fall sooooo in love! xoxo

@amac2313 - welcome! I cannot stress enough - do the testing! Test test test! If you can get yourself a diagnosis, you will save so much time.

@tinabell8 - keeping FX for you this round!

@Tops-2 - I wanted to mention, I really laughed at your work out joke last week... I should probably hit the gym, but have not - not at all!

@fluffybookworm - I'm so sorry about your car! Our car died last year and it was brutal... That and IF together, it was like: "WHY ME?" Lol. Hope you're having better luck this week.

AFM: My surgery was moved up! I'm off the bench. I'm going in on Monday, and then (hopefully) will do my first FET next cycle, in November!

QOTW: Wine! I often skip dessert in favour of a glass (or 2) of wine. But if I were to opt for both, sticky toffee pudding is right up there!

@msstephanielynn I hope your surgery went well!  I also use the Ovia app; I like it a bit more than FF.  :)

@SoontobeMommaHowe FX for your adoption process--that's so wonderful!

@funkykey good luck in your surgery; that's great!

AFM, I think I'm out this month.  RE put me on the highest dose of Femara in hopes that my body would respond better than it did to Clomid, but I never got a positive OPK.  While it's technically possible that I missed it, I was checking 2x/day during the FW, and I never got anything.  My temp spiked on Tuesday, so there's that.  We'll find out for sure when they test my progesterone on Monday.

I'm trying to keep my chin up, treat it like a "rest month," and not get too bent out of shape over it.  Better we know if it doesn't work at all than spend several months trying to get it to work.  Not sure what the next step would be.

QOTW: Is cherry pie a Fall dessert?  I would eat it all year round if I could get away with it.  Or cherry cobblers or cherry dump cake.  Also (I'm ashamed) I'm on my second bag of candy corn this season.  I just can't help myself, man.  I know it's gross, but I just keep eating it.   :s

@msstephanielynn I hope your surgery went well today!  I just found out this afternoon that I will have my septum removed on November 8th (my RE only does surgeries one day a month, and she's already booked for October) she wants me to wait for 2 months after the surgery before we move forward with attempting to get pregnant so I'll be out for the rest of the year.

@soontobemommahowe thanks for getting things started this week!  That is great news about being so close to getting a little one placed with you.  Fingers crossed you are chosen.

@funkykey happy your surgery was moved up, let us know how it goes!

AFM- I got a second opinion on Monday and while she didn't give me anything revolutionary it was nice to have another educated voice add to the conversation.  The few key takeaways she gave me is that I should never transfer more than one embryo given my genetic issues that mean a higher likelihood of genetically abnormal embryos which means a higher chance of miscarriage.  She also said we really need to get the embryos tested to see where we should go next.  I gave in and signed the consent yesterday to get our remaining for 4 embryos tested.  I'm not super comfortable with it but I understand why it's important to do.  So a shorter version of my update would have been we are in the waiting game right now and I'm not really sure what's next.

Fall Dessert- Cider Mill Donuts are the best this time of the year.  Not really a dessert but a sweet treat so it counts.

    Hey everyone :)
fx for everyone having surgery, and CONGRATS!! to @SoonToBeMommaHowe :)

    AFM:
I have my RE appointment tomorrow! It's been 3 weeks since my d&c, so I'm hoping I'll be able to go on Provera to get a cycle started then get back onto the letrozole. We've been BDing the last week or so, but with my crazy irregular cycles its more for us than to TTC ;)

    QOTW: Favorite fall dessert?
Firstly I had to good to see what apple crisp is haha. It looks the same as apple crumble, which is delicious :)
Its spring here, and quite warm already, but honestly all desserts make me happy :D
Also, I had no idea that pumpkin was eaten as a sweet food is the US.. Sounds crazy over here :P

@soehlerk - I'm sorry about the no + OPK. Ugh. I found the OPKs very stressful, particularly when combined with IUI - at the end, I was just having blood tests done. It sucked - they've taken so much blood from me! - but it was way less stressful than peeing on 3 different brands of OPK, 3x a day, wondering if/when I was going to miss something - or like just staring: "Is that line darker, or is it the same color?"

@Worldtravler0522 - When will you have your test results back? Glad you got a second opinion.

@SoonToBeMommaHowe - GREAT NEWS!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! Are you on any boards? Just thinking if you are on the adoption thread, I may stalk it. ;) I want updates! xoxo

@emmasemm - OMG, your beta is so soon! FX!

AFM: just waiting for the surgery. I'm a little nervous and scared - I hate going under general - but it'll be nice when it's done.

CONGRATULATIONS @SoontoBeMommaHowe!!! That is such wonderful news!!

@worldtravler0522 I'm glad you got a 2nd opinion. Even if it was nothing earth shattering, it sounds like it was worth it. Good luck with the testing; I hope to hear good results!

@tops-2 Hooray for getting started again!

@marfi236 I'm sorry you have to wait yet another cycle.  :s

@msstephanielynn I'm so glad your surgery went well! What a relief!

@tops-2 yay for getting the ball rolling for a new cycle. The waiting part of this process can Ben so frustrating. Ummm have you've never experienced a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie?!?! They aren't heavenly!

@funkykey  woohoo for being off the bench! I'm not on any other boards, they're so quiet it actually frustrates me to keep checking them and see no updates, lol.

Thank you ladies for the support! I honestly didn't know how I'd feel or if it would click right away but we had an overnight visit and DH and I are both over the moon ❤️ When we Started this process I thought adopting would feel like giving up on having bio kids but literally I felt like they he was meant to be part of our family, no doubts at all.

Alright now for This is Us :)

Waiting patiently for Thursday for my blood test to determine if this cycle worked. Debating whether I'm going to take a home test before so I have an idea of what to expect because I work all day Thursday so I don't know if I will be able to answer the phone. But I found out my progesterone was good this month so between that, ovulating and my fi sperm count being significantly higher then previously I'm hoping for good news.

@SoonToBeMommaHowe Nope! Never. Chocolate and pumpkin together sound awful to me haha. Over here pumpkin is really only used in things like roasts and soup.. Savoury dinner foods. Never sweet things.

@msstephanielynn I'm not 100% sure why, I think she wants to make sure it heals fully.  It's not a huge deal for my case as after the septum removal we're going to be moving to IVF and we can't start that until after the first of the year (when I switch over to hub's insurance) but if I were moving on to another IUI cycle I would be a little disappointed!

    Newbie here!

    TTC 2.5 years.

Initially diagnosed with unexplained infertility,  but after yesterday it looks more like I may be having anovulatory cycles (plus DH has a slightly low count)

Was on 7.5mg letrozole,  2mg estradiol 2x/day, and ovidrel trigger,  but after a midcycle US with zero follicles yesterday I'm waiting for new plan.  Likely injectables and/or IUI.  Not sure I'll g egg AF this cycle if I'm not going to O?

Anyway,  glad to join! Need to vent to someone other than my poor DH.  He was at appointment with me yesterday and has been trying to figure out both how he feels and how to comfort me since.
