Re: Friday Ticker Change | 9.8

  • 1.  How far along are you?  How big is baby? 17 weeks, pomegranate

    2.  How are you feeling?
Bloated after every time I eat, which comes with bouts of nausea. I haven't worked out in two weeks because of this.

    3.  Any appointments coming up?
I had an appointment on Wednesday to test for spina bifida and we heard the heartbeat. That was cool.

    4.  Rants/raves/questions?
Let's talk about our mothers. Every. single. time. I mention something, whether it be a symptom, a test, an appointment, whatever, my mom goes "I don't remember doing that." So this time, after telling her I had a spina bifida test, she goes "I don't remember getting that test!" Well, mom, it was 40 years ago, and I doubt the test even existed. In response my mom goes "Ok, first of all, it was 37 years ago." Because those three years matter. I know she doesn't mean anything by saying she doesn't remember, but every time she says it it sounds like she's doubting what I'm saying, or doubting my doctors, or accusing me of lying (like "Oh you're not really that sick, I don't remember being sick"). I know it's paranoid and I need to stop making such a bad assumption. But could she also just stop saying she doesn't remember?

    5.  GTKY: You're eating a meal and the calories will not count. What are you eating?

I'm eating what I'll be eating on Sunday: Cheese fries with bacon and spicy ranch chicken wings from my favorite bar. If I had room for dessert it'd be a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream.

  •  1.  How far along are you?  How big is baby?
18 weeks- a sweet potato baby
    2.  How are you feeling?
Ohhh the heartburn continues. I think i'm losing weight because eating and drinking ANYTHING makes it worse .... otherwise i feel okay. I had 3 leg cramps wake me up over night-terrible but they passed quickly. Probably can blame dehydration for that  :s
    3.  Any appointments coming up?
Anatomy scan in 1.5 weeks- we will find out if this little baby is a boy or girl!
    4.  Rants/raves/questions?
The weather continues to be mild and cool, which I'm loving.
    5.  GTKY: You're eating a meal and the calories will not count. What are you eating?
Just southern food , period. Take me to a really authentic place and serve me anything- I loved southern food while living south, but OOOF those calories. A lot of butter, cream, and salt.
  • 1.  How far along are you?  How big is baby?
17 weeks! Size of a pomegranate

    2.  How are you feeling?
I've been feeling much better. Just started back at work this week (teacher) and I am exhausted but the nausea is mostly gone! I've been walking about 20-25kms a week which has been so good to help clear my head!

    3.  Any appointments coming up?
Still no appointments until a check up on the 21st

    4.  Rants/raves/questions?
    Nothing this week!

    5.  GTKY: You're eating a meal and the calories will not count. What are you eating?
    Cheesecake!! I love cheesecake!
  • 1.  How far along are you?  How big is baby?  18 weeks, sling shot (though I don't think I've seen a slingshot outside of a Dennis the Menace movie so no idea how big that is)

    2.  How are you feeling?  T
he milllions of times I need to pee at night is killing my sleep.  The nausea is starting to fade.  However, I normally take the train to commute and it makes me feel like shit without fail.  So I've been driving a lot.

    3.  Any appointments coming up?
I have an appt & anatomy scan on 9/26.

    4.  Rants/raves/questions?
My son is in kindergarten and the amount of stuff he gets sent home a day to practice and work on is overwhelming.  He loves school but he is so worn out by the time he gets home.  It's not true homework, but he wants to do it and he gets frustrated.  It makes for some challenging evenings.

    5.  GTKY: You're eating a meal and the calories will not count. What are you eating?
Something fried like cheese curds or mac n cheese balls, or maybe a queso fudido with some warmed brownie and ice cream covered in caramel and hot fudge.
