Hold my hand

I feel like this may need a TW but I’m not exactly sure the classification. TW possible impending loss?? 

Had my 1st US sound and it’s not great. Baby had a hb but is measuring about 1 week behind. Based on when we had sex, there’s no way that the baby is 6 weeks along rather than 7. I rescan in 2 weeks. 

So, hold my hand. Tell me it will be okay no matter what. This has 2 possible outcomes and I know which is the more likely of the two. Even then,  I haven’t given up so if you have stories that start like this and turn out okay, I’d appreciate them.

    No stories, but all the love. Ultrasounds can certainly be off by a few days, and a heartbeat is a great sign! Best of luck, try to relax, and hold strong. There's nothing to do now but keep hopeful and wait

    I also don't have any experiences to share, but I'll be thinking about you and hoping for the best. Ultrasounds can definitely be off.

    Hugs lady. I'm in the same/ similar situation except for 1 week behind mine was 2. What was the HB measuring? I go back in 2 weeks (4 weeks from my apt) and am hopeful all will be ok. I also don't agree with their date based on sono, and know they can be off. Just wanted to let you know you're not alone. Try and stay positive.

    I don’t know what the hb was at. We’ll hold hand together and hope for the best. <3

    The scan can be a few days off too. I was 12 days off and ovulated late. Everything looks good even though it doesn't make sense.  <3 we're all here to hold your hand

    Medical tech is not perfect, but what it does say is you are pregnant.  So hugs to you and it will be ok no matter what.

    My last pregnancy I knew exactly when I ovulated (mettleschmerz cramps or however it's spelled) and we only DTD once that month because I had been sick with a cold. At the ultrasound they told me I was measuring 9 days behind that. When I went for the nuchal translucency screen at a specialist (a month and a half later!) they told me it was too late because I was too far along, and my due date got switched to exactly when I had known it was.

    Yes this!! I went in last Friday thinking I was 7 weeks exactly. Then my doctor said it's measuring at exactly 6 weeks, I said there's no way I know what days we had sex, he agreed to measure again, zoomed in more, clicked around and said "oh looks like it's measuring at 6 weeks and 4 days. I didn't measure correctly." Still not the 7 weeks like I thought but that extra mm he missed the first time added 4 days!

    I had an ultrasound that was a week off. That little girl is now a healthy 6 year old. I wouldn't worry about it. I have a love hate relationship with ultrasounds. I've had various "false alarms" because of routine ultrasounds, and they caused me significant anxiety while pregnant.

    U/s are the devil. We also had a "false alarm" that I'll likely get into later on but i now dread them when they are supposed to be a happy time.

    Ovulation can be wonky, the measuring can be wonky, and throw in some stress and I'm sure this is all scary. BUT... you have a heartbeat! And at this stage, that's really the only "confirmation" you can get of health. SO, congrats on your baby. No matter what happens, this board is great support!!

    Thinking of you. I have had 2 early scans because of scares. They were measuring at least 2 days different. They told me the scan is only accurate to 3-4 days at this stage. I agree with others that you may have ovulated a few days after you think and that would combine to make up the time.

    even with the 12 week scans for ds1 and ds2, they were off by a couple of days as they were giving me dates before I could possibly have conceived!

    I had an u/s Friday at the hospital in fetal imaging and was told I was measuring right on (7w 6d). I had another u/s today in my OB's office that said I was measuring 7w4d. My OB immediately told me not to freak out that my baby hasn't grown in the last couple days. She said their equipment isn't as good plus it was an abdominal u/s not vaginal and if I was concerned they could do a vaginal scan to get more accurate.
