• @prudence9-2 We haven't met with our Dr after the ER, so I have zero info whether I'll have a medicated or non medicated FET. But my bet would be on the natural side, my protocol has been very minimal since day 1. I'll update you when I get my answer.

@tinjp78 so any reason why you're waiting for October? And not doing it sooner? (Natural cycles are usually quicker)

• @prudence9-2 our Dr and DH opted for this schedule to give my body more time to recover and prepare. I basically don't do much of the diciding because between the 3 of us, I have the least medical background. Also, I think having enough time to rest is good.
• @tinjp78 that's great that you can give your body more time to recover!!!

@sugarbear335 that is so scary. Stay safe.

AFM... had another beta yesterday and surprisingly my hcg levels are already negative. So I'm officially not pregnant and ready to start FET prep.

I should be getting the calendar, hopefully today. And will probably start with Lupron injections next week or the following week.

Scared but hopeful.

• Hi all! I'm also planning on a FET, toward the end of October. I know a few of you already from the summer IVF board. :-) We did a full IVF cycle with a fresh transfer in August, which resulted in a BFN. We've got two embryos on ice right now, but I need to do an SHG on my next cycle since it's been more than a year since my HSG. Presuming it shows nothing, onward with the FET! IIRC and understood my RE correctly, it will be a natural cycle. He mentioned something about estrogen. What's the difference between a medicated or non-medicated FET? Sorry if that was asked already and I missed it!

@prudence9-2 I'm so sorry for your losses. I'm sure it's bittersweet that you're ready to start again. Pulling for you this cycle. Does this mean your FET will be in September instead?
• @Bababatty welcome! Hope the FET will work for you!

AFM... I usually do medicated FET. So once I start medications it's usually 4.5-5 weeks. The plan is to start Lupron on Monday. Which means FET probably during the second week of October.

• @mjpbarretto my clinic doesn't do saline sonogram before FET but before IVF. But I did get it done (yesterday) because ***tw*** after my first m/c had embryo leftovers and had to go thru hystroscopy (and that is after having MUA). So after this last m/c we wanted to make sure that it cleared out! **end tw***

so your transfer is on the third week of October?

• @prudence9-2 Congrats!!! I know its not fun, but it is exciting to get going. ;)

Update from me... we got 3 beautiful frosties!!! Super relieved about that, but since we are not doing PGS, I am leaning towards repeating one more ivf round and banking embies so we don't have to go back and do this again in the future. I haven't spoken with my doctor yet, but if we repeat, then it might mean more like IVF No.2 September, October hysteroscopy/polypectomy, November FET... :/ will definitely keep you updated tho!!!
• @BusinessWife congrats on 3 embryos!!! That's great!

I understand why you want to bank more but you are much younger. So I wonder what your RE will recommend.

Nothing in this process is easy. But we have to make a decision and believe it's the best one. B)

• Yeah, it's definitely a tough decision. @prudence9-2 we have always wanted a bigger family, that's one thing. So I mean if 3 blasts = 3 babies, maybe we would be fine. But I would hate to end up with only one, or even two children, but still have that nagging feeling that our family wasn't complete. Our financial ability to cycle right now depends on my job, too. Which is fairly new, so I mean, how much worse if we were to feel that way, and no longer have the same level of IF coverage to be able to afford it. :/ strike while the iron is got, right?
• @Hopeful_mom yeah. It's definitely a tough decision. And you are younger so you have higher chances that more of your embryos are normal! But even with normal embryos it's not a 100%.

So yeah, I totally get why you would want to bank more!!!

• @prudence9-2 I hear a lot of side effects from lupron I start mine on the 19th.

@BusinessWife congrats on the embryos!
• @mjpbarretto yeah. Lupron causes bloating, weight gain, headaches. So for the first 11 days when I take it alone it will be pretty bad. Then, once I start with estrogen, the headaches should get better.

• @mjpbarretto yeah. Lupron sucks. But if that's what we have to do to get our miracle baby ;)

• @prudence9-2 I agree! Do you have to take other meds like progesterone in oil?
