Question: Have you been able to successfully manipulate FET timeline?

Hi everyone: So, the way things are going with this FET cycle (cycle #2 for us), it looks like my transfer date falls on a REALLY bad day to not be at work (big event, no backup staff).

Has anyone ever pushed their FET date out by triggering later in order to avoid vacations/weddings/weekdays, etc? Even if just by one day? I triggered 9 days after my period last time and if I can do it at 10 days this time, it would be so much better for everyone :)

Re: Question: Have you been able to successfully manipulate FET timeline?

  • @sarcasticowl they let me pick my FET date once my lining was ready to go. I just had to select a day and then start PIO injections 6 days before that. Is that maybe something you could ask your RE's office about?

  • @20T That is fantastic news, thank you!
  • Fingers crossed that will solve the problem @sarcasticowl!!
  • For a medicated FET cycle you can select your day and push things around. If you’re not doing medicated FET, I think it might be more difficult. But maybe just triggering later would do the trick.

  • @prudence9-2 This is a medicated cycle, yup! I do five days of Letrozole starting on day 3, then usually trigger and begin Lovenox and Estrace at first lining check (day 10). I'm hoping I can trigger two days later and then two days after that begin PIO. Somewhere back in the dusty recesses of my mind I seem to remember our nurse asking what day would work for us for the transfer but you know how, when you're there in the office with a billion things running through your mind and you only half pay attention and half remember what they're saying? Totally me every time.
  • @sarcasticowl My dr only did transfers on Friday's so there wasn't any flexibility for me but if your dr does them everyday I don't see why they wouldn't be open to moving it a day or 2. good luck!!

  • @sarcasticowl talk to your clinic. They will probably change your calendar to match your schedule.

In my clinic for medicated FETs there are no weekend appts. So everything is adjusted to be a week day... so I think it won’t be an issue. Just tell them ASAP so they’d adjust your calendar.

  • Thanks guys! Wow, I can't imagine only having one day for transfers, but that must mean that most people have to have their cycles manipulated in one way or another to all be ready on the same day. Good to know!
  • @sarcasticowl yeah it's super annoying but he's only in the hospital that 1 day a week so he only cycles 3-4 girls per week. He had a solo practice but super busy so that's really the only way he could keep everyone on schedule and linked up.
