I have about 2 hours until I have to leave for work (my first day back after 19 weeks) and my stomach is in knots. It's bittersweet as I think a break from a 2 year old and 4 month old would be nice, I really don't want to be away from them for 10 hours. Since we moved (that'll be a-whole-nother post) my commute is now ~50 min one way. But, I'm staying positive and that drive time will be my "me" time for now.
@mrsrep123 good luck with going back to work! I know it's such a bittersweet feeling, but I hope you have a great day.
Hi everyone! I haven't been around much because it's been a really busy summer. I can't believe it's already September. DD will be 4 months in about a week. She's not the greatest sleeper. She wakes up 2-4 times at night and only takes 30 minute cat naps through out the day, so I'm hoping once she starts solids, her sleeping will become more consistent.
First day back was crazy. My patient care was fine but I was blanking on my documentation and flow. It was painful. Then, MH calls in the middle of my shift and I can hear both kids crying in the background.
I hope today is better.
Add me to the list of the 4 month sleep regression sufferers. Ugh
I guess I am really bored and wanted to check in to see who was still participating in the group. So who has the balls to tell me why I was kicked out of the Facebook group when I was participating weekly?
Question - DS has been eating at 7pm (bed), 10:45 (dreamfeed); and then not again until 6:30ish am. The past 2 nights he hasn't been able to settle and I have fed him around 5-5:30am.

Whaaaaaat?! I was never a part of the FB group but that sounds absurd!
There are a few of us still here... so feel free to "hang out with us here.

Sleep regression? Growth spurt? Something else?
Sounds like the 4 month growth spurt- neurological leap - and sleep regression to me... solidarity!

Yay..... I can't wait for this to pass!!!!
Less than 2 weeks to go here, last night, he was up at 12am, 2:30am, 3:18am, 4:27am and up for the day at 7am, here's hoping for a better night tonight

@mrsrep123 I hope yesterday went a lot smoother than the previous day.
@MTB16 good luck with your transition back to work.
@MrsCPALeslie I'm not part of the FB group but that sounds real crummy. Of course you are more than welcome to participate here. There's only a few of us left, but we still have one weekly thread going on.
For everyone going through the 4 month sleep regressions, I hope they are quick and sleep gets better soon.
@mrsrep123, I hope day 2 back at work goes smoothly for you!
@MoshiMoshi7, mine has been waking up like crazy throughout the night for the past month!
@mtbtojse, I would guess growth spurt or 4 month regression as well. I'm hoping that's what we've been going through with DD but combined with her learning to roll at only 2 months, it's been rough.
@MrsCPALeslie, I am not on the FB group but sorry that happened to you.
We had a fairly decent night last night. It started off with a million wake ups but from 2-7 she did decent so I'm trying to look at the positive side. She slept only in her sleep sack (no magic Merlin suit) and though she rolled around a lot, she only woke herself up once outside of her usual two middle of the night feedings so it was a huge improvement for us.
DH: 34/Me: 35 Married: Feb 2008 DD: June 2011 TTC# 2: April 2014 BFP!! 8/29/16 --> EDD: 5/11/17....it's a GIRL!!!
Haven't had any sleep regression here, but DS has become like clockwork for his night and morning routine which can be both nice and a bit annoying when I'm tired.
Anyone else's LO started the stage where they're tired, but want to be up?...I feel like I have to trick DS to sleep durine the day because he'll be crabby and overtired but fighting his hardest to stay awake.
@mrsrep123 How is your transition back to work going as of now? It sounds like you had a couple of rough days so FX it's going smother now.
@MrsCPALeslie That's crappy, I'm not a part of the FB group, but if you find out why they booted you, I'm curious about why.
@OmegaRose3 I'm officially back next Monday, so this week has been all prep calls and scheduling meetings before my return. Even justdoing this little bit makes me so incredibly sad to leave DS!
I just wanted to share that after 6 months, DD is finally on a growth curve chart She is in the 2nd percentile, but she is on a chart. The doctor said that some preemies can take 1-2 years to get on a growth curve so we are very thankful.
Thanks everyone for being so welcoming. I'm not mad at all about the Facebook group. I just want to know why because I definitely participated weekly of some sort whether it was posting a pic, commenting on a thred or commenting on someone's comment. I was just completely shocked. The admins can kiss ass because I don't.
Thanks again ladies. Day 2 was a lot smoother than day 1. I wasn't struggling as much and just texted with MH to avoid the added anxiety until a little more time has passed.
@mcvgal that is super exciting that your DD is finally on the growth curve chart!
@OmegaRose3 how did you guys escaspe this sleep regression? Lucky you... I got super spoiled while Rowan was sleeping TTN and now with my transitioning back to work and our move (still not settled in) he wakes up multiples times per night. It's pretty rough to say the least.
I think my LO had the 4month sleep regression early right at 3 months, hourly wake ups for about 3 weeks. Seems like things are getting back to every 3hours which is much more tolerable. Hang in there ladies, it will pass..
@MrsCPALeslie it seems like they wouldn't kick you out of the group unless there is a reason or it was accidental. Maybe @pshaortao can shed some light on that.
@OmegaRose3 my LO has always fought going to sleep. He is exhausted and can't keep his eyes open but won't go to sleep. Sometimes when we are walking in the stroller his eyes will shut and then he gets mad and cries. It sucks. He's not a very good sleeper.
Hi all! Sorry for being MIA this week. @OmegaRose3 good luck with the move! I hate moving - it'll be so nice to be finished! @lrwardrop the 4-mo regression is truly scaring me. I pray it doesn't hit us too hard. I've become too accustomed to her current night time schedule to go back to hourly wake ups. I'm glad you're coming out the other side! @mcvgal yay for DD! @mrsrep123 I hope work improved for you over the week! @partiallydomesticated hoping that sleep has been better the last few nights.
Its my work weekend which which means I'm working 2 12-hr shifts in a row. Even though I'll be off until Thursday it's the worst. I hate how little I get to see DD. Yesterday was rough so hopefully today is better!
Thinking about it, hoping to lean more towards BLW this time (because I cannot be bothered buying/making baby food lol) going to give it another month or so at least though.

@OmegaRose3 seriously, good luck with the move! Glad the place worked out for you guys!
@ShadeofGreen816 that's definitely a con of the infamous 12-hour shift. I had to change departments and to 8 hour shifts after having DS1. Hope it goes fast for you.
@lrwardrop our pediatrician thinks Rowan is ready for solids. I think Rowan thinks he's ready for solids but I'm not in a rush. We waited until 6 months with DS1...
@lrwardrop we started solids a few weeks ago when DD turned 6 months. We send Gerber baby food to my mom's house during the week, but we just smash up whatever we are eating at home. Her favorite food so far was baby potatoes DH prepared on the grill. I can't believe I had forgotten how much solids will change stools, yuck.
Just wanted to drop in a show some solidarity with you ladies on the 4 month sleep regression! Last night was a total of I think 6 wake ups between 11-5am! Ugh! Debating starting sleep training soon! Before this Jax was sleeping from 6:30-5 no problem!

@PartiallyDomesticated I'm looking I to BLW as well for when DS is ready for solids. I need to do some more research though first.
Hello ladies! I haven't posted in a while but I've been reading posts here regularly. I have a slightly TMI question. I've been EBF DS and I haven't gotten my period yet. DS will be 4 months on Thursday. I've been having some white discharge over the past few days that I haven't had since before DS was born. For those who've already gotten this period again, could you tell you were ovulating/going to get AF or did AF just appear one day?
@luckywife10 I have not started again this time around, but after DS2, when I started I remembered some discharge a week or 2 earlier. It was one of those hindsight moments were I felt I should have realized what was about to happen, but I did not realize it at the time.
Re: Weekly everything 9/11-9/17

I'll pop in later to see how you all are doing.
