Then, @sparkymcgeee, prove the negative. Post a link to the scientific article that unequivocally states that the mother can never feel non-hiccup abdominal movement - backed by specific research.
Look, I'm not a mean person. I'm not malicious or vindictive. I'm certainly not a bully and it was pretty passive aggressive and petty to post the poll. If you want to believe you can feel your baby practice breathing in the womb then you go right on an believe that. You'll be wrong your whole life but if you're good with that then you do you.
Also, you'll take my gifs away over my dead body. That's not going to happen. I will always post gifs. SNS
@FrancisD. You could have had a good debate or discussion about whether or not it's true (spoiler: it's not) but starting a poll and calling people bullies is really getting off on the wrong foot.
LOL I'll remind y'all of this thread in about eight weeks when everybody's posting about feeling the first kicks.
Logic dictates that you can't prove a negative. You can argue about what you think is likely, but you can't prove that a woman can't feel her baby's practice breaths.
Are there any scientific studies that specifically say that a woman cannot feel it when a baby's abdomen inflate?
In fact, if you think about the way that babies are balled up, and that their elbows and knees are probably going to be pushed out a little when those round tummies expand, it's hard to believe that there is no woman in the history of humanity who has felt their baby inhale amniotic fluid.
You'd almost have to be trying very, very hard to convince yourself that hundreds of women, whose experiences are available on Google for you to peruse, are all imagining a gentle, rhythmic motion that has been scientifically proven to occur.
I mean if you're trying to tell me you can feel your lemon sized baby kicking around your uterus, I'm not gonna believe that either... Your baby is not gonna be going full tilt Jackie Chan flipping around and doing some crazy nonsense inside there.
There are also hundreds of people whose experiences you can peruse on Google that claim to be psychic, or to have seen/been abducted by aliens, or that Elvis and Michael Jackson are still alive and Paul McCartney is dead, or that the Earth is flat, need I go on? Do you believe all of them, too @FrancisD.?

Also, for anyone wanting to read some really awesome questions- check out the Ovia app and scroll through their community. it's seriously bad.
That's the app I was talking about!! I like the calendar and tracking and stuff but the community.
Yes! I love the weird but cute animals for tracking! But the community... good grief. Here's a little sample for those of you not familiar with their community:
PS I must've clicked on a non-tagged name or something, because I just tried it again and she's still around. Still can't find the exact comment that made me become a little suspicious. Maybe it was just the general tone of all of them put together.

Yesterday I decided I needed to pee on more things because I'm a neurotic mess with PgAL brain. So I got a cheap FR. guise, I thought it was negative because my brain thought it a was a plus sign test and not a line or no line and the positive showed up so quickly the control line wasn't even wet yet. I was legit concerned. Because I'm an idiot. But this also means I'm soooooo pregnant that even after drinking 80 ounces of water yesterday I turned a test right away.
I just needed that for peace of mind and even though I had a pregnancy brain moment it definitely eased some fears.
Another FFFC, I totally POAS the other day. I wasn't having a ton of symptoms and my mind went nuts, so I did it. And yeah, the test line was SO much darker than the control line. HAHAHAHA

@KD5624 actual lol at the "can I have sex after water breaks?" question. That girl is THIRSTY.
I kind of want to go POAS again and do one of those that tells you how many weeks you are. I have this paranoia that I'm ectopic and somehow if the week shows up right I feel like it will mean it's less likely? I am probably making that up.
@sandbar517 right?! When that chick posted about not testing yet, but "she had all the symptoms" i was just a lurker and didnt have BFP yet.... but, if i was in the group you bet your ass id have fun with that one.

Wait, they make those? How do I not know about this? Probably because I'm super cheap and I only buy cheap tests.

I think some women wonder that because in the natural birthing movement there is a lot of anecdotal evidence that sexual stimulation during labor eases child birth pain. Pretty sure it was Ina May Gaskin who said that clitoral stimulation helped with that... But the answer is no because of bacterial risk. (This question came up on a hippie board. Any time up until your water breaks as long as you're not in bed/pelvic rest)
