Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? Everything is going pretty well at the moment--DD is taking more steps (usually only 5 at a time til she goes back to crawling). She has a bit of a stuffy nose, so hopefully that will clear up soon. Still having moments of, "how will we do this with two?!" but overall, pretty good
Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM : DD is getting more affectionate; she is usually go-go-go, squirming to get off laps, etc, but lately she will come over and hug me or lean on me, so just excited to have 2 to cuddle.

GTKY: Okay, ladies, we're getting closer to the point where freezer meal prep will be happening. What's your favorite make-ahead meal? I'll probably make a separate post for this when we get closer, because making freezer meals ahead was a lifesaver last time. Chicken pot pie freezes well, but I made a ton of different casseroles--Chicken Divan, enchiladas, several from Pioneer Woman and Smitten Kitchen. Also, lactation cookies were great to have in the freezer and eat one-handed! This time, I also plan to make some different meatballs/fritters for DD.

DS is 19 months
Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now?
We just got back from a trip out east to visit family, and it was like DS's development took leaps and bounds during the trip! Just all of the new environments and people and experiences, he learned SO many new words (too many to count!) and is just getting even more independent.
Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM:
Seeing DS play with his cousins just made me so excited to give him a sibling to play with. I just kept thinking, he is SO easy right now, we just have to get through ~18 months with the next one and we'll be on easy street! haha
Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions/
It's so chilly and rainy here this week... I LOVE IT! All of the leaves are turning already (though that's because it's been painfully dry all summer, not so much about fall, but I don't care!) I can finally bust out my maternity wardrobe from DS that was primarily winter wear and I am just overall happy!
GTKY: Okay, ladies, we're getting closer to the point where freezer meal prep will be happening. What's your favorite make-ahead meal?
Oh good Q @cait5413! I did a swiss cheese chicken casserole with DS that was SUPER easy and tasty, though more on the processed side. I also made chicken pot pies which were delish and easy (hint if you use canned mushroom soup instead of sauce they are just as good and way easier!). I've also been making a lot of soup, so every time I make a giant pot and freeze whatever's left after dinner, makes freezer prep super easy! I will also probably premake a bunch of lactation cookies (and other cookies). Cabbage rolls are also super great in the freezer - BUT with DS he could not tolerate it when I ate cabbage and BF him, he got WAY too gassy, so I probably won't do those. Maybe some lasagna or shepherds pies too? We will probably order 1/2 a cow too because I find if I have a freezer full of meat it makes it easier to plan meals.
How far along are you? Boy/Girl/ Team Green/Surprise? green here! 26.5 weeks!
How old are your other kids? The twins are 14 months old!
Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? We are still on the team no walkers yet. They cruise furniture, with their walkers, take a step or two and then just sit down. They also climb on everything. They have no fear. So i'm just patiently waiting for them to walk one of these days.
Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM : I'm starting to really freak out that we wont be able to handle 3 under 2.
Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions/ It looks like we are starting to build our house in November. I am aware we are nuts. We live in a 700 sq foot apartment currently and the boys sleep in the living in their cribs. The baby will be in our room, but it's going to be super loud in there when it starts crying and the boys are trying to sleep.
GTKY: Okay, ladies, we're getting closer to the point where freezer meal prep will be happening. What's your favorite make-ahead meal? I have absolutely no time to cook now. I don't know how anyone has time to cook when they work full time and have more than one kid at home. If someone has any ideas, please enlighten me. By the time I get done with work at 4:30, pick the boys up at 5, get home. I have about 20 minutes to get them something to eat. There is absolutely no time to meal prep. The other problem I face is when they nap their cribs are in the living room which is 2 steps to the kitchen, so I can't cook meals then... Any one have any crock pot dump recipes that require no prior cooking?
How old are your other kids? about 18 months
Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? DS isn't talking at all yet so I've been semi-worried about that. We have his next checkup Friday so if any kind of intervention is necessary I'd just like to get a head start on that since we are really getting close to d-day.
Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM : I bought DS a baby doll and he's been really cute with it. Makes my heart smile.
Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions/ I just can't believe I'm going to be in my third tri this month. Pregnancy has FLOWN by this time around and I am starting to get kind of nervous!
GTKY: Okay, ladies, we're getting closer to the point where freezer meal prep will be happening. What's your favorite make-ahead meal? Ummmmm totally going to be deferring to your faves because I am a scrub in the kitchen. I will for sure be making enchiladas to freeze as I think they reheat super well and they are delicious.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions/
The heartburn is real. Last night I got it from drinking water. Plain, cold water. Grrr...
GTKY: Okay, ladies, we're getting closer to the point where freezer meal prep will be happening. What's your favorite make-ahead meal?
We decided to go with Blue Apron or Hello Fresh for a few months when the baby comes. We're encouraging family and friends to put money toward those instead of freezer meals which tend to be a bit heavy, in my opinion. I'm excited to have fresh food with no grocery shopping and less prep time.
@andipandicWed121369 water is actually really easy to reflux. I get a lot of heartburn when I drink a lot of water without eating anything. We like HelloFresh better than Blue Apron, but if you haven't used any of these services before, my recommendation is to find all the promo codes and use a different service each week. Most of these will give you your first box at 1/2 price. Blue Apron, hello fresh, plated, homechef, green chef... So if you don't get a lot of gift cards for them, this helps stretch a buck. If you need discounts, I probably have referral codes for most of these--we only use them when we can get a discount, so I have tried almost all of them!

Just continuing the sleep issue but it has gotten slightly better. We are moving next week so that's when the real struggle to get him to sleep in his own room will begin.
Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM :
Just loving how excited DS is about his little brother. I hope it lasts lol

Rant: I cannot find our infant car seat anywhere and I totally based which double stroller to get on one that would work with that particular car seat. I think DH may have accidentally thrown it out when he cleaned out the basement a few months ago but he swears he didn't.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions/ Ummm. Not too much. Except I am so tired of people (strangers and people that know me, both) feeling like there's nothing wrong with telling me I'm enormous. RUDE AF PEOPLE. STOP.
GTKY: Okay, ladies, we're getting closer to the point where freezer meal prep will be happening. What's your favorite make-ahead meal?
Well, I loooove spicy. My favorite things to freeze aren't actually casseroles or things with a lot of assembly, they're more in the line of soups, stews, CHILI ALL DAY, spaghetti sauce / other sauces I make from scratch, big batches of things like crockpot / instapot pork tacos (meat only). I do love to make and freeze lasagna and I have an excellent recipe for a casserole that is basically summer squash, spinach, garlic, and sausage and is divine.
But for real. Chili. I make mine with lots of beans.

@darkfrye glad to hear about the good scan
@anewadventure why does anyone think it is ever ok to comment on someone's size? Argh. I am having a sort of opposite problem--apparently the news has not spread as much at work as I thought (I'm on a small college campus, so I thought everyone would know by now), so I keep running into people and mentioning the baby, and they're like, "Really?? I had no idea!" I full-on look pregnant now. Admittedly, DD was born last August, so my weight fluctuated quite a but last year as I lost the baby weight, but I am much bigger than at the end of the spring semester. What do people think, I just put on a ton of weight over the summer? I will probably freeze some ziplocks of chili, now that you mention it--great for the cold weather. DH is not so into soup (i love it), so I am not sure how much of that I'll do.
