1. 21 weeks, an endive? or a carrot. Who comes up with these?
2. Feeling pretty good this week actually. Super hungry.
3. Got to hear baby's heartbeat last week which is always nice, and found out I have an anterior placenta. I think it's high though because I have been getting plenty of kicks, just low and on the sides.
4. I think the actual birth process is currently making me the most nervous, followed very closely by the dreaded "first 3 months" of no sleep. I'm trying to learn more because that usually helps me calm down.
5. My husband has been very supportive, and gets really excited when he can feel kicks from the LO. My mom is going through menopause currently and is being surprisingly difficult despite her usually calm demeanor. Hopefully she gets over it soon... only one of us can be hormonal right now and I call dibs!
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 19 weeks and baby is the size of a zucchini
2) How are you feeling?
Today was rough. Everyone around me has sinus infections and I am afraid I'm catching one. Otherwise I'm finally starting to feel less nauseous and less sore
3) Any appointments this week/last?
Anatomy scan tomorrow!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
DH has been traveling a lot for work lately but will be home this week so we may be able to get some work done moving the guest room so I can start working on the baby's room!
5) GTKY: How has your partner or other family members been responding to your pregnancy so far?
So far everyone has been great after their initial disappointed reactions to this baby being a boy. I am getting sick of hearing how chaotic things are going to be with 3 boys.
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 19 weeks. Size of a mango.
2) How are you feeling?
A bit lightheaded at times. And I've been getting headaches which is probably due to lack of sleep.
3) Any appointments this week/last?
No. I have two weeks until the anatomy scan.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I apologize in advance for this long rant. I'm am super stressed this week. My midwife put me on an aspirin regimen because she felt the placenta might not be providing enough which is making me worried. My babysitting plan for my older kids got messed up because our neighbors that we share with decided to move and taking the babysitter with them. I can't find a speech therapist to replace the one that couldn't do it once my son's schedule had to change. And my 7yr old has 3 cavities all in his adult molars so I have to find a pediatric dentist to fill them.
5) GTKY: How has your partner or other family members been responding to your pregnancy so far?
My kids are excited. My husband is mostly worried about the financial aspect of having a third.
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 21 weeks. Size of an endive whatever that is!
2) How are you feeling?
Other than a slowly growing belly and having to pee more often, I feel like a normal person.
3) Any appointments this week/last?
I had my anatomy scan yesterday and a normal appointment today.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Rant/question: Why is it okay for Doctors to leave a message if they don't have a callback number?! At least say something other than I want to go over your ultrasound with you! I've been nervous/scared since last night when I just barely missed the call and am having to wait until my appointment this morning to reconfirm that everything is okay. I get they have to leave a message but it would be nice to know whether worrying is actually called for. I don't want to talk anyone and then it be a false alarm. Thanks for being here ladies!!
5) GTKY: How has your partner or other family members been responding to your pregnancy so far?
I have gotten a lot of "you know how that happens right?" responses but they have all been followed by happiness from my family. My Husband is very excited and I am actually sending him a box to reveal the gender to him!
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 19 Weeks. Mango or Pomegranate
2) How are you feeling? Tired. I keep not falling to sleep until late and it's making me cranky.
3) Any appointments this week/last? None. My next appts are mid October for a level 2 anatomy scan and OB visit. I'm pretty anxious for the A/S to see if everything is alright.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? My husband's coworker dropped off a large bag of 3 month old clothes from her son and they are ADORABLE and soo tiny!
(And Rant... still no kicks. Pretty sure my placenta must be anterior because all 3 of my other babies I could feel way earlier.)
5) GTKY: How has your partner or other family members been responding to your pregnancy so far? My husband has been amazing and doing so much around the house and with the other kids. My sister is throwing us a shower on my birthday which is so sweet. Most everyone else is kind of hands off... I think since it's my #4, they're not really overly excited, just happy and waiting for baby time.
1. I'm finally half way! 20 weeks size of a banana.
2. Still having hip pains and can't sleep terribly well at night.
3. I have my A/S on Friday. So excited to find out what my little potato is!
4. What are the best resources for figuring out what to put on the baby registry? And is there a particular site you trust for reviews on baby products?
5. My family and my in-laws are all super excited. They've all been waiting for this for a while. And DH is really excited too, he really like rubbing my belly even though he can't feel baby yet.
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 21 weeks! Endive
2) How are you feeling? Physically good beyond some insomnia and hip pain. I’ve been having a hard time mentally lately as it gets more real and just dealing with some added life stress right now
3) Any appointments this week/last? Nothing this week, routine physical next week
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? How do you deal with stress/anxiety? Life is a bit hard right now being out of a job, worrying about money, and now my husband has had a health scare which involves all this testing and the doctors being like welllll it could be nothing or it could be bad. It’s either nothing at all or the worst thing possible. No in between.
I used to be on medication for panic attacks but haven’t had any in years but in the last week I’ve been feeling that panic creeping in and I’m just not sure how to deal.
5) GTKY: How has your partner or other family members been responding to your pregnancy so far? Husbands been great. He’s so excited we’re having a girl. He randomly just stops what he’s doing and turns to me and goes ‘sweetie we’re having a girl!’ And it’s the cutest thing ever. Family is excited but they are all 2-3 hours away so we don’t see much of them to gauge their excitement beyond the occasional phone call if they bring something up.
@3plus1equals4 turns out my worry was somewhat worth it. I have a low lying placenta. The doc said its nothing super concerning yet and she doesn't want to classify it as placenta previa yet. I am now on pelvic rest not that I was doing anything as far as using my pelvis goes.
1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 18 weeks - artichoke?
2) How are you feeling? Still so tried. And honestly just crumby this week, idk why
3) Any appointments this week/last? Had an appt at the clinic I will be transferred to when We move. I guess I didn't get the best feeling, not sure if I really liked the midwife I met with...hubby says it's just because I love my midwife so much and know her so well now, idk. Bummed to be transferred but I don't want to drive so far for appointments and to deliver if I don't have to. Especially right after baby is born, I don't want to sacrifice my home visits.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
5) GTKY: How has your partner or other family members been responding to your pregnancy so far?
Every one is looking forward to the new baby and supportive of course. But it's just not the same feeling as with my first. Lol It is sooooo silly but I just don't feel as special! Like I know people care but I don't really feel it. even I forget I'm pregnant most days.
@gymmonkey95 hope everything goes okay mama! Rest up
@pandappanderson the anxiety and stress is so hard. I don't have much advice because let's be honest, I don't deal with it very well! Having a friend to talk to really helps though. I really hope your hubby is okay, that just sounds like the worst to have to deal with
@gymmonkey95 I had my anatomy scan today and also have a low lying placenta. I'm on pelvic rest as well. My doctor and the ultrasound tech said usually at the follow up scan in about 4 weeks the placenta has moved since the uterus keeps growing. So I'm trying not to worry
@gymmonkey95@hms1219 Hopefully both of yours move further up. Had to lol at the pelvic rest even though you weren't using it much. Mine might as well be on rest for how often we do it, too.
