"There are many causes of infertility in men and women. Share with the class some of the common explanations for each gender. How does infertility affect the man and woman emotionally? What are some alternative options for people who are coping with infertility issues?"
I forced myself to keep it short and as difficult as it was, I am glad that I was able to talk about my issues and raise awareness! There are two others in my class who are also/ have struggled with all of this.
I know I haven't been around much, **TW** still emotionally raw from my loss in July, but doing better. My dad completed his chemo and radiation and was supposed to have surgery this Friday. He had a heart attack last night. Being 3000 miles away from my family sucks big time but my mom and sisters are keeping me updated. He had an EKG today that did not show signs of his heart attack because of how quickly they got him to the hospital. He has a full blockage of his coronary artery. They put him on blood thinners and put in a stent. He is in the ICU but will hopefully be able to go home sometime tomorrow or Wednesday. It sure seems like when it rains it pours!
I also wanted to take a second to tell each one of you how much I appreciate you! I know I don't always post on the check in's and address each of you, but I do keep up with what is going on! Thank you for your support. I hate that we have to go through this, but I can't think of a better group of people to go through it with!
Re: Rough week...
I understand your crappy week
I completely agree about this group - everyone is so wonderful and I'm so glad I found this page too
I hope things start looking up for you soon @eranvo27 - I really do

@tops-2 I'm sorry about the news from your SIL. I mean, good for her of course, but oh the timing! *TW* I told DH and a friend--who knows what we're going through and has been very supportive--that i couldn't be happy for another friend who just got KU and I didn't even feel bad about it, and they both affirmed that was ok. *TW Not that that's necessarily how you feel, but if it is, it's ok.
I would NOT do well with that question. I'd be like: "WTF is that supposed to mean? Are you just going to suggest adoption, Einstein?" I'm irritated just thinking about what other people might say, given the wording of that question. Clearly, whoever wrote it was not thinking: "Well, first you try to actively treat whatever is causing the issue, before you start looking at alternative options." Nope - just skipped straight to Z, and over all the "coping" you have to do while you're actively trying and failing. Ugh!
I'm sorry for the class, and your dad, and your still-raw loss. IF is BRUTAL.
