  We didn’t go to the concert and are all fine. So far we don’t know anyone who was actually there when it happened. We had friends who were at the concert but had to leave early because their babysitter had school today—they had backstage passes so they were fortunate.
  So many people have stepped today to help by giving blood or dropping off food, supplies and donations. These are the things that give me hope for our world and our children.

  My dad lives there and works events like this. He thankfully chose to work the hockey game vs this event. He is ok, sadly 8 of his co-workers who were working the concert have not been accounted for yet.

  @riansmommie omg. That’s awful. Thinking of his coworkers this morning. 
  
  MH found out this morning that a friend from high school and college was there but he fortunately wasn’t shot. He wrote about his experience and reading it... I can’t imagine. I will never understand.

  Just wanted to throw out there...  if anyone knows someone who was there or involved, please please please encourage them to get some help from a critical incident counselor or therapist. Even if they feel fine now, or start to feel fine in a few days - they need to talk to someone. I'm certified in critical incident stress management and on the team at the police dept I work for, and it's so crucial to get help or just get things off your chest with someone who knows how to handle these incidents before it's too late and you require more intensive therapy or treatment to move past something like this. I'd be happy to find someone certified locally if anyone needs it.
