I actually just saw a thread in another BMB that was a civilized discussion even though people disagreed. (I know! I was as shocked as you!) I just told DH that if we have a boy he needs to make the decision.

One of my close friends has a son who is now 2. I have been with her on multiple occasions where people- and we're talking strangers here- ask her if he is circumcised. It unfortunately doesn't stop after baby is born.

My friend got so fed up that she started answering this question by saying: "Are you a pedophile? Because I can't think of one good reason you should be thinking about my son's private parts." They shut up and leave really fast. I'm totally doing this if this baby is a boy. Because she has a great point, and people need to realize how completely inappropriate it is to ask about anyone's privates. Period.

I was so shocked I was just like "oh I haven't given it any thought" and one them replied with "people usually do whatever the dad is, not that I'm asking". Okay but you sort of are and it weird! It won't be a question I will be answering unless it's my DH or doctor asking!

I don't think anyone (with the exception of my best friend) asked what we were planning with DS1 or with this LO, and nobody has asked or commented on it since DS1 was born. I would be shocked/horrified/instantly overcome with pregnancy rage if that happened!

This weekend I was visiting my best friend to see her baby and her sister and sister's husband were in town too. Husband is European and he got really heated about Americans circumcising because some EU health organization (sounds like the equivalent of our NIH) said it's not necessary and he went off about ethics, cruelty, health, etc. I told him (tongue in cheek) that in 'Merica we have the freedom to do what we want. Because bald eagles.

So our oldest pup was scheduled to get a dental cleaning today. Been on the calendar for weeks. Halfway to work DH texts me and says we forgot Hoagie's dental. Was about to turn around and get him when I realized he ate breakfast so they can't do it today. Total dog mom fail. Got it rescheduled for Monday but they were giving 25% off bc September is canine dental awareness month. Hoping the vet takes pity on us and still let's us have the discount.

What the crap? People actually ask about your child's genitalia? SMH. I hope no one asks us this with the boys. I had a girl last time and so this hadn't even crossed my mind. Thanks for the heads up.

I have had a lot of questions before we found out the sex of the twins. After we told people they were identical, they would say "maybe you will
get a boy and a girl!" Um, well they are identical.....so yeah they will be the same sex.

My WTF for this week: In laws have apparently been talking about us (me being pregnant) for months. (We announced Sunday). I am livid and feel so uncomfortable, especially given how they were when DD2 was born. They haven’t said anything to DH. No calls or texts or anything. Just to each other and MIL. Stellar. You guys learned nothing from when we had DD2.

@chucksmom15 Our vet does that discount in October! Although if it's for the awareness month he didn't mention it. You should point that every month should be Dental Awareness Month, for the sake of the dogs' health! Therefore, discount.

I think it's a tactic bc they do the same in February. But that is an expensive procedure so we just nod our heads and take the discount.

That is still very strange responses. I do not post often at all either and all my comments were they typical responses you would expect. There was one weird one. It was along the lines of, "I did not know you were trying again." We weren't and they knew that. I am not talking about my sex life and birth control on FB though. Why anyone would write WTF is beyond me.

circumcision was a hot topic in both of my son's baby month boards. It was nuts (pun intended ha). Anyway, I like the response from above asking if the person is a pedophile. I mean who thinks that is an acceptable thing to ask?!

I was always shocked by the random people that would come up to my shopping cart when the boys were covered in their car seats and just reach over to "take a peek". I learned quickly how to move the cart or position myself in front of the carseat.

My WTF Wednesday goes out to croup... seriously... why are you messing with my little guy?

It's early in your pregnancy. It will slow down the father in your pregnancy you get.

This is how I feel. This is my first baby so I have nothing to compare it to, but I couldn't get off the couch last night and my bump is still pretty small and manageable. I will say that I tried the snoogle again and for the past two nights I had more decent sleep than I've been getting.

Internet service was restored 45 min. ago, but now I'm not getting cell reception!! Grrrrr.....
Also, I'm 19w+6. All of my cravings up to this point have been for sweets and baked goods. Last night my body did a 180 and all I want is salt and vinegar, specifically cheese and pickles. I feel like a walking cliche.
