Re: 1st Trimester check in- Week of September 18
1. How far along are you? What is your EDD?
They changed it at my last appointment based on LMN instead of conception so April 24th and 8w6D
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having?
The worst nausea and vomiting, almost went to the ER last night. Its all i can do to show for work every morning and make it through the day
3. When is your next appointment?
Just had my first OB/midwive appointment last week. Baby is actually measuring 9w2d. Next one is 5 weeks from now
4. Anything else you'd like to share?
I want to feel better. Nothing sounds or tastes good. I am already over the ginger. Crackers are most of what i eat during the day but they are making me sick now too. I worried about the nutrition this baby is getting but I'm trying
QOTW: Are you doing the genetic/nuchal screening?
My midwife said most people do this. I'm only on the fence about it because I don't know how much insurance will charge me since I have PPO, and we already did pre genetic screening with RE so I know there isn't any genetic issues. I know Down's and other chromosomal issues aren't part of the genetic screening I did before but I'm not sure its worth doing just for that? I'd like some opinions or experiences shared!
2. Currently, my only symptoms are being tired and sore nipples. No more morning sickness/nausea!! Please everyone knock on wood with me!!
3. I had a secondary U/S today with my RE, measuring a day ahead. Next OB appt scheduled 9/29.
4. My RE discussed concerns from first U/S. There were two "SCH" in two separate areas notated by the radiologist at my primary clinic. One dissolved completely. The other was a swollen vessel. The main blood vessel that supplies our wiggle worm. I'm a bit worried to use my primary clinic at this point in time.
QOTW: Are you doing the genetic/nuchal screening (I ask because I'm not sure and want to hear opinions!)
I am completing the screens recommended by my OB. I completed genetic screens prior to fertility treatments when IVF was our main plan. Sperm donor candidates are also screened for genetic malformations, so I feel we are good in this department.
I just paid for my second U/S out of pocket and I know I don't want to do that again. RE wants to do one more...
6 weeks today!! 5/15/18
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having?
Not much... it's making me nervous. I have been extra hungry, and today I've felt a little nauseous, but not enough to cause vomiting fortunately. I'm nervous because my bloating went away and my boobs aren't as sore as they first were after my transfer. DH says its because my body is getting used to the pregnancy hormones, but I think it's a bit too early for that.
3. When is your next appointment?
1 week!!! We had to wait until 7 weeks for our first ultrasound and I'm dying! I want to see this little on with my own eyes and it will feel much more real.
4. Anything else you'd like to share?
QOTW: Are you doing the genetic/nuchal screening (I ask because I'm not sure and want to hear opinions!)
We will get info from our doctor at our 8 week visit, but probably won't pursue any genetic testing. I had a blood screen for several genetic conditions (cystic fibrosis ect) before we started IVF and I'm not a carrier of any of them. We would never abort a downs baby, or any other condition so, we'd rather not know.

I got my first ever migraine and UTI last week, both were pretty awful. Other than that I've been feeling ok besides some occasional trapped gas and mild nausea.
3. When is your next appointment?
Tomorrow! I have an ultrasound with my RE. Nervous but excited.
4. Anything else you'd like to share?
This will be my first baby
QOTW: Are you doing the genetic/nuchal screening (I ask because I'm not sure and want to hear opinions!)
Probably only if insurance pays for them
@tinosm Congratulations on your little bundle!! May then next 9 months be easier than the process of getting pregnant. Motherhood can be so breathtaking! We have a 10 year old with secondary MFI.
9wk 4 days. April 22nd
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having?
Tiredness, frequent peeing, and tender breast
3. When is your next appointment?
9/27 last appt with RE and 9/28 appt with Obgyn
4. Anything else you'd like to share?
Had my 1st appt with my MFM and all went well. Baby was wiggling around and hb 173. Measured 9wk 4 days ☺
QOTW: Are you doing the genetic/nuchal screening?
Yes, I am. My insurance covers it and even though the results won't change my mind or love for my baby I would just like to be prepared just in case.
